A word of warning: early in WrestleMania's history, they were inside indoor arenas; nowadays (at least since the late 1990s or early 2000s), they've been in outdoor venues.

The 1994 WC Final should have been held at either the RFK Memorial stadium in Washington DC, or at the old Giants stadium in New Jersey. Making it hard for people to see the action the further back they were sitting. It's why it wasn't selected for hosting matches at the 2026 WC. It didn't meet strict FIFA criteria. Plus having no HD LED screen made it impossible to host WC matches aswell - what with goal replays and VAR decisions.
In a little over a week, we'll find out the venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup held in USA/Canada/Mexico. Perhaps we'll find out the venue for the final then, which is rumored to be Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Though IIRC Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX is also being considered.
The 2026 World Cup final will likely be held at MetLife Stadium in New York City (East Rutherford, New Jersey to be absolutely accurate, only 5 miles west of NYC). That venue has been the hot favorite for a while.
Can you please do the AHL arenas? It would be nice because you did the G-League stadiums, and you still have a bit of time because the championship isnt until next week-ish.
I love how you going from pronouncing something very “English” then pronounce the next word in an almost perfect accent. Deutschland to Olympiastadion.
estadio monumental in argentina is actually going now through major renovations and the renovations look actually pretty cool and they are getting rid of the track iirc
Stade de Colombes: no mention of that venue hosting that titanic clash in 1944 when a bunch of PoWs played a match against the Nazis. From 4-1 down at half time they equalised thanks to Pele’s bicycle kick and Stallone saving a penalty. John Huston even filmed the documentary of this match. I think there was an escape of the footballing PoWs. Max Von Sydow didn’t mind. Michael Caine couldn’t run. John Wark took the piss. Anyway it’s all history and lost in the sands of time
Another final defiantly has to happen at Wembley for a wc because it’s just so iconic within football same with old Trafford which might not be big enough but always iconic

