    Hi guys!!
I've been living in London for 8 years now, grew up in Italy but my parents are from Serbia.
Used to go there every year as a child, haven't been back in almost 4 years.😫
Been watching your videos during lock down and I am feeling so nostalgic!
    Can't wait to go back!
Just wanted to say a massing thank you for what you are doing and the amazing way you are showing my beautiful country to the world!

I have visited the city once during summer and it was amazing. You should definately go back there in a warmer season.

I am really jealous, being Serbian Irish and not being able to go abroad for now. But I am glad you are having fun in Belgrade. Go explore Serbia, experiencing Belgrade is like seeing London only in UK. Go to Novi Sad, the second city there, it is different. But please go and visit south of Serbia, area 50 miles along the border with Montenegro, also east along Danube. I see you visited Albanija, another gem in Balkans, interested in seeing your experiences with rural Serbia.

The prices are normally for a kilo of produce, but if it's something expensive - like, over 1000 dinars, then the price is for 100 grams. The man didn't know the word "rose" in English , so he said "flower" instead, meaning the flavour of the Turkish delight. The other flavour was "nut" and the price was for a kilo.

@@dabbleandtravel The rose and walnut are the most common flavor, the original ones, but not the only ones. Across the Zeleni venac market is almost 100 years old candy shop, bombondzija Bosiljcic (google it), with homemade/handemade sweets. It is the only one left as i know. We often take kids there, because it is the living piece of history and tradicion. And if u are after good ice cream look for the Crna ovca (black sheep), it is in a Kralja Petra street. And there is a local brand for a snowboard/ski jacket that is very cool and popular street wear named Wacky sheep (yea, i know sheeps again), check their insta or facebook page. Those are the things that are autentical local. Enjoy yourself and have a great time. And try cevapi at Cica, Djure Jaksica street near Knez Mihajlova. 😊

Just one small correction. Sweets you have bought are called RATLUK, and yes it is Turkish candy. But it's not brought to Serbia by the people who went on their vacation to Turkey. Serbia was actually occupied by Ottoman Empire (todays Turkey) for nearly 400 years. And naturally, many dishes, sweets, words etc got stuck in Serbia.
    All best to you!

Yo. I see you do a lot of drone flying in Belgrade. How early did you send in the application for getting the flying permits? I'm going in May again and thinking about getting a drone and make some videos 😁

Try burek at "Trpkovic"! It is a real, local one, not those "tourist" versions you showed us. You may find that you don't like it, but at least you could say you have tried it. Don't forget a yoghurt.
You guys are so funny. I almost pee myself watching you at the market. It is classic tourist behaviour; we all do it all the time; we just do not film ourselves.

It's cheap, yes, but for western tourists only. The average monthly salary in Belgrade is 53000 Serbian Dinars, or £386. Your Turkish delight mix costed you £1.46.
Most prices in the Balkans are per kilo (2.2lb).
Edit: Ahahaha, I laughed so much. "A lot of Serbian people were going on holiday to Turkey, bring them back, and they become like a staple..."
Serbia and whole of the Balkans (-MNE) were under Turkish Ottoman rule for almost 500 years, so Balkan people adopted most dishes and candies from them.

Nice video. Yeah, Belgrade has so cheap street markets. I am living here for 2 years and I can confirm it. Good prices and quality products :)
