In Hungarian we both call the city Nándorfehérvár (white castle) as well as Belgrád. :) Amazing video.

Beograd means “white city”. Don’t quote me on this, but as far as I know the Belgrade fortress used to be white before the Ottoman invasion and it used to gleam in the sun and have a beautiful white reflection on the water and that’s how the name was born.
Btw, I’ve been on a tour around Hungary a couple of months ago. Such a stunning country! 😍

I was a week in Belgrade this month after I went to my Grandparents in Zlatibor and it was a really cool experience, Belgrade for me was like a mix between cologne in germany, and eastern block feeling, really interesting and fun to go!

As a Beo resident, if you seen the infrastructure in Serbia, poor working conditions (most people have a few jobs). Witnessed the cowardly corruption and poor wealth dispersal, you'd realise, the government here would not give you 1 million fake dinars, never mind dollars.
