Great job!!! loved the music please tell me the name and the artist
Looks great
Love this. Am I the only one that thought he said something else when he said bench?
I thought that to lool😅
Came to the comments just to be sure I wasn't the only one...lol
Nope 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I thought wait what b**ches??😂
Will legs support just as is if I make this 10ft long
Without a doubt, yes. It's extremely sturdy. The only thing I'd maybe do with a 10ft span is add a small 1x4 piece of wood in the middle of the span (5' in). Do this between each 2x4. Probably not even necessary.
What screws did you use?
Good idea, but poor execution. Wood glue will hold for just a little while and not well at all on stained or painted wood. If you want to pre-finish stain it but leave raw wood exposed where glue will be applied.
no
Wood filler
Do you say "bench" or "bitch"?
I built the same bench with 1x3. I used an orbital sander to sand the legs flat. Think I’m gonna try with 2x4. Great vid.
I'm looking forward to doing this in my yard.
I was looking for this bench, so I'm glad I found your video. I will be making this one for sure. Thanks for sharing. 😂
Thanks. They are beautiful. Wonder if I could do that ?
Thanks for showing me how to make this bench. I had a blast making it.
THIS WILL BE MY FIRST PROJECT WHEN I GET HOME. I HAVE ALL THE MATERIALS... THANK YOU FOR THE MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!
How'd it go?
Realistically what would someone pay for one of these benches?
Interesting. I work at a park and I think I am going to make an outdoor version of this with the difference being there will be 4 longer pieces on each of the legs corners so I can put them into the ground and add some concrete to anchor them. Thanks for the idea!
Such a simple project produces something so nice. Beautiful stain. Thank you for sharing this video.
Nothing says ready to build stuff like wearing flip flops.
Doing this for an Eagle Project!!
Someday that Boy is gonna just go pee on a tree and say that's how i was raised Officer. lol
I copied this for a little 27” x 16” bench and it game out great. Thank you for not editing out the part where you had to fix the evenness of the bottom. I made sure to move the too short pieces so they were flush with the floor rather than the top, since I don’t have a planer like that. I still need to try polyurethane and hopefully it will look half as nice as your bench. thank you for the inspiration cheers
Great looks like something i can do thanks for the video❤
Brilliant, I loved this one, you made it look easy.
Awesome little project. I will be attempting this myself.
didn’t see all the exact measurements
I thought it was just me
In the description 😊
In flip flops is wild
Appreciate the closeup of fixing the warped board. I’m still new to diy woodworking so this wasn’t something I had thought about before.
I Love it... you do amazing work and explained each step very well. Thank You for sharing your wisdom and talent with the world... btw your son is adorable.
I like these benches! They look great!
Pretty awesome and thanks so much for sharing 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I built one. The issue I had was the 2” Brad nails shot out the side?? Even if I went at an inside angle? I’ll be using it in the fire pit.
I’m building a new one. But no nails, just using glue and screws.
много воды!
Good job and project thx for sharing
Looks nice but just seems like a lot of lumber for a bench
That's a really nice sturdy looking bench. I've built similar benches and seats in the past. The problem I find when using dimensional lumber is the poor quality of the wood. I was spending at least a half hour or more just sorting through the crappy lumber to find 10 to 12 decent boards. And sometimes there wasn't enough decent boards in an entire stack of the so-called "premium" lumber. I got so fed up with having to cull so much lumber I ended up going back to building storage sheds. But hey, I'm glad it worked out for you.
What type of wood should I use? This is my first project.
Can we get demsnions please 😅
yes, sorry! They're updated in my video description now:

I love this. Im going to give this a go. Thanku
Great project, just a quick question/notice.
You got 7 2x4s, thats 14", plus 6 1x4s, thats another 6" in width, isnt your bench W 20" rahter than 15"?
A long time ago your calculation would have been correct. But for the last 50+ years, a 2x4 is NOT 2" x 4". It is 1.5" x 3.5" Similarly a 1x4 is NOT 1" x 4". It is 0.75" x 3.5". So your math was right, but you calculation was incorrect because the dimensions of the lumber are not what you assumed they were.
So for total width, the actual dimension is: (7 x 1.5") + (6 x 0.75") = 10.5" + 4.5" = 15"
Never worked on a wood project, but this might be my first one! Thanks for the video
Can you make a table
I want to make this bench for outdoor patio. It will get rained on, so I want to make sure it’s waterproof. Should I use treated wood, or is there some sort of waterproofing I can do with this?
I am also looking to make this outdoor
Nice jobs 👍😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this, so simple
All I get is a totally black screen
The kids make the video so much more special thanks for the tips
Can I use 80 inch instead of 70 inch
Great content Sean! Thanks for sharing. Just watched you on BiggerPockets Rookie Podcast.
I appreciate it! Thank you for checking it out.
excellent video
love it
beautiful
Love the bench. I did not find the measurements.
These were missing initially but were added sometime later. Expand the summary info below the video by clicking on the "more" button. Here's a copy of that specific info:

Looks awesome ! Not too difficult to build either
Is this really indestructible using brad nails? I’d have probably used screws.
The main thing holding everything together is glue. The brads just keep it all together until the glue dries
@@brandonh6326didn’t he say he didn’t want any squeeze out so don’t use very much?
@@sportiekc2944 Yes for certain joints, but there's plenty of wood glue, plus brads, plus screws. The screws were long enough to go through 3 boards. While it's not really indestructible, pretty sure most whole families could stand on top of it simultaneously without damaging the structure.
I like 👍🏻
Nice work
They look really great!
Nice and simple is what a Dig most. Thanks My Guy.
