This was a tremendous story arc for Loki. What a great send off for Tom Hiddleston. I expect we will see him cameo in future Marvel movies but this was an amazing season/series finale.
I hope we see him again. I'd like to see him get some closure with Thor. But even if we never see him again, there really is no bigger way to go out than this.
For me this ending was perfect, and also so bittersweet. Loki always wanted a throne and to fulfill his glorious purpose, but here it was more burden than glory, as Mobius said. And Loki said time and time again he no longer wanted a throne, that he wanted his friends and that he didn't want to be alone. So ultimately doing what he did was definitely glorious, but it is undeniably a burden and a great sacrifice from his part. This Loki became the greatest MCU character for me, there's something that's very much larger-than-life about him and I loved seeing his story play out.
I never agree with Pat, but I have to give him credit. He said it was a good ending, but it wasn't what he wanted. So many people (the loudest seem to be on RUclips) will rip a show to shreds & make it their life's work to tell everyone how bad it is just because it didn't end the way they wanted or expected it to.
This had to be *greatest* Marvel Disney + show conclusions It was cool they mentioned Quantumania Kang, but I’m still salty that they call the mainstream universe 616 rather than 199999
It was never that 199999. That was a joke about how long feige wanted the MCU to last. It's 616 cuz that's the designated label for the main continuity in marvel. So there's a 616 for comics and one for the movies
@@shadowx8145yea but it would make more sense for the MCU to be a different universe than 616 since 616 is known as the main comic universe. Since the MCU isn’t telling 616 stories, it shouldn’t be called 616.
Can't believe they didn't have Mobius and Loki riding those two jet ski's together! I really thought that's what episode 5 was building up to with Mobius showing Loki the jet ski's and saying he couldn't ride BOTH. Speaking of Mobius, I can't believe Owen Wilson didn't say "wow" ONCE during this entire show!
The perfect ending, for a character with a big heart and a hero now for the multiverse itself. Thor, his father and his mother. I couldn't be more proud of Loki. And everything for everyone... to save the multiverse. 👏👏💚💚💚
Mobius and the TVA will still be around. They’re a big part of Deadpool 3 as they will be recruiting soldiers to fight the Kang Variants. They will most likely be the “Nick Fury” of the MCU, setting up the big showdown of the Kang Dynasty.
25:00 Correct, he can, you can hear Möbius’s words echoing to him just before you see him in this same scene, he’s connected to each branch and there can witness them all whilst acting as a ‘battery’ of sorts for the timelines (tree of Yydrasil) so long as he keeps holding onto them, so basically he can’t leave Does get the best possible version of ‘inter-dimensional’ cable ever though 🤷🏾♂️ so I doubt he’ll be bored, I’d defo be getting some snacks etc somehow if that was me though
I'm obsessed with the fact that Loki's story started with basically him trying to “free” the world from freedom, and now he is responsible for /all worlds being free/. Aso the paralles to Thor 1 are just * chef's kiss *
After watching it and witnessing everyone lose their minds over how fantastic it was, I'm very curious to see if they enjoyed it as much as everyone else
Great finale Tom Hiddleston's Loki has arguably the BEST character arc of any MCU villain or hero in the entire 2 decades of Feige's MCU! With the end of Loki Season 2, I'm for sure betting we'll see more of Hiddles as Loki in the multiverse saga! I like that this version Loki essentially had to actually come to terms with his "purpose" without the burden of the same guilt from Dark World or Ragnorok, and also the death in IFW. well done all around
this one episode covers centuries in plot timeline. And it was so well done! Loki is the best comic book show hands down! Like every shot and frame of this series is like a comic book panel come to life.
I will not lie. I respect he who remains alot. No matter how i look at it, he made a sacrifice to keep time from ending completly. His thought process may not seem right but it was reasonable. He was just a human but he was able to claim a seat at the end of time. Loki has also become my best mcu character. This is the best mcu series ive seen.
"Most purpose is more BURDEN than GLORY" - this gave Loki an epiphany of understanding of what he wanted most - to save to his friends more than anything else - so he replaced HWR with himself and that was his Glorious Purpose in his eyes to sacrifice his existence to replace Kang's nightmare with hope. - Without a doubt in my mind this is the best Marvel storyline imho, and the meta that Loki is literally holding the MCU together is hopefully not lost on anyone else.
