It is always a pleasure to follow you around.... I am a Sicilian in London and after watching your London videos I just discovered this one of Sicily. I am so glad you enjoyed Sicily, thank you for enhancing the Beauty and history of my homeland! I hope you will return to Sicily to discover more beauty spread around the Island. Abbraccio grande, Bravo Julian!
I cannot believe I came across this video on Cefalu , I visited it 33 years ago , and I remember sitting at the same cafe you started the video with . . . I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. Keep up the good work Joolz
Wonderful to watch - even more so from COVID-ridden Spain in December, I was smiling all the way through, it looked like one of those holidays you remember nostalgically all your life. You are a master documentary-maker!
I worked at the Rock Garden restaurant in London in the 90's. I remember you doing magics and tricks for entertainment . Glad you went visiting my country. Peace out. Ciao
I was just there for a day trip in June with one of my daughters and my cousin and his girlfriend who both live near Agrigento. A lovely city with wonderful ambiance and excellent food!
Brilliant, Julian ! This'll be my summer hols this year. Away from home, while stuck at home. 😩 Now, I'll watch again. 😊 And then I'll have a go at the cheese filled scotch egg thingy... Stay well and safe ! Love from (a rainy) Norway 💖
My Parents are from Ragusa in Sicily and I loved the memories you brought back to me from a beautiful part of the world. The food is fantsitic and you must try the freshly made ricotta canole in Sicily particularly in Ragusa. They are to die for. Thank for a great video.
What an informative film ! As most of all the world Sicily is known mainly for one thing...............But there is so much to do and see.........Thanks again Julian.....
An excellent documentary! I’m surprised your subscriber based is still low. You have potential to be big. Keep it up! I’ll be watching all your London guides next few days because I’m heading there later this week.
Yes I skipped Sicily because was indoctrinated by fear stories of the Mafia. Same thing with Ireland. Grew up with hearing about the IRA and trouble's. Probably two places I really should visit. Didn't Alestir Crowley live close by!!!
would love to stay at one of the villas, were coming from Scotland so we booked a Thomson holiday package, Cefalu/Sicily is one of the nicest countries you'll ever likely to visit
that sounds a good idea ,your docs are amazing i've been self promoting Cefalu to family & friends and in my writings i'm a song writer/poet 'if your in Cefalu in September the coffees are on me 'i changed my profile picture on here to one picture from last May in Cefalu
I really love your videos joolz! I enjoy watching your walks in London but this trip was amazing (I' m biassed as I' m italian). Yet you should have visited Taormina, the best place in Sicily and one of the best places in Italy! Next time!
You are courageous for exploring Alistair Crowley’s former home, oh my! Not only is it forbidden, but I can only imagine how creepy the energy is in there
Ahhhh....the Young Lady at minute 14:42 !!! Reminds me of a Woman I fell madly in Love with in New Orleans a decade ago. She was from a family on the West bank...Sicilian Immigrants!
It would be great to have you two as my tour guide when I go in June. I wasn't going to go to Cafelu, but I want to try one of those scotch egg things, and I've Google Earthed Antica Focacceria so I'll go. Good vid.
"You can take a stroll along the golden sand, see the snoging couples, surfers, bronzed life guards, beautiful women, and men of a certain age proudly parading in fammously tiny swimming trunks. I must say, you've got to admire their balls". LOL! Love this video.
Hey Jules, I'm in one my Joolz runs at present and found myself here in Sicily after Pitcairn and Phoenix. As much as I enjoy your walks round London, I think your travel videos are great, though I don't agree that Pitcairn was your best. I prefer Sicily. Do more, please. You must travel often, as a global media celebrity cashed up from your years as a kite impresario. Give us some more.
I like your quirky style which is in contrast to Rick Steeves' show. That feast at the end looked amazing but it would have been nice to have heard from a local food writer. I think Giuliano, the net maker, is referring to Salvatore Giuliano the famous bandit!
Dear Joolz! Me and my bf are travelling to sicily in july and I saw your nice video! What was the name of the wineward you visited in cefalu? I would like to plan a day to one.
Move over Rick Steves, Julian McDonald is taking over the world of tourism videos. Your videos are way more fun and entertaining. You make me feel like if I was there I would be having that much fun too. You don't just sell the viewer on the place but the experience also. I will be heading to London in 10 days, I can't wait.
I bet if you return to the Temple of Thelema around 2:00 AM, there is more action going on in that place nowadays than it had ever seen before. Oh, I'll make sure to have Marco be my guide to that event 😉
Last year I fulfilled a life long ambition and went up Mt Etna. I have always wanted to see a volcano. It was last December when I was holidaying on Malta and took a trip there for only 130 euros. It included the ferry and coach to Etna followed by a visit to Modica to sample the chocolate.

I have just had a holiday in Sicily!!!
This is superb.
I loved every second.
I didn't know how fabulous Sicily is.
Thank you, thank you.
This guy has an impeaccable accent in both English and Italian. Impressive. He takes the time to enunciate both languages properly. Kudos.

Cefalù, bellissima, la Sicilia bellissima, piena di cultura e tradizioni!!!!

Greetings from Canada. Wonderful trip. Thanks for taking us with you!
We love Canada Lake Ontario North Side - go there twice a year for the last 10 years - - just wish it was not that windy
That was brilliant. At home sick with a flu bug, have been binge watching your videos all day. You are a great find.
I’ve been binge watching since yesterday...we used to live in London back in the 60s/70s. Great stuff.
@@JagBetty Was the best of times I'm sure. x
I've never been there. Thank you for bringing its beauty to all of us here.

Ciao bello! Thanks. I have just won an award for this film in Istanbul!!!
Fun London Guides - Julian McDonnell Films No way! You definitely deserved it 👏👏👏😃
Just back from Taormino in Sicily...unbelievable place..so stunning!

Ciao bello! Thanks! Did we meet? I'm sure we must have spoken. You aren't the blond guy from Torino are you?
These videos are so well produced. They are a more fun version of the travel programmes on the bbc in the 90s.
Excellent 👏😎 - you really have captured the Cefalu vibe.
Awesome work Joolz
Thanks. These films don't tend to do that well on youtube but hopefully with time people will watch!
Nice adventure. Beautiful places. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. God bless you.

Cheers! Well, did I mention I'm an award winning travel film maker? Let's see how this one does. It was fun but hard work believe it or not!
What an informative film ! As most of all the world Sicily is known mainly for one thing...............But there is so much to do and see.........Thanks again Julian.....
Yes, they preferred I didn't mention that thing but in reality you don't encounter any of that.
Indeed you don't
What thing is that?
that it's the most beautiful island in the world ;) c u in Chefalu next year !
That "thing" never bothers tourists, it isn't interested in them.
We are going in Oct 2022, Love the humor and enjoyed the tour
Very nice video♥️.....thanks! I am Sicilian woman🌷

We live in Palermo and we have house in Cefalù for the holidays of summer.

Whoa don't diss Rick. Personally I'd like to see them collaborate in a video. I think it would be travel perfection then.
