@Martin Cristian you are welcome xD
Whoah!!! I was like, “I think I can do this?” Then came the button machine 😬...then came those pleats!!😳... you are a master of your craft. Great video.
Haha thank you Lucas!! You can send buttons off to be made for you if you wanted to give the pleats a go yourself...you might surprise yourself 😉
The tufted back is so beautiful. Well done. This is like the best video on the internet for me right now. I'm waiting on fabric samples before I can get started on my project. Also, the tool list...homie, you're a rockstar.

Hey which website do you get high density foam?
@@abbasalkaabi6525 I get all my foam from GB foam 👍🏻
No doubt u r excellent carpenter better if u write on the screen or in description box what measurements, material, plywood name.
I am Pakistani its difficult for me to understand your accent n machines u r using.
Hope u will accept my request.
Thanks 4 your cooperation.
Best rewards
I didn't do the carpentry on this one unfortunately. Just the upholstery, hope you found this helpful. 🙏😊🧵✂️⛏️📐
These look amazing mate can I as what mite be a silly question. How have you stuck the back to the wall ?? Thanks for your time
Hi Mark - sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks a lot mate 😊🙏🏻 no, on this one there was a frame built that the backs fitted on to but you can attach the backs to the wall if you fit a sheet of MDF on to the wall and attach it to that 👍🏻
Is that astroturf on your lawn? Great video! Always educational and enjoyable.
Hi Sandy - yes it’s Astroturf or artificial grass 🤣 stays green all year round and no cutting required! lol Thank you so much, always a pleasure to hear from you Sandy.
Hi, on the 9x6 diamond what size would you mark the fabric if I’m using 4” high density foam?
Is there a ratio just in case I decide on a smaller diamond?
Very helpful video by the way
Hi Steve - I would put your foam on and drill out your holes and then measure to the bottom of each hole to see how much extra allowance you’d need to give on your fabric. 4” foam is going to be really deep...I usually use 2” but it’s up to you! It also depends on how much your fabric stretches as to the allowance you give too - so the more it stretches the more allowance you give. So on 2” foam with vinyl I would give approx an inch top to bottom and an inch side to side allowance on each diamond...just as a guide. I hope this helps! And thanks for watching!!
Superb video
Thanks so much 😊🙏🏻
Fantastic! WOW. What kind of foam did you use?
Thanks, we used 2" firm Blue foam for the seats, 0.5" blue foam on top of the seats. And the backs we used a 2" medium white foam for the buttons. Many thanks 👍🙏✂️🧵📐⛏️📎
When cutting the holes in the foam, what ratio hole do you use in relation to the size of the button? I have 20mm (size 32) buttons and can't work out what size to cut in the foam!
Thank you. Great video's :)
Hey Lucy! Great question! I usually use 19mm buttons and I cut my holes with a 32mm drill bit. There’s no exact science to it but I just prefer the finished look with those sizes 😊 just make sure you cut the holes larger than the buttons (just not too much larger) and you’ll be fine 👍🏻
@@faceliftinteriors that's great, thank you very much!
No worries 😊
I’m wondering where can I find s video for the actual chair
Brilliant
Thanks Rick!
Hiya there! Curious what your foam cutter setup is? Looks like a Bosch- did you replace the blade with a longer one? Thanks! Love your vids :)
Also curious how you attached the backrests to the wall/booth? Velcro as well?
Hi there Sara! Apologies for the delayed reply. You’re right, it is a Bosch foam cutter and I have attached a longer blade - I believe this one is 30cm 👍🏻 We attached the backs to the wall with a pin gun this time around. Thanks for watching!! Really appreciated 😊👍🏻
Hey I just bought these “Crystal head push pins” they’re like large Tacks with crystal/diamond-like rhinestone tops. I’m realizing I might have take a different approach to the diamond tufting part wouldn’t I?
Do you think that by buying these “crystal head upholstery tack/pin” things that I limited myself to how thick or padding I can use? Because I’d think they’d need to make it into a hard surface in order to be secured; like a nail or a tack would..... Sooo.. yeahhhh. Basically am I correct in assuming I’ll have to approach a project like this in a slightly different way?
Anybody? Hello? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi! If you drill holes in the foam, it will definitely help the button/pins to attach to the wooden frame. It also depends how long the pins are! Send me a message on Instagram with pictures of the pins you have and I’ll try to advise the best I can!
how was the bench built
Sweet
Thank you 😊👍🏻
Im looking to make some bench seating for my restaurant. Ive been quoted $300 for a 16"x48". I need 40... Can't afford $12,000 so I'll do it myself I guess. What type of Vinyl and how thick would your recommend?
Hi Jim! Upholstery grade vinyl is what you’d want. Check the fire regulations for your country too as it needs to meet stricter regulations for commercial use in the UK and has to be FR treated with crib 5 here 👍🏻
Great video, that mic is harsh though!
Hi, what kind of fabric would you recommend? Thank you!
Hi there! I used a vinyl for this one. If it’s in an area that’s going to possibly get spillage I’d go for a leather, vinyl or an aqua-clean fabric. But it can be done in any fabric really 👍🏻
Hi what size is the MDF cut too for backs & seats. TIA
Hi there! It depends on how deep and high you want the seats. I would cut your seats and then upholster your seats first and then measure your backs. I can’t remember the exact measurements of the MDF on these, sorry mate!
Whats that bread cutter looking machine called that you use for cutting the foam?
Hi Samira! It’s a Bosch Foam cutter...there’s a link to it in the description of the video 😊 hope that helps!
@@faceliftinteriors thank you. I am watching your videos back to back. Keep up the good work
@@samiraandmoe6699 Oh wow! That's so nice to hear - thank you so much!!
I'm confused. You put velcro on the back of the cushion but when you moved it from the bench there was nothing holding it on.
The velcro is attached the wood lid of the box so as the seat is removed it takes the lid off the box too. Hope this clears things up? ⛏️📎✂️📐🧵
@@faceliftinteriors yes. That makes sense. Thanks
Oi mate you got yer staple gun loicense?
🤣
How thick was this foam mate, hope your ok and still busy mate 👍
Hiya mate! The backs were 2 inch white and the seats were 2 inch blue with half inch blue over the top. I’m good thanks mate - hope you’re doing well!
How much do you charge for those two pieces?
How many hours does this whole process take?
Hi! This one took just over two days 👍🏻
I’m a upholster what do you charge for a job like this
any link for all the materials,ty
Hi Janey! Have a look through the links in the description for tools etc. Foam I would get from Livedale if you’re from the UK and fabric - there are loads of different fabric companies you can buy from for upholstery. What are you looking for?
Hi ,are you taking orders?
Hi Zara! Yes we are! Send me an email at neilbanyard@faceliftinteriors.co.uk