Great reaction guys! You all were on the edge, it's a great finale. Dude was like, he's a god, he can hold the infinite, not a machine which cannot hold the infinite.
The Pyramid you see at the end of the episode when Renslayer is shown in the void is believed to be that of Rama Tut, A Kang Variant. Renslayer IIRC played a huge part in the Multiversal War so i would not be surprised if this isn't the last we've seen of her based on that scene at the end.
@@Nydrin Yeah well another theory I've heard that makes a ton of sense is that at the end of quantumania, when were shown the Council of Kangs meeting. That meeting is actually taking place in the pyramid that's in the Void, same one Renslayer was looking at.
Either there needs to be a season three or Reynslayers story needs to be resolved in a future movie. We can’t have her be so important to Kang and not get they how and why.
Loki is at the end of time so technically he wont age, just like mobius who was there for centuries* - kinda cool seeing loki walk towards his glorious purpose of taming the time lines to save everyone vs years before the same walk and shot fashion towards the throne was to the throne of asgard
People still giving Sylvie shit even though this episode was screaming in our face that Sylvie was RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME. Loki saying it's ok to destroy something if you can replace it with something better is straight up a quote of what Sylvie said earlier in the season, and it was also the answer to the problem and what Loki does in the end.
It was so fitting that Loki's attempt to become the loom would represent a tree but in particular the tree Yggdrasil which would hold all the branches together. With Loki's sacrifice in this finale it would appear he finally learned the lesson Thor tried to explain to him about what it means to rule as a king, and I'm certain his brother as well as Odin & Frigga would be so proud of the Asgardian he's become.
THIS WAS AMAZINGGGGGGG! So Loki made Yggdrasil? Omg I feel bad for this version's Loki...But because of this single version's suffering...the rest of the versions are happy and free He really is a god...through and through..He did something that was more selfless than the most selfless act ever on the history of the multiverse.
Not sure if they missed it or not but: "I got those reports on the Variants of He Who Remains. I guess one of 'em caused a bit of a ruckus on 616 adjacent realm" That's a reference to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Also this gives Disney a DEF way to recast JM. Now that the TVA is hunting Kang variants, namely looking like Timely, what's to stop Kang from finding a way to "alter" his appearance to someone different than Timely?
HWR knew about this outcome the whole time he just didn't want Loki to take this route. HWR knew this way that Loki took is harder on him and his variants but HWR has seen a future were this path was taken
33:40 If loki is out of the realm of time, I believe he would not age anymore. An example is "he who remains" he has been there for many many years and has not aged at all. I believe Kang was just a normal human that figured out how to travel outside of time then created the loom and tva to keep himself in theory the only one that ever was allowed to exist as a kang varient.

This was a tremendous story arc for Loki. What a great send off for Tom Hiddleston. I expect we will see him cameo in future Marvel movies but this was an amazing season/series finale.
I hope we see him again. I'd like to see him get some closure with Thor. But even if we never see him again, there really is no bigger way to go out than this.
lmao it's hilarious watching the Normies consistently be wrong so many times. It was like rapid fire in this episode
21:34 THAT BLEW MY MIND. THEY’VE BEEN PLANTING (pun intended) SINCE THE BEGINNING
Rana should’ve called herself “Rana Renslayer”, would’ve been a cool nickname for this show
Why does Pat always gotta choose violence? LOL
Agree 👍
This had to be *greatest* Marvel Disney + show conclusions
It was cool they mentioned Quantumania Kang, but I’m still salty that they call the mainstream universe 616 rather than 199999
It was never that 199999.
This didn't suffer the Disney doesn't know how to do a finale curse.
Ironically the first episode of season one was also called glorious purpose
It was intentional.
25:00 Correct, he can, you can hear Möbius’s words echoing to him just before you see him in this same scene, he’s connected to each branch and there can witness them all whilst acting as a ‘battery’ of sorts for the timelines (tree of Yydrasil) so long as he keeps holding onto them, so basically he can’t leave
Does get the best possible version of ‘inter-dimensional’ cable ever though 🤷🏾♂️ so I doubt he’ll be bored, I’d defo be getting some snacks etc somehow if that was me though
Loki went from the hated character that killed Colson to the hero of all time. No one saw this coming. Excellent writing.
