Whipple x VMP Gen 6 3.0L Stage 1 vs Stage 2 in Depth Comparison! | 2024 Mustang Dark Horse

- In today's video, we take a deep dive into Stage 1 and Stage 2 Gen 6 3.0 L kits for the '24 Mustang GT and Dark Horse.
We've recently had a pair of '24 Dark Horse Mustangs in for these kits and that created an awesome opportunity to break these kits down with dyno results!
The Blue Ember Dark Horse received the VMP Gen 6 3.0 L Stage 1 kit and made 701 rwhp while the Vapor Blue Dark Horse got the Stage 2 version of the kit and made 761 rwhp.

Remember when this setup made 810 RWHP on 93 octane !!! 😂 the AMRY remembers.
However, if you get the stage 1 with the warranty and once your warranty is up you can then swap to the stage 2 throttle body and pulley and reflash from Whipple (according to Ford) then you get the best out of both kits... I had the stage 1 installed on my DH already and loving it. Great informative VMP video as always, thanks guys😊
I bought a Gen 6 stage 1 (stock throttle body) and Whipple said no warranty available. Are you sure?
100% sure, as long as #1 it's a stage 1, and #2 needs to be installed by a certified Ford mechanic
And Ford is the one who warranties it for 3yr/36k

Comparing graphs in an Apples to Apples way, the stage 2 makes roughly 720-730hp at the 7100rpm peak of the stage 1. As someone who’s brother has a whipple stage 2 s550 making about 660whp, it pulls plenty hard on the street. Traction is a real issue even on a ET street R from a stop. I’d prefer the stage 1 kit to keep that warranty and I can’t imagine it being much slower than the stage 2 kit. Octane booster might make up the difference in power seeing these engines are octane limited

I liked the ESS SC on the S550 Mustang but plan to go with Whipple this time. How risky is it going with the more power Stage II?

Lol im. Confused my 21 gt roush charged made Same power on the dyno as this supercharger it didn't effect my factory warranty and I get 21 mpg
2024 F150 RCSB, 4x4, stage 1 with a warranty….good enough daily for me. Just having a hard time justifying a $45k F150 XL. Crazy.

Why should we be happy about not having the ability to tune the s650? And only certain companies have access and ability to calibrate and tune the pcm?
Any idea what a 23 f150 with gen 6 stage 2 whipple and longtubes would make..pump gas only.

What about if someone like me wants to bring my 2017 PP Manual GT in for the Gen 6, stage 1? Can I get some kind of warranty? And if not a warranty can i get a stage 1 gen 6 with 1 MAF and air box???? If I can get a Gen 5 cheaper I will but it would be nice to have the lastest Whipple gen 6, for my Gen 2 GT... ????

I’m pretty sure this was just a baseline dark horse slapping on the super charger kits. Hence why at the start they were like low 400s at the wheels before kitted
@@adammauer6424 not a baseline. That is what’s offered to the public but ofcourse they have to do tricks to get high numbers and people to buy it

I think they did smaller pulley & added Catless Kook Headers with Boost
Detonation with the stage 2…. You can see the smoke when they did the dyno pull.
False, they have the best tuners. I had mine on their Dyno and it did a rolling burnout with 714whp.

Put this into perspective I own a Gen1 coyote. I have a Hellion 55mm kit small turbo setup. I made on 10lbs 750+ hp stock engine….. this kit is a money grab and a junk ass product. You aren’t reengineering the wheel man smh
