If the channel is 8 inches finish and you are using 1inch foam, you added 5 inches per channel, 1/4 for staples which you sew ,plus 1/2 regular sewing, plus 3/4 for the foam height times 2 ,I'm right. let me know, beautiful work you have done, from a fellow upholsteter

Question for you? Did she use VELCRO to attach the back to the wall?
@@DaxBrandt He likely used a cleat made from plywood that is attached to the back of the bench back and to the wall.