“Your not the one to make the sacrifice play, let the guy climb over you”😢 Joins the Legends
Good one. First Tony, and now Loki.
He won't get old just like the human he who remains never got old in the outside of time.
As perfect an ending it was, like Pat said, I just want Loki back :( HE IS ALL ALONEEEEE!!
Aaa 😢
I was literally sad all day Friday lol
The shot of the pyramid in the void gave me chills. Iykyk
One of the best, most epic and satisfying endings to a TV show ever.
Loki can create and control multiple copies of himself you know he’s having fun in the multiverse whilst still setting there
I was waiting for this!🤩
I'm obsessed with the fact that Loki's story started with basically him trying to “free” the world from freedom, and now he is responsible for /all worlds being free/.
Oh My God. “Welcome he who remains” when loki time slipped!!!
The title is the SAME as the very first episode of season 1! It's a loop!🤯
this one episode covers centuries in plot timeline. And it was so well done! Loki is the best comic book show hands down! Like every shot and frame of this series is like a comic book panel come to life.
"both of you born were to be king, but only one of you will ascend the throne"
- Odin
Loki tv series is basically loki's redemption arc in marvel universe.
The fact that Rana didn’t introduce herself as “Ranaslayer” disappoints me.
Damn I'm upset nobody caught on the antman 3 connection at the end there
I thought the ending was gonna suck by how wacky it started but good god im glad im wrong that was so unexpected and great
Great reaction guys! You all were on the edge, it's a great finale. Dude was like, he's a god, he can hold the infinite, not a machine which cannot hold the infinite.
Loki : " Sylvie I've come to bargain. "
I feel like Alioth will recognize her
@@Nydrin
Yeah well another theory I've heard that makes a ton of sense is that at the end of quantumania, when were shown the Council of Kangs meeting. That meeting is actually taking place in the pyramid that's in the Void, same one Renslayer was looking at.
@@zalbert19 that would have to be one big pyramid.
Either there needs to be a season three or Reynslayers story needs to be resolved in a future movie. We can’t have her be so important to Kang and not get they how and why.
We is good on her 😭
She'll be back in Kang Dynasty, if not before. The Head Writer all but confirmed that they left her open-ended (read: not dead) on purpose.
This episode made me cry. Loki want from a selfish god to a god that sacrificed what he wanted for the ones he cared about.
Not really. She wanted to destroy him not the loom.
It seems like some forget that Loki can astral project. He can go anywhere without leaving the throne.
We don't really know what their rules for Loki will be though, they could change that. Who knows
Rana saying she don't go to theaters, she waits for the normies ❤ she a real one
That Thor impression from Suraj was... impressive 😂
THIS WAS AMAZINGGGGGGG! So Loki made Yggdrasil?
Omg I feel bad for this version's Loki...But because of this single version's suffering...the rest of the versions are happy and free
He really is a god...through and through..He did something that was more selfless than the most selfless act ever on the history of the multiverse.
"What if" season 2 just got a new narrator 😂😂
Not sure if they missed it or not but:
"I got those reports on the Variants of He Who Remains. I guess one of 'em caused a bit of a ruckus on 616 adjacent realm"
That's a reference to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Also this gives Disney a DEF way to recast JM. Now that the TVA is hunting Kang variants, namely looking like Timely, what's to stop Kang from finding a way to "alter" his appearance to someone different than Timely?
The TVA uses temporal aura to track people, not appearance, otherwise there wouldn't be a million and one Loki variants tossed down the garbage chute.
Loki will put together the avengers together to fight Kang and his variants
Okay, Loki is hands down the strongest fictional character ever.
Goes from wanting a throne to it being the last thing he cares about. Absolute legendary send off.
HWR knew about this outcome the whole time he just didn't want Loki to take this route. HWR knew this way that Loki took is harder on him and his variants but HWR has seen a future were this path was taken
"most purpose comes with more burden than glory".
