Some clarifications about ciorbă de burtă: it is not cooked intestines, it literally means belly soup, so it's the stomach that is the main ingredient. Nothing is fermented, we don't cook that way. The sour taste was either vinegar or smântână (sour cream). We also use garlic or peppers to cut that heavy taste of the dish, so that was a correct observation you made. All in all, ciorbă de burtă is not for everyone, but it is not that bad either 😅
It seems lots of American Vloggers label ciorba de burta as intestines.I think they just watch each others channels and repeat false information without doing their own homework. They all go to the same places, eat the same food and try the same activities.

Bucharest had very affordable public transit and it was also super efficient so we didn’t see the need for a weekly pass. And unfortunately, we didn’t even really look into it because we had such a good experience on the transit.
Great! We love this recommendation! Thanks for giving it to us. We can’t wait to explore outside of Bucharest our next visit and we will be sure to visit this spot!
We have visited Budapest before we started to do RUclips! We absolutely have to get back to share that amazing beautiful city! Thanks a million for watching!
Yeah, the tripe soup is not my favorite either. I hated it for the longest time because the first one I tried at some summer camp, made by an inept cook, was atrocious. Yours looked much better btw. I rediscovered tripe soup lately, but I only like it from certain restaurants, as the taste can vary significantly due to the recipe. So maybe you will like it better from somewhere else, who knows? You don't HAVE to like it, personal taste is personal taste. The point of exploring is to find what you do like. Wherever you're going next, enjoy, have fun and don't fret about what you "should" do! You two are fun to watch, mishaps included. Thank you for sharing! 🤗
Thank you so much for the kind words. Looking back the pair of creaminess and sour could be a flavor to be craved so maybe we will try the chicken version next visit to Romania. Thanks again for watching, it means the world to us!
Trype soup is actually made of cow stomach, so you are eating "beef" not pork :) . The sournes varies as it can be eighter from the cream or from the vinegar but it should be mild in taste withe garlic flavour at the end, never overpower. Enjoy your stay-and please try some cakes
😭we know! So sorry but the music service we use for copyright free songs didn’t have any Romanian music and that one kinda sounded like a restaurant😂. Next time we visit we will find a way to get some Romanian tunes in there. Thanks for watching!

Yeah! We recorded for 2 months before we decided to share our trip on RUclips and traveling full time it became harder to edit while on the move almost every day. We decided to spend the time exploring, instead of editing full time. Our next trip we will be posting much more up to date but it’s a lot of work so for the time being we are on a bit of a delay. Thanks for watching, cheers!
I watched some of your videos and I really love the honesty and how nice you guys are! You even visited some places I never visited and I was born in Bucharest... but i'm mostly living at my computer... And how could anyone here mugg you? Seeing you so nice, they might take you out for some beers instead! The pick pocketers exist, but they prefer crowded busses and places, not rainy weather :)) I wanted to point out that the "Ciorba de burta" is made with beef belly and boiled beef bones, not from pork. It's not fermented and it could be gross if not cooked properly. I didn't liked it before I tasted one that was really well made. It's not an easy dish to make and as a Romanian, I wouldn't try it at "Ciorbarie" they are some sort of soup fast food made for corporate employees. Not a real traditional place. If you ever get the chance to come back to Romania, try it at "Restaurant Potcoava", a place where our former presidents love to eat (and no, it's not an expensive place, it's just a secret and good taste place). Or give me a message so I will ask my dad to cook it for you at no cost. Also, I wanted to point regarding the other video, Goulash is not a romanian dish.
Thank you so much for watching. We truly loved Bucharest and can’t wait to go back to Romania to visit other cities! The soup I think is an acquired taste, we could totally see how it was something that you would crave. I think next time we will try the chicken version. Thanks for the restaurant recommendation, we will add this to our list for our next. Is it but a home cooked meal sounds even better! We will be sure to reach out if we head back that way! Thanks again for watching and the true hospitality
Haha we will be the happiest people ever if we ever get a sponsor for one of our videos. That’s how we will know we have made it😂. We do have some tough times and get into arguments but they are usually short lived and mostly because we are hungry. That’s why we eat so much lol. Thanks again for watching your comments mean the world to us.
tripe soup is my favorite, maybe it's an acquired taste and we're more used to eating organs and stomach of animals but it's so savory in the best of ways, a little sour, a little creamy, the flavor of the meat(the stomach has a bit of meat too). should definitely try to go visit places not all other youtubers/tourists go to in Romania and even in Bucharest, because a lot of those places are the most kitchy ones(like for example Bran castle for me is not worth it, see it from outside and go to the mountain villages nearby instead(Magura/Pestera, Sirnea) beautiful nature, a taste of traditional, trails that cross these villages and offer panoramic views of 2 mountain ranges and the hills, some other cute easy trails. Around Zarnesti there's cute places and the town is a better example of small quaint old transylvanian town, with a car you can easily go to other villages and places between Brasov and Sibiu. You could also go to Sfanta Ana lake, only volcanic lake in Romania and very beautiful, lots of bears. In Bucharest I always tell people to try and go walk the streets in the old neighborhoods with houses like in Cotroceni area, left and right of Victoria avenue, left and right of Aviatorilor/Dorobanti, the old town/unirii is maybe the worst part. Oh and Caru' cu bere restaurant looks great but it's not the best food because of how touristy it is. October is the best month, weather tends to be nice and the autumn colors start to pop. I'd avoid June to August, our summers have become unbearable, it's over 33-35 almost every day and a lot of the time it's even worse
We definitely want to plan a return trip to Romania and hit some different cities as well. These are such helpful tips. We will be sure doing corporate them when we finally get to book our return visit. I think next time when we try this sour soup will try the chicken variety and and work our way back up to the tribe version. I can see how it is addictive and we will try at least three times. Thanks again for this comment.