@@mowvu Brazil is well respected. Sometimes more by foreigners than by our own fans. We demand a super high level, both on playing and personality. An exemption can be waived for the personality if the playing is out of this world (e.g: Romário). We have a fertile ground for football that no other nation have, that's for sure. We have a passion as big as our country area. Ok, the southeast and south are the most developed parts of the country when we talk about economics, but a great player can come from anywhere, we have almost 6 thousand possibilities among cities, towns and villages. The most common thing is a kid going away from his hometown when someone discovers him, many players never played for a team in their home state (like the US of A, we have states. But 27 instead of 50). The best example is Pelé himself, he was born in Minas Gerais (their state capital, Belo Horizonte, hosted that game against Germany in 2014) but played in the state of São Paulo (in Santos, a seaside town. But they played many games in the city of São Paulo as well and even in Rio due to their massive demand). About the greatest teams, well... that's always a massive argument. You put 60's and 70's, they are in the conversation. It's the generation that won the first three. But the generation of my father especially (he is 53) includes the 1982 World Cup team as well. It's the most unfortunate thing ever that they never brought the title home. They were loaded in pretty much every front, with the major changes people suggested (the replacement of Waldir Peres on goal and Reinaldo instead of Serginho as a striker) it would be even more loaded. And their HC was the best we've ever produced, the very much missed Telê Santana. If you make a historical starting 11 list with a HC and don't choose him, you're doing it wrong
@@otaviofrnazario it's crazy that the passion is everything. in england we train our kids very early, but it's too structured and organised. we don't let the kids kick the ball higher than head height, zero contact, no heading, very little technical training. it's all fitness and 5 a side. and we have the kids using an adult ball. i think i have seen Brazilian kids using smaller balls for better technique and control. I've watched many documentaries on why Brazil is traditionally so good at football. and yes if a player has a bad ego, it is very damaging. romario was a sick finisher and it was ok. but personally i am not a fan of neymar. he thinks he is bigger than football and bigger than Brazil. what a terrible insult to your nation. i hope he retires quick and you can get some humble superstars again. just my opinion sorry if i offended you. we have lost what it was to be a soccer/football player here. to play on the streets in ripped shoes and to have a poor quality ball means you over compensate when you actually have good things. i always have followed santos because of pelé. my favourite Brazil club. i love their small stadium and the history. i only know of the 60s and 70s because my dad was a big lover of Brazilian national teams. he said when he was a young man that he had never seen anything in his life like Brazil in the 60s. he made me watch garincha, jairzinho, pele, gerson, rivelinho, tostao and i could not believe this football from the 60s and 70s was better than what i was watching in the 90s lol. sorry for the bad spelling of those legend's names.
@@mowvu no problem on the spelling. You're not a native and portuguese is a tough language for foreigners, much tougher than english. And you don't have the graphic signs " ´ " and " ~ " on your board. Considering this, your mistakes were the lack of another r in Garrincha and Rivelino (you put an "h" more) About Neymar, his game is right, his head is not. He has too many people bloodsucking on him and does nothing about it, even his father can be included. That stops him from truly growing, because when his mind is right he can be a top 5 in the world. If you wanna see him with a good head watch the 2011 Libertadores Cup final when he was still 19 and was the best player in the field that day. About the future now: for the next cycle, starting after the World Cup, watch for two guys that I truly hope to be the next greats brazilians anywhere: Endrick and Vitor Roque. Endrick is a guy that has no weak points in front of the net or far from it. He passes the ball like the best midfielders and finishes like the best strikers. An authentic danger to any defense. Also, his mind is far older than his age (16). Just signed his first pro contract with a buying clause of 60 million euros for the richest clubs (top 6 from the Premier League, Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, Bayern), and so far he is worth every dime. My team had a shot to have him in our academy, but we have a president who is a descendant of Scrooge McDuck. Our next door rival, Palmeiras, got him. Why? Endrick came from a very poor area in Brasília, our nation's capital, and under law he could not be sent to a club dorm (he was first found by clubs when he was 11 or 12 I think), and his family couldn't move. Palmeiras paid for his family to move to São Paulo and gave a job in the club for his father to have him in their academy, which is recovering it's historical greatness. Vitor Roque is 17 and already a reality. You probably did not heard much about him because he is a player of Athlético Paranaense, a club that doesn't have much of a media surrounding them, but is really well managed. Cruzeiro, in all of it's bad management, let him out without earning nothing. And the kid is scoring beauties game in and game out, just put his club in the semifinal of the Libertadores (our equivalent to the UCL) last night, for the first time since the year he was born. In a year the european fans will hear about those two, I really hope.
Still ticked that even in the 2026 United Bid is still really about the USA... Sales figures of CONCACAF show there's only really a handful of reliable cities that show up for events like this... Mexico City... EDMONTON! Shit we had 45,000+ people sitting in -25c to watch a critical game to get into this years cup. If that isn't dedication I dunno what is... Btw, it's currently +27-29C here so it's not like cold's an issue during the summers... In fact heat stroke is increasingly an annual killer here because of bravado and a lack of hydration beyond beer...
Yeah I’m American and I have absolutely zero idea why Mexico and Canada were included in the bid when 90% of the games are gonna be in the USA 😂 Mexico has obviously hosted two already so maybe even just Canada and USA would’ve been better or just Canada hosts by itself sometime
"4 years after they invaded their neighbor...", "And it looks pretty much the same, with the exception of Z plastered all over it... ". We don't learn from history, so we're doomed to repeat it.
I'm saying it right now, the 2026 World Cup Final will be held in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Argentina and Messi finally win over France in the final 2-0.
The MetLife Stadium in New York City (East Rutherford, NJ to be absolutely accurate) will likely host the final. It's been the hot favorite for a while.
I really wish Wembley Stadium was hosting this upcoming world cup instead of the lantern stadium. Qatar never deserved it and obviously paid their way to hosting this upcoming world cup. It's a travesty. And it's a travesty that the country that invented soccer has only hosted the world cup one time. It's ridiculous.
FIFA cannot steal enough money, the politicians in England wouldn't open their legs to give massive discounts on taxes. Events like this, there is one rule: if there is a profit, it goes to the organizer (FIFA). If there are losses, the people in the country pay for them. England is way too developed as a country to host a World Cup
@@otaviofrnazario Well... What about the USA? They are jointly hosting the next one. I think it's just FIFA hating the English. Or maybe they just decided to give the next one to the USA joint bid to try and make themselves look better. Idk.
The 1974 (Munich), 1994 (Los Angeles), 2002 (Yokohama, which is close to Tokyo), 2010 (Johannesburg, which is close to Pretoria) and 2014 (Rio) WC finals weren't held in the capital cities. The 1950 match was when Rio was the capital of Brazil, and the 1982 final was held in Madrid, which is the capital of Spain.

