I think this is true of women too. Most of the time men do go off and do their own thing regardless and we want them, but when they get reliably easy to please like us we find it a turn-off. Everyone needs to keep satisfying their own needs first, which is sometimes easier said than done when you're head over heels.

Never tolerate this. Never. It will never stop. This man does not truly love you. It’s not YOU who is a problem, a bore! This guy maybe doesn’t know how to truly love you for many possible reasons, none of which you will be able to “fix.” This is not the right man & he will ruin your life.