There are so so so many options you could choose from, but for instance, for the section from 6:28 and on you could use George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody, (for reference, here ruclips.net/video/1l3uA-lQFS4/видео.htmlsi=x7FgmaQCYnM6VrEU )
It was so hard to find Romanian music on the platform that we use to find music without copyright restrictions. That is a very beautiful song thank you for reccomending it. We’ve saved it and will include it in our video when we return to Romania, thank you!

I keep reading comments that says it's hard to spend 100$ or that Romania is cheap. It's not, not in Bucharest. You ate street food. Go to a nice (and i don't mean fancy, or fine dining or touristy) restaurant and have 2 nice meals, one dessert to share and one bottle of wine. There you go, 50-100$ gone!
We planned on going to a nice restaurant to end our day but we aren’t big on fancy dinners anyway and we figured we could afford to eat and drink more at the Christmas market. The restaurants we got to try there were really amazing and we can’t wait to return to try more of them!

10 lei 2 coffees ?! 15 one now. Carturesti is good (I spend a lot of money going there). Nowadays prices are lower in France and USA. With 100$ you cannot do much. Yet a beautiful country to visit, no dracula, no warewolves, we don't eat people, nothing is mystic in Transilvania, sould you observe some tradition manifestations, they are not on a day to day basis( just for christmas, 1 th of March), we are welcoming people, safety is high.

That makes total sense. We are lucky to be able to work humble bar jobs and make a comfortable living in the us. We worked hard for 3 years to save up money so that we could spend this year traveling. We are back home and broke again but it was worth the experience and we feel immensely grateful for the opportunity and never take it for granted.
As a Romanian American I’m happy you haven’t been pick pocketed. As a precaution my Romanian Parents will leave their wallets wherever we are staying and take only what we need in vets breast pockets or front facing cross bags
I’m sure that it’s always good to be safe. We felt very comfortable there and didn’t run into any issues. The Romanian people were so hospitable and fun to be around. We enjoyed our visit.
It's sad, but it seems that tourists have a more correct idea about safety in Romania than Romanians who have been disconnected from reality here for a long time. I don't know about the US, but Bucharest, although very crowded and "diverse" compared to smaller Romanian cities, is much safer than Western European capitals.
We worked hard to save money for years so we were able to take our trip. Every pen y we spent was very important to us which is why we didn’t even complete our challenge. We do need to spend some of that money so we are able to experience as much within our budget while traveling. We spend much less frivolously when we are home.

