I made some using eastern cedar. I made frames from the cedar but my son wanted composite for seat and back to match the decking.

@@HomeRenoVisionDIY Good. I have a wheel chair ramp I need to stain, and my Mom wants me to stain her deck. I have a sprayer I have been debating about using it or a roller.
I loved using a sprayer. just pick up a pump style sprayer and all is well. Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY I was thinking about my wagner, but I have a pump sprayer, that I use for spraying both bleach, and herbicide, so I will use it. That should make the job go very fast.

Nice safety squint. Sometimes, like doing work like this, I'm actually glad I wear prescription glasses. I have a set of prescription safety glasses and no excuse not to use them. Sawdust in the eyes is no fun. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed the video.
Oh, one point to make for anyone working with cedar: make sure all of your fasteners and nails are STAINLESS, not galvanized or otherwise coated. Cedar has an oil that when combined with water reacts to non-stainless fasteners that leaves black, permanent stains in the wood that bleed down from each fastener hole.
Subscriber but not a member to ask you a few questions in your live chat. So maybe you can give me a few advice me here. I asked contractor to renovate bathroom and kitchen for 7k a week ago and he agreed to do the job. Along the way, i asked kitchen to reverse the layout so the gas pipe has to go oppose side of the kitchen area. Also i asked him to install wood panel front of dishwasher and fridge. and he is asking extra 800$ for this. So should i give the amount of money he asked for or i shouldn't ?

I think those black fixtures dictate boards on top of them, and then some 2x4s running at a slight angle vertically, with more boards attached to those 2x4's horizontally to form a backrest. But I wonder what the deal is with widening that bench - shouldn't black things be wide enough? Is this to be able to sleep on it?

I've learned a lot from your content, and love watching it. However, in my opinion I feel like your editor needs to tone it down a bit. They cut all the space when you aren't talking which sort of makes it a jumpy mess, and they also cut out a lot of things you're doing with your hands. I'm a professional video editor and need to say that the editor really should let your videos breath, and dead space is okay (the older videos on your channel were completely fine). I guarantee you that most people who watch videos like this aren't looking for short-attention span content and really want to watch and see how you do things. No hard feelings though! Just my input.
know the end from the beginning, but dont plan to add extra blocking in to screw the bench brackets to aside from a 1" deck board
The only complaint I have is that where I live in VA, if its closed in on the front like that, there will be an enormous wasps' nest under the seat within a week.

Not gonna lie here Jeff, if one of my neighbours built a deck this high, so that they were looking into my garden every time they used it, we would be having a VERY serious discussion!
