#Loki #Marvel #DisneyPlus - Развлечения
I like how this episode actually kinda deconstructs the role of the villain in stories - to be the stepping stone that allows the protagonists to become better versions of themselves. Loki thought he was the protagonist of the story, and found out he was the villain of the week.
He deserves so much better :(
@@lizz5186 That's why he's being recruited; now he CAN be the protagonist of a story.
^Maybe not the one he thought (or wanted), but in the end, that's still true. And I'm all for it!
He is not just a stepping stone to the heroes, but to villain as well. Particularly Thanos. Ouch
Loki is nothing. It's the worst thing a narcissist can learn.
Loki is actually living through the "Finding out you're not the main protagonist" meme
Loki's last words were "You will never be a god." He was speaking to Thanos, but when Loki saw it, he was now speaking to himself.
I never really thought anything of that line, but it has a whole new meaning now and cuts deeper.
Wow. Thats nice catch.
Nice Perspective 👍
so you watched new rockstars breakdown then lol
@@bichlasagne3779 well the fact that he says it to Thanos not long before he becomes the closest thing to a god you could be and casually crushes his neck like a potato chip, it’s the ultimate death of his ego, no blaze of glory, just a sadistic execution to punish his failures. Similar effect in this episode, but the addition of the TVA into the picture just erases it, he realizes what an insignificant speck he would have been back in his own timeline and how powerless he is in the TVA compounds on that, forcing him to realize his own projection, that he’s a weak little man desperately trying to control his world.

Him seeing his family actually loves him was so sad
But it allows him to become "present day Loki" in a sense which is dope.
Emotional.
The thing is that he was always "seeing" his family time and time again showing him affection and giving him another chance but only in this moment when he got his own skewed self-important scale recalibrated, he is able to really see it and actually believe it.
Especially when he saw his mother's death, because him denying her death to me signifies that he had the most connection to her, above everyone else.
Yeah, seeing years of your own character development in the span of minutes? hours? From a third person view is really crazy for his character
Rana is one of the only reactors I've seen call out the devil picture being about LOKI'S HORNS, not some ill-placed and random reference to Mephisto.
One of the directors of the show commented about how people were jumping on the Mephisto train after seeing that picture but that the emphasis was on the horns. Then she made some mysterious “Mephisto possibly in the MCU in the future? You never know” comment😂. But I think it’s safe to say Mephisto isn’t in Loki, the Dr. Strange movie makes more sense? www.inverse.com/entertainment/loki-marvel-disney-plus-mephisto-fan-theories-director-answers
SesskaSays did too!
Maybe Dark Loki (the one they are hunting) is masquerading as Mephisto?
It was a wierd relation tbh Mephistopheles would’ve mad sense
Not everyone thinks the same way you do.

That’s a great detail

I really like Loki line: "Even an Infinity Stone is Useless here."

The purpose of the Sacred Timeline is that there is no other multiverse timelines. When they branch off, they are "nipped in the bud" or pruned as they say. Dr. Strange looked at 14 million possible timelines, then made sure they choose the one that would become part of the Sacred Timeline.
That makes a ton of sense! Essentially, he saw that if they won any other way they'd be destroyed by the TVA.
That's kinda convinient
I’ll just point out that the Pruning thing bomb? Its energy as it activates is purple… and we have seen purple magic a few places.
…and the show runner for this show is the writer of Multiverse of Madness.
Sorry but this is pure speculation and was never mentioned. How the hell would dr strange even know how to choose which timeline is the scared one? U are just making shit up now..
@@xaldinfash8252 he would know because all non-Sacred time lines would end up with the TVA destroying the avengers and their non-sacred time lines. the only timeline that wouldn't be destroyed by the TVA is the correct sacred one.
When Loki said "Is this the greatest power?", in my head, that's gonna be his goal.
That's probably what the other variant of him wants to do. That's probably why he's taking the timeline resetters from the minutemen squad.