Thank you kindly. It blew us away, we can’t wait to get back to see more cities but Bucharest is worth the hype! Cheers!
Good afternoon from Papua New Guinea.
I enjoyed watching your contents.
Great contents.
Thanks a million! We appreciate you taking time to watch our crazy travel!
@@HeresGoodTravel thank you for responding to my comments may God bless you.
god bless you guys ! so eager to see you back !
Thanks a million for watching. We’ve added a ton of foods to try and cities to see the next time we visit beautiful Romania!
please come back, Romania is like an onion, more to discover !
Way to goo, very nice video guys! 😀
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! Bucharest was fantastic!
The soup was licking you back!!! That was hilarious 😆 😆😆😆 ❤❤❤
Haha thanks for watching and for the comment! We are going to try the chicken version of that soup next time we visit Romania. Can’t wait to return and explore even more cities!
I think you will enjoy to go to fair. Try the one from Valea Cascadelor, is in the west part of Bucharest, between Militari and Drumul Taberei hoods. Almost forgot fair is open only in weekend until like 2 PM.
Just looked this up, it seems right up our alley. We will be sure to add it to our list for the next time we visit. Thanks for the info
cool videos, i really enjoyed them, if you plan on coming back in the future, please feel free to let me know down here, i'd love to give you some local recommendations on food to eat, places to visit, and overall exciting/fun things to do here.
also a huuuge tip, the countryside has so much more to offer (just to keep you interested 😂)
Yes yes yes!!! Thank you so much. We are looking at going back but won’t be until the coming summer at the earliest. We will save your comment and reach out if and when we plan our return to Romania! Thank you so so much!
Ciorba de burta is super heavy, you either love it or hate it... it's normal among Romanians too :)
I can totally see how the creamy sour broth could be something that people would crave. I think next time we will try the chicken version. Thanks so much for watching we had an amazing experience in Bucharest!
Lovely couple!I really enjoyed your videos
Thanks a million m! We are still learning how to create while traveling but we love sharing our experiences with our new friends and family! Cheers!
That monument, we call it "testicle on a stick" :))
Really close by, there's a nice restaurant called Excalibur (medieval type, encouraged to eat using your hands, tons of food for cheap).
Anyways, really glad that you enjoyed your trip here! Hope the rest of your journey goes well! (if it did not end already)
🤣of course they call it that! It was a really cool monument to bump into. We will add Excalibur to our list without a doubt! That’s right up our alley. Thank you kindly for watching and having fun with our videos! Cheers!
the four signs of a serial killer : wets the bed past childhood , likes torturing small animals ,is an arsonist ,doesnt like ciorba de burta ... some creepy shit
😂
Is funny that people thinks Romania is not safety in 2023. This country is most safe than any US state or country here in EU.
Could not agree more. Americans especially have an unrealistic view of the outside world. It’s sad it prevents people from visiting some of the most amazing places in the world. It’s sad that we even had to mention it but wanted to show Bucharest in a positive light so hopefully people will understand how safe it is. Cheers! Thanks a million for taking the time to watch
@@HeresGoodTravel Americans truly have a big lack of memory of where they come from, form where the civilizations comes from. They need to read more, educate themselves more. Is really sad to see people with this mentality in 2023.

Tu stai la residence în Cluj, nu? Ia du-te prin orașele mici din Moldova sau prin sud, și să ai norocul să dai un bombardier beat.

