I really loved the atmosphere of Belgrade when I came to visit last month. You can feel its got a huge potential. Should have stayed more in Belgrade than in overhyped Dubrovnik grrrrr
Whole ex-Yugoslavia coastline is beautiful but it's true Dubrovnik is overhyped. Mainly because of Game of thrones. Parts of that TV show were fumed in Dubrovnik and Croats are working hard on exploiting that as much as they can. Anyways all that will slow down in few years and Dubrovnik will show it's true beauty when there is no more crowds of tourists.
Thank you. I visited Tirana, with my family, for three times. We went to a tennis tournament at a fancy tennis club, near downtown and booked an apartment on Don Bosco street. Everything was ok. People were nice to us.

Nope. The census do not show that at all. It shows that the Serbs were ethnically cleansed the most while the media was hyping LIES. Further, even UN officers witnessed Bosnian Muslims sniping and staging crimes for political propaganda reasons.

@@Joolzguides Slavic languages are similar. We can easily understand eachother, or at least the basics. For example beer in Chech - pivo, Polish - piwo, Serbian - pivo, Slovak - pivo, Croatian - pivo, Macedonian - pivo etc. Of course some countries use Cyrillic alphabet but pronounciation is quite the same.
@-T-X-M- Classic Serbs, blame it on others. Blame other countries for everything. Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Albania are all bad countries and Serbia is the only good one? All of them attacked Serbia in the '90s? Is that what they teach you in schools? A fact: The country that is fighting a war *ON THEIR OWN TERRITORY* is the defender in that war. Example: Germany attacking Poland -> it was fought on the territory of Poland. Same for the Balkan Wars. Belgrade stayed basically intact while Sarajevo and cities of Croatia were destroyed by the Serbs. A defender doesn't put snipers on the hills around Sarajevo to snipe civilians. At the end Serbs had the least civilian casualties, while Bosniaks had the most with Croats taking the second place with a lot less casualties. Lmao people are making memes about the Serbs thinking the whole world is theirs. You know that Albanian and Bosnian muslims aren't the same as Arab Muslims??

Beautiful country, rich in history and culture. Although it's not easy to live here, most people resist and are kind, friendly and hospitable to foreigners. :)
I have friends in Belgrade. During my visits in the 90s when things were pretty bad in Serbia, I NEVER experienced any trouble or hostility from the locals. The best feature of Serbia is the people.
Serbia might not have sea, but it is a great country to visit, especially during winter, because the whole "beach craze" is over at that time. I think Serbia might have the most beautiful inland on the Balkans! There are so many mountains, lakes, forests and other interesting natural sights. We are also very strong with historical sights. There are so many Roman fortresses in Serbia, because Serbia was a part of the Roman empire. The historical sights everyone who visits our country should see are: Old Belgrade, Smederevo Fortress, Vinča and the city of Novi Sad. Serbia is really a "hidden gem" :)
Just make sure you visit us, before they impose some new war upon us. That will be soon, because we are actually getting really close in fixing our economy status. Each time that happens, someone starts some war.
Just a little note, the statue in front of the church @03:09 is not the Emperor himself, it is a typical warrior/knight from the 14th century, the time when Dušan The Great ruled Serbian empire. P.S. Yet as a Serb in Western Europe for the past 17 years I have always been reminded on daily basis that I’m subordinate rase ( and non white) especially by British. I have been so humiliated that I have been permanently scarred. And there we go Brits, Americans and others Irish for example turn up in Belgrade and we are so friendly. Aaa really touching.

He has a few relatives from here and I told him I know he's worried about going back as he left during war here, but if we got married I would like to see where he grew up and pay my respects to his sister at least a honeymoon here. What would you recommend for a homey moon here anyways. My guy is strong, family oriented and unlike American men, he knows how to treat women. We might have a 14yr age difference, but he's a good man and respects women, serious in traditions, serious in religion, which I can't say same about America men who don't know the meaning of being in a relationship and taking it serious 'commitment', however Serbian men know what a relationship is about and stays loyal and true to it.

Once I had a the city walk's with my cousin and his wife, and I noticed that at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, all the coffee's shop and restaurant's were full, a crowd of people walking in the streets. I wondered if this people were working at all? when they going to work? And i didn't have a single trouble with Serbs. If Serbia have a standard like Sweden, and i can choose where to live, i prefer Serbia. It's sunny country, here is cold like fuck.. Greetings
Depends on where you go. If you're going to popular places you have no worries but if you happen to be going through Medakovic or Jerkovic then you should be more careful (at night time).