and yes if a player has a bad ego, it is very damaging. romario was a sick finisher and it was ok. but personally i am not a fan of neymar. he thinks he is bigger than football and bigger than Brazil. what a terrible insult to your nation. i hope he retires quick and you can get some humble superstars again. just my opinion sorry if i offended you.
we have lost what it was to be a soccer/football player here. to play on the streets in ripped shoes and to have a poor quality ball means you over compensate when you actually have good things.
i always have followed santos because of pelé. my favourite Brazil club. i love their small stadium and the history.
i only know of the 60s and 70s because my dad was a big lover of Brazilian national teams. he said when he was a young man that he had never seen anything in his life like Brazil in the 60s. he made me watch garincha, jairzinho, pele, gerson, rivelinho, tostao and i could not believe this football from the 60s and 70s was better than what i was watching in the 90s lol.
sorry for the bad spelling of those legend's names.
@@mowvu no problem on the spelling. You're not a native and portuguese is a tough language for foreigners, much tougher than english. And you don't have the graphic signs " ´ " and " ~ " on your board. Considering this, your mistakes were the lack of another r in Garrincha and Rivelino (you put an "h" more)
About Neymar, his game is right, his head is not.

Yeah I’m American and I have absolutely zero idea why Mexico and Canada were included in the bid when 90% of the games are gonna be in the USA 😂
Mexico has obviously hosted two already so maybe even just Canada and USA would’ve been better or just Canada hosts by itself sometime
I guess after giving the world cup to 2 human rights violations dictatorships FIFA didn't want to appear sane enough to give it to just one country.
Bro said Czechoslovakia vs The Ottoman Empire 😭😭😭
Yeah, I think the Ottomans have a great team this year.

You can always tell where someone is from by the way they say soccer lmao
I'm saying it right now, the 2026 World Cup Final will be held in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Argentina and Messi finally win over France in the final 2-0.
By 2026 Messi will be using a walker.
@@janellek21 that would make it even greater!
The MetLife Stadium in New York City (East Rutherford, NJ to be absolutely accurate) will likely host the final. It's been the hot favorite for a while.
I highly doubt it’s in Dallas sorry bro
The final for 2022 will be Argentina and England, going to penalties and England winning
Some of this aged well and some of it didn’t
I'll bet Austro-Hungary loses in the next world cup in penalties, just so the Netherlands don't feel lonely anymore at the runner-up table.
Olha o nosso presidente Bolsonaro ali no estádio do catar! Mito
até aqui, mas vocês são enjoados mesmo, ta loco
Idk.

The development around Wembley stadium doesn't look like a good idea - what happens if they want to expand the stadium in the future?
Maybe use smaller players
I hope Ottoman Empire at least makes it to the semis
To bad the Swedish Empire didn't qualify, knocked out by the Russians.

USA 7 - France 0
I hope you're not a gambling man.
All the finals were played in the host country's capital city except for Spain? Come on.
the final in Spain was in Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu
for the rest, I agree
The 1974 (Munich), 1994 (Los Angeles), 2002 (Yokohama, which is close to Tokyo), 2010 (Johannesburg, which is close to Pretoria) and 2014 (Rio) WC finals weren't held in the capital cities. The 1950 match was when Rio was the capital of Brazil, and the 1982 final was held in Madrid, which is the capital of Spain.
Not the biggest soccer fan but loved seeing the arrogant host country, Brazier, whom seemed to think a win in their country was their right, loose to my DEUTSCHLAND squad 7 - 0 in the semis. LOS DEUTSCHLAND!!
Zu sehen, wie die brasilianische Mannschaft viele Tränen vergoss, also sich das Spiel dem Ende zuneigte, war unbezahlbar!
