1. Did you.change out the spark plugs when you did the intake and exhaust? I’ve read where folks ended up in limp mode with factory plugs with too large of a gap. 2. Did you install Einach (or other s aftermarket sway bars) sway bars as well as the lowering springs or are the sway bars still OEM? I just received my (US spec) 22 GT2 AWD, PM with red interior. Absolutely love it but looking to install a few “upgrades”. Oddly enough the first thing I immediately ordered when it arrived was the mishimoto catch can for the exact same reason. Curious if the rear spoiler is from Spoiler king (as the roof spoiler is) or maybe M&S? Great looking car. Surprised the strut braces in the engine compartment are stock and not Carbon Fiber or red. Helluva ride you’ve got there. Thank you Peter for this video. This is very professional and exactly what the Stinger community needs. Hopefully the “higher ups” come down to street level and recognize the potential of this car and the following it has.
Hi Mike, thank you so much, and congrats on your new Stinger! Yours Has a nicer interior and bigger screen, but no sunglasses holder anymore sadly. :( Answers below: 1) I did not replace the spark plugs; no need to for the intake/exhaust as these are fairly simple bolt on upgrades, and like many of us, I’m just an average middle-class income guy who likes reliable and affordable cars with more personality! 2) Just the Lowering springs for now. I do have the Eibach sway bars sitting in my garage as I bought them with the springs, but did not install them after learning they may cause bushing noises when hitting bumps. Car handles pretty good as-is. I might install them down the road….. 3) Yes, the roof spoiler is Spoiler King; if you get one and paint it, make sure to take it to a good body shop who will use flex primer under the paint…. Merry Christmas to you!
***sorry, re-read your question and you were wondering about the trunk spoiler. That one is the Stingerhaus one on the K8stingerstore. It’s made by a California company called Air Design. You have lots of spoiler options. Try to find a smaller, subtle lip one for the best look (in my opinion)
@@forevr_8 Yes I do miss my sunglass holder, but the trade off is worth it. I researched this car a lot before purchasing and still I find new things to like or new "wow, didn't know it did that moments". My only gripe is that the wireless charger is extremely hot and then overheats the phone (iphone12, apple MagSafe case). Not sure what to think about that yet. Ill take it out of the case guess and see if that helps User error? It seems fairly self explanatory....set it and forget it. So the roof spoiler is matte color and you had it painted black? Thank you for the replies. I really appreciate it. Merry Christmas
@@baybreederbayarea510 Thank you. I was wondering about that. Don't want to mess with a warranty on a brand new car so I won't be doing that - yet....... :)
It's ironic that the K&N intake is called "cold air intake" because it will actually bring hot air from the engine bay into the intake rather than real cold air from the front grill, like the sealed OEM filters do.
Have a 2019 gt2 and really enjoy it. 450 hp would be nice some carbon on the inside. A manual valved exhaust would be nice plus a handling package with lowering springs and thicker sway bars. For the rear maybe a small incorporated spoiler in the deck lid so it doesn’t look like an add on.
Take the scorpion package (hence dif car seats + spoiler) change the spoiler to a lip. Change all dark chrome detailing to Carbon Fiber. RWD 18 on front and 19s on the back w brimbos. Here we go. Kia listen up. Final package has to sound mean and aggressive to match its looks so a exhaust upgrade from the factory is a must especially for a final model. Finally the cherry on top. Drop the twins and add a legit supercharger to the v6 engine. That’s my dream stinger.
Let's talk hoods. I've seen some vids where they replaced the hood with a lighter weight carbon fiber hood, and aesthetically it looks good. But why don't they make the side scoops on the stock hood, or on the carbon fiber hood functional? Think about those after market cold air intakes getting fed real cold air through functioning scoops. Or maybe there's room to route some tubing down to the turbos to help cool them. Overall, I like the look of the scoops, as they interrupt a long and otherwise boring hood, but we've got to make them functional, even if that means moving them forward a bit .
Gotta break that 400hp barrier. 444 or more would be perfect to fully compete with the Audi RS5 Sportback. But I know, I know, need to keep it reasonable to keep the warranty. So, I’d be happy with just over 400, like 405
Thank you for another wonderful video Peter (and William)! William's done an amazing job on the vehicle! That being said, am I the only one that heard the beginning and thought of those cars that drive around late at night waking everyone up? I get that people want to make the car their own, but does it have to involve disturbing others? I'm not saying that William is "one of those guys" but there seems to be a class of cars that seems to me to cross a line in terms of personal choice versus social harmony, and I think any vehicle that has an exhaust louder than needed should be banned in cities. I know that Germany, the UK and Canada have looked at banning them but not sure how that has played out.
If you've heard that exhaust in real life, it's nowhere near as loud as the exhausts that wake you up. That might be a cold start; and this car is loud in a stock exhaust cold-start as well. I have a muffler delete on the car...and it is still quiet at idle and low RPMs. Also depends on your city...I live in a city that is not as congested or closed in as the bigger cities and have had 0 complains so far. We can start going down the list of loud things and impose bans on them, but then we would have to start at the loud mouth politicians that impose the bans themselves.
I absolutely love this cwr modification, it is not too much it is just right. Definitely i would add more carbon fibre to the interior center console of the car , also the air vents on the bonnet could be in carbon fibre from the manufacturer, adding better exhaust in terms of sound would be a cheery on top of the cake :) in overall it looks fabulous 👌
When you are under 35 you do stuff like this to your car. I am 80 and love my Stinger just the way it came off the boat. I am not going to the Autobahn or the race track. I like a car that is quiet and fast. I also bought red carpets to go with my red seats and the car looks great inside.
I expect a 2023 model to arrive, but I'm not sure if that will be a full production run. I haven't heard any news of any Stinger beyond the 2023 model year in Canada. So that's what I expect.
This Stinger is SWEET!!! Need the last ones to be like that but different colors and if you decide to give one away, I want mine to be just like that!!!
For the 2023 stinger of its the Fair well stinger i would add some sort of one off bodykit, lowered ride height, for sure better exhaust, maybe some special wheel tire set up with wider stance
Great looking car, though i'm not sure if it's the wheelbase, the length of the chassis or a combination of both - but she's a long girl! How does it handle around a corner? This car looks like a highway sleeper, long distance cruiser that can do a solid overtake, rather than a track car. What is it trying to be?
Hi William, I am curious to know the amount of horsepower you have gained after upgrading your car from the exhaust to under the hood. Can you please provide an approximate cost for the upgrades? Also, could you recommend the order of installation for these upgrades while ensuring that the dealer approves them and there is no harm to the warranty? Thank you.
I have 2019 stinger 4 cylinder turbo. Bought used with 20k miles, love the car but I have noticed that at 40mph-50mph there's a humming reverberation in the cabin that almost makes it sound like a bass'y whoop whoop whoop, goes away after 50mph and doesnt happen until 40ish mph. Not sure why, any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

