San Mames has the best atmosphere I’ve ever watched football in, it’s also right in the middle of the city with streets full of great bars on the walk up to the stadium.
The Ceramica has two fun things about it. 1. The away stand is apparently that really high section, which I find funny. 2. The capacity of the stadium is a little under 25000, while the population of Villarreal is only about 50000. This means that the stadium can house about half of the city. If Wembley wanted that same proportion of London’s inhabitants it would have to have a capacity of about 4,5 million!
Villarreal's stadium will always be El Madrigal to me, rather than the naming rights given to a company that makes dinner plates, toilet bowls and other ceramics.
Cool! I like your videos. I wonder if you’d be able to go into more detail about the interior of the stadiums? For example, Barcelona’s stadium looks really incredible and imposing. However, my friend who visited said that it was pretty cramped and run down in the concourse areas, though it was nice once you got to the seats.
These videos blow my mind. European countries are like the size of states over here in the USA I'll be with a bigger population but nevertheless each country has soo many different big stadiums in such small amount of land.. crazy! Or maybe the US is just too vast and sparsely populated
Europe is much more populated than US, and has a much higher population density. Spain is smaller than most of the States but it has more population than any of them. And there are countries even more populated. That´s probably the reason.
I'm a Barca fan from USA and when I visited Spain, Camp Nou was, disappointingly, not that imposing at all. It's an amazing stadium no doubt, but the noise of the crowd seems to leave the stadium. The Santiago Bernabéu, I have to admit, was quite imposing. The crowd was much more lively (as opposed to the Barca crowd which was full of tourists like myself). I also noticed the ultras of Real far outnumbered the ultras of Barca. And the way the stadium was constructed kept that crowd noise in the stadium and rocked the walls of the stadium.
Has realizado un buen trabajo; curiosos comentarios sobre cada estadio de la liga española. Tu inglés está muy bien aunque no sea un idioma muy bonito.
i went to barcelona in January 2020 and watched a barcelona game and i genuinely thought i was gonna die from how cold it was especially because im from california
I just can't wait to see the Bernabeu fully renovated. I lived in Málaga (southern Spain, Andalucia) and i'm thinking of leaving to Madrid to watch Real Madrid regularely in that glorius place they are building.
I went to Barcelona a few years ago and watched a match on both Camp Now and the Spanyol Stadium, TBH the Spanyol fans are much more pasionate than Barca fans which were mostly tourists like me, also the Spanyol stadium is a bit more comfortable than Camp Nou which feel a bit cramped, maybe it's because I really don't like Barcelona FC but I did not really like Camp Nou that much.
Great video man! Rayo's stadium may be an absolute crap, but is one of the most intimidating to play in la liga. It's always packed and has notoriously insane fans. Very proud (and tough) working class people from Vallecas area in Madrid, that hate R. Madrid and Atletico, but are passionate about Rayo since childhood. Many teams prefer an away match at Bernabeu than go to that shack of foulmouth drunkards partying, drumming, screaming and insulting them that close to the pitch for 90 minutes. Thanks to the wall, the goal keeper gets to suffer them only half of the match, but the crowd watching from the Apartments can get nasty too. They are known to hire the balconies and windows for Barça or Madrid fixtures, and you can notice fireworks getting shot from there all the time, which is something not allowed to carry into any stadium, though they can do it legally.
Camp Nou will live a complete refurbishment next years, in which will be much more "closed" and th atmosphere will be more intimidating. Barça ultras are better than may seem just because of the "open" nature of Camp Nou. After the renovation atmosphere will be hotter and noisier.
@@ramontorrijosmartinez ojalá !!! Aunque ya sabes q la segunda es muy complicada . Además creo q tenemos el estadio profesional más antiguo de España. Un saludo
No one comment on the fact that Real Sociedad/Real San Sebastian had CA Osasuna next to the location which immediately came after the stadium for CA Osasuna. I got confused at first seeing that there were two CA Osasuna's then.
The new Bernabeu is gonna look like a deluxe George Foreman grill

Good for Spain in renovating many stadiums instead of building new ones.
If Santiago Bernabeu is already one of the most iconic stadiums in the world…I can’t imagine how it’d be after the renovation 😟

Loving the content mate. Stadiums are fascinating

Dang. I was unaware of the extreme coolness of the Spanish stadiums. Thank you for curing that bit of ignorance.
Didn’t realize that Valencia had issues with a bat. I thought it would be more appropriate for... Real Batis.
Camp Nou means "new field" in English, which I think is kinda funny.
Wait till you find out what Pittodrie means in English.
Looking good for a World Cup bid in 2030. Coming from a UK based fan. Love to potter around Iberia with some tickets in 9 years time

Vallecas is my favorite stadium because of the apartments
The Wanda looks cool but I miss the Vicente Calderón
That was a great looking ground with character!
Todos añoramos el Calderón que quedará en nuestros corazones.
True that. Both Wanda Metropolitano and San Mames have ZERO character.
some of these are absolutely beautiful
Valencia’s stadium is just epic! Real Madrid’s new ground just looks like some kitchen scales.
