- Looking to build some banquette style seating? Here's how we gave our dining room a complete makeover with this EASY DIY dinning area banquette nook! We share all of our mistakes along the way with tips we've picked up! I also share how we upholstered the bench cushions the no sew method and gave it some modern tufting. Question: how do you keep the backs from falling down?
I have seen the foam cut out about 1/2 wide all the way through to allow the button to go deeper and get more tufting.

1 thigk that I am not able to understand is how did you fit the uholstered seats on the wooden sofa base?
Did you do anything to side the bottom ply? velcro? What was your solution? Or is it just placed on top, like floating.

I made them and they didn't last lol they broke so I never got around to posting them. Guess i should of shared the update on that diy. I couldn't find a spring strong enough for that. I just got some on amazon that were a lot cheaper then every store I found and we actually love them. amzn.to/31PvHG4 I got the hattaras camel color. There's two in that color we got the style that comes first in line. I was thinking to maybe white wash these once I get sick of the color so the wood still pops through but, is toned down.

Do your seat cushions stay in place when people get up?
Dude, pocket holes should be on the side of support. To make my point, make two 2x4 ladders. Make one with pocket holes on top and one with pocket holes on bottom. Now climb up each and tell me the result. The pocket holes should be on the bottom because that is the end of support.

Good luck getting underneath there and trying to fasten all the kreg screws in with limited clearance for the drill. Just sayin

Hi girl!! Welcome to our channel! so happy you found us and happy to hear you loved the video. Not silly at all. I would build the benches into long box frames. Then simply lay them against the wall. Not sure if that makes sense.
how high and deep are your benches please?
The cushions are just placed not sticked to the wall or sofa right. And what about the plywood. You painted it white right or did you apply a white fabric to it?

Paint is difficult on a Table top. Made my experiences.