The wheels are Fast Wheels K025. I have the same wheels but 19inch. Love the front lip, not a big fan of the rest of the appearance mods, the car looks a little tacky.
I’m in America and have never heard of a factory option lowering kit. I wouldn’t Mis inform people on that one. Those springs he has are aftermarket I’ve seen them on the k8 stinger stores website. Those aren’t oem.
If I said "factory" then I misspoke. What I meant to say is there is an option for this suspension package from Kia Canada dealers through their parts department, and it's factory approved.
Yes the Stinger is a cool car and I like it’s looks and the specs on the performance look good on paper and when it came time to buy a car I went with a Honda Civic Type R with red exterior paint but I’m not a fan of the big spoiler so it’s got to go and I’m going to install the black spoiler that’s on the Civic SI , I just think it looks cleaner and more grown up rather then looking like a 19 year old is driving my car , I also am going to tint my windows so they are darker and that’s about all I have planed. Everyone is telling me to tune it but if I do I’m doing it after the warranty is up and I’m going to do some research to see what the draw back could be . Anyway the stinger fell off my list of cars that I might purchase because , well it’s a KIA and is part of Hyundai and they are known for having issues with there engines and I realize not the engine in this car but I just wasn’t comfortable with it and at the end of the day your driving a KIA ! Not one of those brands that everyone turns their head and says wow when they hear that’s what you drive . I’m not a car snob but the truth is if I had dropped $50,000 on a KIA and I had the opportunity to buy the Type R and my friends knew that , well I’d never hear the end of it.
I love this car and I hope they do not discontinue it! I do think the sound is the biggest issue! I own a 2019 with some mods and it is the best car I have ever owned! What is the best way to upgrade the exhaust?
Just my opinion 🥲 Love it overall but me nitpicking....I think the front has a little too much going on. I prefer more subtle. But man such a sexy car. I lold at the teddy bear in the background tho