I love that “End of File” has the same letters as “End of Life”. The little touches that tell you how powerful this bureaucracy is are wonderful.
I feel like the cartoon explained pretty explicitly that there is no multiverse. The whole point of the TVA is to stop there being multiple timelines.
I think the wire analogy is exactly how it's working. It fits the Ancient One's explanation, too.
I mean there is literally a movie coming out next year called Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness
I reckon that there still is a multiverse, it’s just on a higher level than the TVA, like for each different universe there will be a main timeline a TVA dedicated to protecting it, some universes TVA fail and some don’t, the “evil Loki” could potentially be a Loki from a different universe rather than timeline who has successfully taken down other TVA organisations like his own from his respective universe 👐
@@JoeyBilbo _"stepping off your path created a nexus event, which left unchecked could branch off into madness, leading to another multiversal war"_
To me that sounds like the events of this show will set up the Doctor Strange sequel.
I get the feeling that the TVA isn't gonna make it past this season of Loki in its current form, and by the end there'll be a more traditional multiverse to explore

Oh yeahh he was called Odinson too.
when I saw the letters in "LOKI" changing I thought "lol imagine if the loki who screwed up the timeline will have to fight many versions of himself" and in the end I was like "OOOOH"
I think it might be a full on misdirect. I think when he said the variant they were trying to catch was him, they meant literally him in his own personal future, after he gets out of the TVA into the universe and starts traveling time and killing their minutemen. It might even be that as it progresses he'll end up working with or "fighting" his younger variant self, eventually using him to help take over or destroy the TVA.
Its sad that his whole purpose is to bring the good out of people like the avengers by being bad and to always lose in the end
Its ok, he brought the good out of himself too
I find this incredibly stupid and campy that they addressed it this way. Shouldn't have just reduced his complex character to a stereotype.
@@Nadie47 In the grand scheme of things, everything is a stereotype that existed.
Definitely a bit campy though lol
@@Nadie47 it’s not campy at all. The problem is people watch these shows thinking it’s just fun entertainment. They don’t realize to truth about our world is being told through all these movies and stories we call fiction. The writers and creators of these stories where high ranking members of societies with old knowledge that goes back to ancient Sumerian days, Babylon, etc.
We live in a world were the indigenous peoples who were once one with their creator and nature itself where invaded by foreign beings and reduced to near nothing, all to simply rise again, slowly but surely and remember who they once where, to make it out of that is to pass the ultimate test. Here’s the kicker, those invaders know their role that’s why they do what they do, for the greater glory of the story. Idk how well studie you are but ask yourself this. What group of people on this planet that resemble nobody else, treated like dirt, and don’t know their history? And then ask yourself who controls everything? The language we speak, the CALENDAR we use ( time).
See once you start looking at the world in it’s true form you will see how 90% of the entertainment we watch is telling the same story over and over again.
An ancient African proverb says our story is written in the stars, it tells our future because they are light years away from us, ahead. To know the stars is to know your origins and your destiny.
This isn’t campy to me at all. It’s clever predictive programming, most viewers aren’t watching it the way some of us are, how ironic that this channel is called the normies, most of society is normies. Just consuming without really understanding the layers these creators go to to tell you something deeper. James Cameron’s movie avatar is a good example of this.
@@Southforthewinter please elaborate as you're definitely not making sense here
My interpretation is not that it is predetermined exactly, as that suggests someone else has made the decisions, but that the TVA exists outside of what we consider time. There is no "present" there. The past is as the future and the future the past. It's not that someone has predetermined those events or made the decisions for you, but rather they know what has/will happen as they exist outside of time and can observe all.
Right, if it was predetermined, then how would variants and alternate timelines exist in the first place? They're just far above looking at where you are in the water, to see if you're following the river or branching down a dead end path.
They also seem to want to punish the particular person who made that path, even on top of already exterminating the rest of existence in that reality, so that's a bit worrying.
@@Xanderj89 That reality never should have existed in the first place, and honestly even though its a very Thanos-like move and pretty much dickish in some aspects, the TVA was created to prevent a multiversal temporal collision war, something that created the reason for the TVA to exist and maintain the natural flow of time without folk tampering with it. Its still not an easy thing to agree with, but definitely has more practicality backing it compared to Thanos' completely un-thought out idea to wipe half the universe for resource distribution.
The TVA exists above normal existence and so don't perceive or look at things the same way individual species in the timeline do. So they don't care much for regret and remorse when the outcome is for the better when considering all of temporal existence.
From what I understand the timelines come about as a result of free will, but it's up to the TVA to decide which timeline is the sacred timeline. If it was predetermined there would not be diverging timelines. But also, it could be said that it was predetermined for the TVA to come about too if you really wanna go beyond. But trying to understand that with our limited capacity would be pointless.
@@sidharthbodhi9569 They shouldn't have existed in the first place is an argument I've heard for genocide before, yeah.
From their perspective of having a 'one true timeline' the others "shouldn't" have existed, sure. But they already admitted that was made up too, by their bosses, they just decided to smush them all and keep one main one. So what was 'supposed' to happen was branching wildly, until them. They claim snip it to (ostensibly) prevent a multiversal war.
I think it has yet to be seen if that is truth, or if the timeline they are maintaining is even meant to be the 'true' line, if such a thing even exists. It's just what the people at the TVA think, something immediately brought up by Loki to the Judge, and considering they are all seemingly constructs or created just to follow orders their entire lives and believe what they are told, I can't say I take them at their word.
@@Xanderj89 What you're saying is entirely true, and the Time-keepers do pick and choose whats ok and whats not within the prospect of free will. Hence why I'm waiting for a better explanation in the later episodes, because the TVA in the comics is a bit different, and theirs isnt the only time dominion either.