I really loved the atmosphere of Belgrade when I came to visit last month. You can feel its got a huge potential. Should have stayed more in Belgrade than in overhyped Dubrovnik grrrrr
Dubrovnik is boring, the most excitement they had in decades is when we fired few grenades over the town to scare them.
hahaha koji si ti ludak :)
cibetka76 HahahhahHahahHahahhahaha

Great Video! Serbia has the most friendliest people and the best fun you could ever have!
God bless the Serbs
wtf man?! chill out
btw, great video
Nope. The census do not show that at all. It shows that the Serbs were ethnically cleansed the most while the media was hyping LIES. Further, even UN officers witnessed Bosnian Muslims sniping and staging crimes for political propaganda reasons.

Belgrade is in my heart forever but it's just one of the cities you must visit in Serbia. Serbians are famous for their hospitality, wit and a great sense of humour. Well done Julian capturing Serbian spirit in this video. Ziveli!
Absolutely love this city and never get bored of visiting. Thanks again for making this video! :-)

Jedno piwo mało - with that one sentence you would get beer anywhere in Eastern Europe :)
I guess it's similar in a few languages then?
@@Joolzguides Slavic languages are similar. We can easily understand eachother, or at least the basics. For example beer in Chech - pivo, Polish - piwo, Serbian - pivo, Slovak - pivo, Croatian - pivo, Macedonian - pivo etc. Of course some countries use Cyrillic alphabet but pronounciation is quite the same.
even if u are 10 hahaha
is same on serbian, bosnia, croatia and montenegro
@@Joolzguides croatian, serbian, montenegrian, bosnian speak totaly the same language
One of the safest countries in Europe
@-T-X-M- I live in Nish which is one of the southern cities and it's as safe as they come.
You know that Albanian and Bosnian muslims aren't the same as Arab Muslims??

i had to smile greetings from Belgrade Montana U.S. snow tonight in our Belgrade the mountains cloaked with a snow not to leave til next summer saw a mountain lion this morning stalking mule deer and the badger in my yard gave me the side eye when i came up the drive this evening
Ha ha! I didn't realise there was more than one.
There are a lot of Belgrade's in the whole world, I think there are 8 in U.S.A.,... These towns were built by the Serbian settlers, builders, workers...
I got out of a speeding ticket in Belgrade MT once because another trucker clipped the cop pickup truck that had pulled me over and broke their side mirror. It was a good day for me, not so good for the other guy.
Beograd, as it is original name in Serbian, means white city. Since you have so much snow I guess Belgrade name is well deserved. 😊
Belgrade was 44 times completely or partially destroyed in his past. However always rises as Phoenix did.

Definitely one of my favorite cities in "Eastern Europe"(actually it doesn't belong to E.E. but,..Westerners). I can highly recommend it! If you plan to visit Belgrade, the best time by far is the month of August(Belgrade Beer fest, great festival).

Each time that happens, someone starts some war.
haha now that montenegro has left, dumb serbia cannot into sea
You certainly enjoyed here! I'm glad you did. Kudos to Jelica, she's the real jewel
Just a little note, the statue in front of the church @03:09 is not the Emperor himself, it is a typical warrior/knight from the 14th century, the time when Dušan The Great ruled Serbian empire.

You should come and see other parts of our beautiful country!
We are small but very proud country with a long history of wars. Whatever they tell us about us just don't comment untill you see from the first hand. The real truth is that Serbs are very friendly people and they love to guest anyone from other countries. :)
As a native Serb, I can say that the choice of music is amazing.
You did a great job with learning the language :D Serbia gave the world many great minds like Nikola Tesla, Mihajlo Pupin (he perfected telephone), Jovan Cvijic world known geologist, Mihajlo Petrovic also world known mathemathician, Car Dusan wrote one of the greatest book of laws that many countries copied, and many laws are active till this day, and many many more. We are small country with great people, broken with wars, greedy politicians, western countries, that are taking our resources and gaining welth on our backs, but we are still here in the center of the Balcans :)
that fortress was built before christ, reconstructed in 14th century...
Not a fortress before Christ but a Roman rusticae hence the old name of Belgrade SINGIDUNUM. The Romans had quite a few of these garrisons and settlements along the river Danube. Excarvations show settlements in the region that date back further in time.

Silly me, I'm so used to his London tours when I read " Belgrade " I immediately thought " Belgravia " which is a wealthy district in London! Not for a minute did I think of Belgrade in Serbia.