💯 We had an amazing time in Bucharest and can’t wait to go back and visit more Romanian cities and try some more delicious food!
Good video.
Greetings from San Diego.
Thanks so much for the kind words! We call San Diego home when we aren’t traveling! If we ever get caught up on our travel blogs we are gonna make some SD food videos! We did make one last Comic Con if you’re interested. ruclips.net/video/1-7izay6pf8/видео.htmlsi=bsGd0euBE6nFzLbZ
Thanks again🤙
@HeresGoodTravel thanks, see you around.
You seem the more sincere guys over here , glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks a lot. There was some dishes we wished we could fry but we will definitely be back!
@@HeresGoodTravel Next time you get here, ask for "Pomana Porcului", you will enjoy it
Is there a weekly pass or multiple fare pass you can buy for public transportation in Bucharest? Where do you buy it?
Bucharest had very affordable public transit and it was also super efficient so we didn’t see the need for a weekly pass. And unfortunately, we didn’t even really look into it because we had such a good experience on the transit.
Nice documentary...❤
Thank you, we had an amazing time in Romania!
the belly soup is seasoned with cream and vinegar according to everyone's taste...the cream is ordered separately and the vinegar is on the table
We love that. Foods that can be seasoned and garnished to taste our our favorite. We will try the chicken version next time we visit Romania!
Another best place for mici in bucharest is at "La Cocoșatu" near to Băneasa Airport
Great! We love this recommendation! Thanks for giving it to us. We can’t wait to explore outside of Bucharest our next visit and we will be sure to visit this spot!
GUYS. NEXT TRAVEL GOO IN HYNGARY BUDAPESTA KELETY. IS NR.1 BIG STATION TO ON EUROPE ;)
Thank you so much for watching! We can’t wait to return to Romania to explore outside of beautiful Bucharest to try papanasi!
Love the Greek music in the background 😂 nothing to do with Romanian culture!
😭we know! So sorry but the music service we use for copyright free songs didn’t have any Romanian music and that one kinda sounded like a restaurant😂. Next time we visit we will find a way to get some Romanian tunes in there. Thanks for watching!
Nice video, i'm going there June 2024 solo traveller, should I bring romanian cash with me or I can just use card?
Honestly we were blown away that almost everywhere took cars even the busses and trains. We were even able to pay with our card at the Christmas market. I would say to take some out but not to be nervous about paying by card.
Thank you@@HeresGoodTravel
Thank you so much! We actually found the weather to be very nice considering we visited in November. The old town looked so beautiful with the rain on the cobblestone streets!
Not the best question but why you uploaded these in summer but recorded in winter?
From San Diego? Wow, I have just been there two weeks ago, from Romania 😂
No way! I wish we knew we were in town we would’ve loved to show you around! Did you enjoy it?
Welcome! Enjoy!🍀💯💐
Thanks we love Romania!
For her, too, the diameter of the pupils are the same in the day as during the night, so she wears too contacts which change the eye color.
Anything for the gram
I watched some of your videos and I really love the honesty and how nice you guys are! You even visited some places I never visited and I was born in Bucharest... but i'm mostly living at my computer...
And how could anyone here mugg you? Seeing you so nice, they might take you out for some beers instead! The pick pocketers exist, but they prefer crowded busses and places, not rainy weather :))
I wanted to point out that the "Ciorba de burta" is made with beef belly and boiled beef bones, not from pork.
Love that you guys are always smiling, showing your teeth and all!! Lol. It's like you should be sponsored by a toothpaste company, or something! Lol
In the NE side of romania you can find a place called Bucovina. The montains are insane and the lifestyle is verry traditional
It's my onor to reprezent
Google-Masivul Rarau, Poiana Stampei
Bucovina was recommended by a couple viewers and it really looks incredible. We will add it to our list of must see spots on our next trip to Romania! Thanks for watching!
The diameter of the pupils during the day is EXACTLY the same as during the night, so he wears contacts which change eye color !
Interesting theory indeed
@@HeresGoodTravel Just look closely in both situations.
I wonder if they can recommend the brand next video
I noticed you had greek music playing from about 5:23 on and wanted to recommend using Romanian music instead.
We’ve saved it and will include it in our video when we return to Romania, thank you!
frumos :)
Thanks a million for watching!

Thank you! We have a long list of places to visit when we return to Romania. We were blown away and had such a fun time exploring Bucharest. Thanks for watching!

How are you like if California? We live in San Diego! Are there any Romanian restaurants in socal?
@@HeresGoodTravel I'm Hungarian from Romania(Transylvania-Cluj-Napoca). I haven't checked out restaurants, since my wife can cook all those foods at home, but I know a store in Garden Grove that sells "langos", "kurtos", "sarmale", etc. International Meat and deli.
Langos was one of our favorite things we ate in Budapest!
Wish I could hang out with you. I especially dig americans cause,.....I'd need to discuss some things with you..