Probably, it’s funny how you can also see foreshadowing of her appearance in Loki’s prison file. It says “sex: fluid” so yeah, we are surely getting female Loki and I’m here for it
All the other timelines we see are being created on the spot from the Avenger's meddling. Just like how the TVA has come to destroy the timeline immediately after 2012 Loki takes the Tesseract, the TVA probably came to the younger Thanos' timeline with a reset bomb after he left to fight the Avengers in the Sacred Timeline. They know it is all part of the plan to have a Variant Thanos in Endgame, and will prune the timeline he comes from so that it doesn't create any more branches. There isn't a timeline with a rogue 2012 Loki and there isn't a timeline with a Thanos leaving for the future, because the TVA destroyed them.

''How much he's grown in 40 minutes'' FACTS.
This is the first time we get to see Loki being sincere to someone, not even with Thor he never could open up about how he felt and what led him to take the choices he made and why. Loki was really hurt when he found out Odin wasn't his father and that was his only answer of why Thor was always the ''chosen one'' and the favorite to become the ''king'' of Asgard, Loki never had a chance (like he was told as a kid) his whole life was a lie. Unfortunately, Odin told him he loved him too late, Loki in Ragnarok finally has a moment of realization of he could be so much more than just the ''god of mischief'' like Thor always told him, he found a lot of personal growth at the end just to be killed by Thanos right after that... And it sucks. When Mobius told him the curse of his life was meant to repeat over and over again, it doesn't matter how much he could've changed, he's predestined to be the bad guy so others can rise as heroes and become the best version of themselves, while Loki's destiny is to lose everything included his own life, that's why this Lady Loki hates the TVA and wants to take control of their lives (every Loki in the multiverse), change their destiny and get the glorious purpose they have been taken away from.

@@metalore I mean technically he'd be creating more people since he'd be spawning different timelines. Also I think it's more motivated by his fight against predeterminism. He believes he is a god and can do whatever he wants, so he is probably trying to rid the world of the TVA so he can actually live like that.

Fun fact: Infinity Stones only work in the universe they are created in.
Outside of it, they are as usefull as any other rock on the ground.
I mean, not even magic works in the TVA, so that realm just has special rules.
Unlike the comics tho, in the MCU stones from different timelines work in... well, other timelines.
in the comics though, the stones only work in the timeline they're originally from
There's one time line. Then can be other time lines, but they get trimmed by the TVA.
The Avengers didn't get in trouble cos they put the infinity stones and Mjolnir back at the exact time they were taken, allowing the variant timeline to snap back in place on the main timeline.
Captain didn't create a time variance by returning to Peggy, cos he was always meant to live a life with Peggy while the other him was frozen, it was predestined.
The ancient said that a full set of infinity stones is essential to protect a timeline from outside forces. So it will be interesting to see what the TVA think about the current main timeline that is absent infinity stones.
Seems like bullshut excuses...the tva should have interrupted the avengers as soon as they started messing up with time. Why wait for them to put the infinity stones back? Seems like they are chosen which people to interfere with and which ones to ignore..makes no sense...you can just say " oh..it was supposed to happen" and think that's a satisfying answer..wtf
My take is that they don't arrest people who don't cross the critical red line, as long as the Avengers go back to the sacred timeline before creating multiverse, they'll be pardoned, whereas Loki does not have the knowledge to go back so he need to be arrested.
My question is why the evil Loki can jump around without being detected, It's better be a good plot point I hope.
But the timeline we know isn't abscent of infinity stones since they can't be destroyed,it's a known detail that Thanos reduced them to an atomic level,so they still exist but not as stone sized objects.

