I could never believe that Jimi took Meth like a true addict. He was so humble and a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful voice. I believe that a medication given to him by a Dr. for real medical reasons and that he never considered that he was doing drugs. I have seen and known Meth heads and he showed none of those characteristics. We in his music world will always miss and love him for what he left us to enjoy for the rest of our lives if we so choose and believe me I will listen everyday for the rest of my life. I have never been so affected by a singer in my life I will always miss him and so will countless others. RIP Jimi Jamison
I love Jimi Jamison. His beautiful voice is so amazing. His talent is so unmatched to this day. He may not of been the original singer of Survivor. But he the best singer in my opinion. Survivor should be in the RARHOF. Jimi,s voice was and still is Classic. Still missing him in 2024. He was so Electric as a singer and as a beautiful man. He will always be remembered as A Man Against The World. And Im Always Here his talent was unparalleled unforgettable to so many of his fans. I will always love him and miss him even now in 2024. He had started taking a medicament called Adderall which is considered methamphetamine, but Jimi didn't use drugs! Jimi was a gift that God sent us! It was beautiful! It wasn't specific. I take a generic Methamphetamine for my ADD. He looked very healthy, with a beautiful smile and performed impeccably. I'll give it that benefit before I believe anything else.❤

Read this, a man answered me in a comment! Jimi was not a drug addict,😢 It was from Adderall though, not an illegal drug he purchased in an alley somewhere. I knew him at the time. My friend scheduled his venues. It was prescribed and he had just started taking it again while on tour. True, it's an amphetamine, indistinguishable from meth on a tox screen, but a little context can be super important sometimes. They also didn't find elevated levels of the drug in his system, that's why it was ruled a cerebrovascular event secondary to an "incidental intoxication from amphetamine poisoning." Incidental has a very specific definition in medicine. I am a physician by trade. I am also good friends with his then fiance, who also independently confirmed what I just told you.., but like I said, I knew him and It was just an unfortunate accident. A very unfortunate accident. Tragic. But you know, Jimi wasn't a young man anymore, and he had some other health problems going on at the time. I know that for a fact. Combine that with the way you live on the road in a band, being dehydrated, oftentimes exhausted, sleep deprived, not eating healthy, etc. and How that affects your heart rate and blood pressure... It happens more than you know. Not just with musicians and bands. It's also a risk the health care provider has to be willing to take when prescribing it. He may not have gotten the appropriate checkup /workup / follow up when getting the medicine. Some careless healthcare provider of some sort could have nonchalantly prescribed it to him or something for all I know. It happens all the time.

I couldn’t believe Art bell ,Carrie fisher ,Kevin Dubrow and Jimi would touch meth 🤦🏻♂️ RIP to them .