"it's licking me back a little bit" 😅
😂That soup did not make the list of best things we ate last year😂 That restaurant was great though we went twice
Can't wait to go to America and behave like you 🎉😂😂😂
Lol no doubt! Make sure to visit San Diego and we will show you around!
The tripe is beef not pork, no milk just sour cream and if the soup is sour, eat it with bread.
Love this, it’s crazy that it’s only sour cream because it is so creamy. We will try the chicken version on our next visit. We had so many great things to eat in Romania we can’t wait to return.
8:45 It's beef stomach
We learned this after the fact. Thanks so much for watching our video. We had an amazing time in Bucharest and can’t wait to see more of Romania!
back to the airport porbably
We go to Sweden next and our money did not go quite as far as it did in Bucharest. We are a lot of instant noodles😂
Ciorbă de burtă is a love or hate thing
😂 We went to the big leagues with the tripe. Next time we will try chicken. We could see how it would be addicting
Visiting only Bucharest means seeing almost nothing of Romania. You should return to discover the real flavors of this country 👍
We have every intention of returning and exploring more of Romania, thank you!

Thank you kindly for watching us struggle to pronounce Romanian words😂. We really had the best time and can’t wait to get back to Romania to explore even more cities since we were only able to see Bucharest this time around.
the black church in Brasov it's said that in the 1600s occult practices happened in there. And there was a fire. Probably their WI FI shorted in the attic and burned.
Oh my gosh that is so cool. Brasov is on the top of our list for places to visit the next time we can make it to Romania! It looks incredible! People have been so nice and given us a long list of things and places we need to see

the tripe is beef not pork
Ahh we learned this eventually. We were going to edit it out but said “nobody will notice”🤣 we were wrong. Thanks for watching!
Muzica și voie buna. 😅😅
Thank you so so much for watching and commenting! We had an incredible journey. Have an amazing day😍
That type of soup you hate it or love it .I ...hate it ! Otherwise the Romanian cuisine is super !
🤣 we think it could grow on us over time. And we can’t wait to return to Romania to explore more outside of Bucharest. Thanks again!
Guys you're so nice, but why are you playing Greek music in background??? Search for romanian, please!😊
We tried so hard! RUclips has copyright restrictions on a lot of music and the service we were using at the time had a shamefully low amount of Romanian music to choose from. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, please don’t hate us! We will do our very best to find some Romanian music we are able to use the next time we visit your Amazon country. Cheers!
Tripe should be beef not pork.
It was we just didn’t fully understand what it was at the time
10 lei 2 coffees ?!
😂We were lucky to pack so light we couldn’t buy anything extra. Thanks for this awesome comment and for watching our video! We promise to promote Romania to our viewers and friends! We will be back to explore Marie cities in the future!❤️
Tripe soup its made out of beef tripe not porc
Noted. We would like to try the chicken Versión the next time we visit Romania.
Romanian style Tripe Soup (Ciorba de burta) is ALWAYS BEEF, never pork.
We have learned this valuable lesson. Thanks for watching, we loved Romania!
Hi the soups are cow soup one it's stomach cow soup en red one it's breast cow
We could see how you could learn to love the sourness and creaminess of the soup. We will try the chicken variation the next time we visit Romania!
100$ is the minimum weekly wage in Romania just in case if someone think that the prices are cheap.
@@HeresGoodTravel i;m so glad
It's sad, but it seems that tourists have a more correct idea about safety in Romania than Romanians who have been disconnected from reality here for a long time.
I don't know about the US, but Bucharest, although very crowded and "diverse" compared to smaller Romanian cities, is much safer than Western European capitals.
It’s not Pork it’s Cow intestin
Thank you for the clarification. Even other times we’ve tried tripe we thought it was pork. So good to know thank you
it's cow stomach, not intestin
Wtf are you talking about? We don't cook intestines
Not intestines, it is the cow stomach :))
Are you able to eat the intestines as well or only the stomach?

We loved it there and ate some great food. We have a lot more Romanian food that we will save for our next visit when we can visit other cities!
Most Romanians , can live with 100$ , a month .😊😂. 100$ only on food .😢
We worked hard to save money for years so we were able to take our trip. Every pen y we spent was very important to us which is why we didn’t even complete our challenge. We do need to spend some of that money so we are able to experience as much within our budget while traveling. We spend much less frivolously when we are home.