Also, Tara Strong was Raven in Teen Titans, Timmy Turner, Bubbles in Powerpuff Girls, Ben in Ben 10, Meg on Family Guy, etc.
Agreed. I find it dumb that TVA is punishing him for crime of messing with time. Umm what?
Because the only reason why Loki became a variant was because the Avengers cocked up.
I mean, if I were a prisoner and a guaranteed opportunity to escape was literally dropped in front of me, I would take it as well.
Loki didn’t want to mess with time and had no intentions of doing so. So logically, the people intending on tampering with time should face the consequences rather than the ones impacted by them.
Also, by this logic....TVA and Captain America going back to live a life with Peggy? Umm? No issues with that apparently.
TVA’s reasoning is kinda shaky on this one. “Meant to happen?” Yeah.....totally can understand why Loki is enraged.
Maybe the time variant villain Loki is one that has had enough with the TVA’s tampering and is declaring war on them.
@@Justin-ui5ti In the video explaining the tva you see two dotted red lines above and below the sacred timeline. That represents an acceptable level of freedom/uncertainty in the timeline. When an event passes this limit it becomes a nexus event and is corrected by the tva.
This isn't morality, this choreography. If I choreographed a dance with a large group of people where everyone had to perform the moves assigned to them in order for the performance to work, someone going left when they were supposed to go right is a bigger problem than someone going the direction they were meant to go a little late or a little fast.
Steve is a mortal man out of time going back to the point he disappeared from in order to live out those missing years. There was more than enough room there for him to fit in with that time line since he returned to the point he left. By contrast Loki is an asgardian God with an infinity stone that has been remove from his time line through an act of time travel. His ability to affect the timeline is much higher because of who he is and what he is capable of.
@@infernityable1369 The tva goal is not based on morality to keep things in order. It's based on their own personal beliefes of how the universe should work. They don't care about human morality at all.
@@paulgotik I think you meant to reply to Justin Stanly? 🤔
Meg? I thought Meg was voiced by Mila Kunis.
I was expecting the villain to be another Loki variant, but i like where this can lead, Loki have seen what he become in the future and now has a foil to represent the worst part of themself, this can lead to really interesting places
Loki variant is this Loki but in the future

Eternals cannot get involved because the time keepers told them so. I called it!
The celestials not TVA

@@N3xtStopHell The Timekeepers aren’t ‘Celestials?’
But the Eternals where created byt the Celestials and the Celestials are at the same level of power (if not more) than TVA

8:26 I swear, even if I am 90% wrong, I can’t help but think Ms. Minutes is voiced by Tara Strong, because all I hear is Twilight as if she has Applejack’s southern accent.
Edit: I JUST LOOKED IT UP AND I WAS RIGHT!!!
It says it in the credits
"Where does my dog pee?"
Finally, someone asking the real questions.
Miss Minutes is LITERALLY the female version of Jurrasic Park's Mr DNA.
The lo-fi look is solidly on the Dr. Who/Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy side of Sci-Fi, and I'm all for it. Also the time cop city looks straight out of a Jean-Claude Mézières work, whoever designed this is a massive sci fi nerd
Infinity stones only modify their respective realities. Magic only alters your respective reality. Outside your reality, the infinity stones and magic don't really do anything. It's like having a flashlight, but no battery.
More like having a flashlight out in the sun
That's true for the stones, magic I am not so sure about because there are instances in the trailer where you see Loki using his green magic so I think it's more that the TVA is outside of time and that's why no magic works or they legit just have a magical dampener in the entire area since they have acess to any and all technology ever
@@brianmurray6261 No he is correct magic from one reality doesnt work in another unless its from a higher being or your a nexus being like wanda.
that's only true for the stones or some types of magic. There's magic outside the individual universes.