@@bsilva5806 the K5 has a smaller engine. The Stinger I got is a 3.3 twin turbo.
Just gorgeous William nice work
For 2023 i'd say carbon fiber interior pieces in place of the aluminum. Carbon fiber mirror cap. Diamond stitching like they offer in Korea. More concaved wheels. Make the fake hood vents functional bc this engine does let off a lot of heat. Make those CF as well lol. And to your point more consistent font for the badges lol and yea 400 hp boost. And offer a upgrade kit so 2018-22 models can have 400hp as well lol
Haha! I like the way you think!
I wish he said where he got all his exterior piece’s from
Looks lovely well done, thinking of getting one myself here in the uk, probably trade my Mercedes E350d 4 matic prem plus, hope i dont regret it.
Love the Stinger. Need to add JB4 tuner. It won't void warranty. I would also add intercooler and downpipes. Beautiful car. Love the red..
I can't speak to voiding warranty, or not, so I'll just caution people to connect with their dealers when making mods.
@@BrantfordKia from what ive seen and when i talked to my local kia... They said it WILL void your warranty if they see the tune on there.... that being said, set shit back to stock and not have the jb4 on equipped and you should be fine.. avoid just out right screaming you are janking with anything ECU
Nice stinger, you don't need to mod them too much.. mine is black with black lip boot spoiler, tints and new rims, also changed the badges, I feel that's enough. It a beautiful machine.. 💥
Need a exhaust Fs to let people know what they messing with lolll

You only need to change the spark plugs if you're doing jb4 tune etc
Hi Mike, thank you so much, and congrats on your new Stinger! Yours Has a nicer interior and bigger screen, but no sunglasses holder anymore sadly. :( Answers below:
1) I did not replace the spark plugs; no need to for the intake/exhaust as these are fairly simple bolt on upgrades, and like many of us, I’m just an average middle-class income guy who likes reliable and affordable cars with more personality!
If you hade a scorpion you would like the wing and the carbon fiber inside
So, I’d be happy with just over 400, like 405
Please have them make similar model for final rendition of Stinger
Pretty reliable and with very little maintenance costs . Question did he get it second hand and with how many miles on it ?
Love the mods done to this
I love my 22 scorpion Kia stinger spoiler
Great Job........
MY DAD HAS THE SAME MODEL OF THIS AND WE MIGHT DO SOME MODS TO IT
I absolutely love this cwr modification, it is not too much it is just right. Definitely i would add more carbon fibre to the interior center console of the car , also the air vents on the bonnet could be in carbon fibre from the manufacturer, adding better exhaust in terms of sound would be a cheery on top of the cake :) in overall it looks fabulous 👌
Thanks for watching!
I have the same Stinger Haus kit on my 2022. I wanted the Devils Claws but I wanted them in a gloss black.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Pretty KOOL car, ....if you're 19 years old!!!!
I wish I could afford a car like this at 19
When you are under 35 you do stuff like this to your car. I am 80 and love my Stinger just the way it came off the boat. I am not going to the Autobahn or the race track. I like a car that is quiet and fast. I also bought red carpets to go with my red seats and the car looks great inside.
It's a car culture thing. If it's not for you that's fine but there's plenty of people older than 35 that like this sort of stuff. Myself included.
@@homewrecker44 When I was 29 I bought a used Ferrari. I've been there and done that.
You're THE Kia guy!! Will the Stinger continue into 2023?? It seems as though it's demise has been talked about often, but it hasn't happened.
If someone's giving away a Stinger, I'm going to be in line ahead of you! Haha! No offense!!
@@BrantfordKia I don't blame you and it's all GOOD!!!
Toss a JB4 in it. Did the Pro Kit Springs not interfere with the Electronic Suspension? Did they install warning cancellers?
I love the spoiler. What is it called?
Beautiful, practical, and potential. Very nice car.
Excellent info,l like your rear spoiler, which one it is?
Roof spoiler kinda ricified the car a bit when paired with lip spoiler. Some cars don’t need concentrated mods
Fun and still practical.....very unique machine.....I have a 2019 GT2 AWD with 50k and will NOT ever rid myself of this machine......well done , enjoy and good video

@@BrantfordKia wow well that’s awesome you guys offer that! My dealer doesn’t have that option. But they did approve my k&n intakes!

What color are the rims? matte blue?
Those wheels look like my stingers spare tire. Here in the US
can you do that same diffuser and exhaust for the 2023 model?
How about links for parts?
Beautiful car. Get bigger turbo. Nice sound.
Bro let the man talk stop interrupting 😂
I love this car and I hope they do not discontinue it! I do think the sound is the biggest issue! I own a 2019 with some mods and it is the best car I have ever owned! What is the best way to upgrade the exhaust?

The led devil claws do NOT last.
The lights burn out very easily from road bumps.