Lady Loki is rumored to be the villain due to casting 😁 so stoked!! Already the best MCU show so far
What’s with trying to judge all these shows immediately? No it’s not the best so far. Let it finish 1st. Shit halfway through.
@@avonbarksdale91 Calm down
I noticed when we see his profile page in the show it says Gender: Fluid. That and the fact that we didn't see the face at the end. I figure if it's Hiddelston Loki, why not show it? So, yeah, probably Lady Loki. Reminds me of how Doctor Who introduced Missy before making the Doctor female. There were a number of things that reminded me of Doctor Who in this episode, actually.
@@avonbarksdale91 you think you speak for others but you do not. Clearly people stating this is the best marvel show is an opinion
Not just that, also from the trailer and the confirmation of his gender swapping thing.
Props to Chris for bringing out the Volca Keys for this one. Glad you spotted that synth cameo too.
I see a synth and I get hype about it lol
Haha I definitely felt your hype. I think a Fairlight CMI would fit even more nicely on a TVA desk than a Volca.
The way i see the predetermined stuff is that they know what should happen and the stuff with Loki shouldn’t happen, so they won’t know what’s gonna happen with him because it wasn’t supposed to happen.
They where gonna reset this Loki variant
This guy, Miki or Mikey (I don't know about other series/movies) has already watched this episode and then he watched with his friends inorder to play smart and act like he got great observation.
How did I notice? By him, saying "DB Cooper" and by the way he said it. He wasn't like, "Is this DB Cooper?". He was straight, hyped and confident while he said, "DB COOPER !!"
While trying to act cool by giving that "fake-ass hype" and trying to act like he already knew so much about DB Cooper, that's when I caught him re-reacting!
When his friend asked how he got it(the friend is the one who is actually smart and knows about DB Cooper but he isn't trying to act cool and hyping his information the way this Miki hyped the name of Cooper),
Miki said by "watching the trailer" and then keeps his mouth shut while his friend explains about Cooper(without the worthless fake hype), that's the point where I was confident that he had already watched this before.
There are many parts of this scene in the trailer but there isn't a single moment in where it's told that he is D.B Cooper!
Edit: No matter how great your observation is, you can never be so sure and confident that this scene about DB Cooper just by seeing the "air hostess" until and unless you've already watched the series like this guy!
Calling it now, he's doing it to try to save his mother.
i thought that too! and maybe kill thanos?
This first episode was really not only setting up the season but also giving 2012 loki all the character development it took multiple movies to achieve specifically with him watching the tape
Captain Marvel: I’m so powerful I can take on Thanos.
TVA: Hold my infinity Stones
That part when Loki saw his future… It really hit hard. Loki was actually crying. He finally realized his true colors. Now he has the new redemption arc. Loki is back baby!!!!
The loki they’re hunting is lady Loki. That’s my theory. Ever since the news came out that he’ll be gender fluid, I feel like that’s what they really meant.
Basically rewatch endgame when hulk is talking to the ancient One when she explains timeline.
My thoughts exactly
Except this show is sort of 'rewriting' or expanding on those rules.
@@loganbigmo I agree with this as well, I think it's further explaining

Until they directly say otherwise here, I have my own personal headcanon for _fate:_ It isn't that we can't make choices, or that our destiny isn't our own. But rather, we see time with a limited perspective. We see it in a linear fashion.¹ And yet everything is happening at the same time. So, in essence everything that will happen, has already happened. Said headcanon also allows for fortune tellers/psychics.²
Watching a second time (even via reaction clips), what *Mobius* says, and especially the questions asked, take on deeper meaning now that we know _who_ they're hunting. Even *Mobius* seems a bit less empathetic now. 🤔🤯
··•∶✺∶•··
¹ ─ I guess we can go off in another direction and say time doesn't exist. We're really just measuring _motion._
² ─ i.e., in stories.
I like that "Power of Now" pause reference my man!
The MCU has lost all of it's stakes and nuance because of how they address the timeline in this episode
@@Nadie47 I didn't perceive that right off. And I'm hesitant to ask, but. . . _Would you be willing to explain a bit more?_
If not, I understand.¹ And like I said, I'm hesitant to know. After all, when it comes to any IP-cum-franchise, stakes are very difficult to come by as it is. 😬
··•✺•··
¹ ─ For one thing, one can tend to forget there are people on the other end of these screens. People with _who-knows-what_ going on which could require their attention.

If Loki never tried to take the Tessaract, Kang would never have made it back in the timeloop.
The wires analogy is really good
I love how the first 3 MCU phases was built on the infinity stones and how powerful they are, but this one episode just undermined them by having a desk worker use them as paper weights
@@Zikk0_o irrelevant to my comment, it still undermines it
@@BenAri18 How are they undermined? They can't function outside their universe. It's like trying to start a fire with no oxygen.
@@Zikk0_o u missing the point einstein how is it not undermined yes ik they dont work outside their universe and the tva is in its own pocket dimension but they still undermining it by using them as paper weights compared to before when they used them to destroy planets or half of all life etc and btw terrible analogy
@@BenAri18 If the stones have no use in their dimension, what else do you expect TVA to do with them? They're just regular jewels similar to how they're just rocks when the Celestials mine them in their dimension.
You seem to have difficulty coming to terms with how things world in the Marvel universe. The scene is there to demonstrate and make the audience understand that things work differently outside of the MCU bubble. Undermining would be if a TVA agent held the Power stone while in the main universe when we've seen the damage it does to any individual that tries to pick it up. They're expanding the scope of the MCU and this scene does nothing to mitigate the power of the Infinity Stones. None of the villains they show from here on out will match the power of the stones.
