When groot says "i love you guys." He's really saying "I am Groot." Its just that we can understand him. The same way the crew can understand what hes saying.
I didn't like how after this came out people were complaining about how Gamora was being bitchy and rude. That was the whole point. She wasn't the same Gamora, she's not even the Gamora from Guardians 1. Also shows why Thanos really loved her, she was completely ruthless.
Plus she was constantly compared to and asked to be like her past-self, not just by Quill but practically those same audience members in a meta-sorta way. She managed to stay calm about it til eventually she had enough, I don’t blame her
She sorta was. She was the Gamora from right before Guardians 1. Like literally the same week. But what she didnt get was the oppurtunity to try and escape like Guardians 1 Gamora did. Because instead of taking the Stone to sell on Xandar it got intercepted and all the stuff with Endgame happened. So it really is an interesting look at a character. Because its almost the exact same starting point as Guardians 1 Gamora since she still does make the choice to leave Thanos but she makes that decision because of Nebula instead of being alone and doing it and then finding the Guardians. So she doesnt soften up as much because the Ravagers are not the Guardians. She finds friends and a sorta family with them but she develops very differently than she did with Peter and the rest.
Gamora's ending made me SOB. Because it was HAPPY! She ended up with a family who loved her, just not the one we expected. Absolutely shattered me. What an ending for a film series that began when I was so much younger :')
I saw that and realized that she already made family with the ravagers that accepted her, but Quill and the rest of gotg doesn't really see it or know, they just know she's part of the space pirates, it was very sad but this isn't the Gamora we know and love from the past and that's okay as Quill finally realized it at the end. And I get why it can be so frustrating on her end, she never experience what our Gamora went through with the gotg and Co, but it was nice that she acknowledges it at the end she realized that it might've been fun being with them, but she already has a family she made with the ravagers and she's content with that :,)
.... not gonna be a ass for saying this but rocket probably stole their prosthetics as a prank as well. since taking it wont hurt them it was probably a game they did like tag was.
Love the symbolism of Rocket choosing Creep - a 90's song - at the start. Almost the new millenium but not quite: Rocket has grown significantly but his past/identity still haunts him. Then in the end he picks a 2000's song 'Dog Days are Over' which is proudly the antithesis of that. James Gunn is a soundtrack master. Top 3 MCU for me.
When Rocket started playing "Come and Get Your Love", Kraglin was laughing and made me wonder if that part was unscripted with Sean actually laughing out of surprise. Either way, perfect song to (begin and) conclude with.
I had never heard of the actor that played High Evolutionary but he's such a GOOD actor. I usually root for villains because I find them cooler but I legit hate the High Evolutionary and that's a GOOD thing because James Gunn and Chukwudi Iwuji did such a GREAT job at portraying him! Such a GOOD villain because he's so bad!

Easily the best MCU movie as of late. This is a tremendous wrap up to the Guardians, and the Adam Warlock flying sequences has my hyped for James Gunn’s Superman!!!!
I love that Yondu's arrow just bounced off of Adam Warlock, and he turns and looks around, "Who threw that?" looking annoyed. Like, this arrow skewers most living creatures and is a devastating weapon in the right hands, and it just bounced off him. lol
Rocket develops the gravity boots in the beginning of the movie. Those same boots where used to get out of the force push that the high evolutionary had him pinned in just before Rocket delivers the one-liner: “The name’s Rocket. Rocket Raccoon.” And then proceeds to shoot him. 43:33
As soon as I saw Rocket's little band of friends, I knew what was coming. After all, he doesn't have them in the future. But seeing how he got there was one of the most powerful emotional experiences in the MCU. I don't know that I've ever hated a villain quite so much as the High Evolutionary, even though others have done objectively worse things. "There is no God! That's why I stepped in!" is one of the most succinct motivation statements that I've ever heard. It's chilling. If GotGV3 doesn't win some awards, or at least get nominated for them, there is no justice in this world.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume Three is still one of my favourite movies from phase five not only because of the story, but because we finally got to see Rocket’s tragic backstory and how he got his name. Fun fact, you may recognize Daniela Melchior, who starred in The Suicide Squad movie in 2021, plays the manager in GOTG 3, and Jennifer Holland, who starred in both The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker TV series, plays the office administrator. And Linda Cardellini plays the new character Lylla, who’s Rocket’s love interest in the comics since Linda Cardellini was well known for her role as Hawkeye’s wife Laura.
The High Evolutionary has very fascinating history in the comics. He's actually responsible for enhancing Scarlet Witch's genes, allowing her powers to manifest before getting supernatural influence. Also he's not dead in the movie. You can see Drax carry him out and a deleted scene has Rocket lock him up in a cage on Knowhere
The High Evolutionary has his hands in a lot of cookie jars in the comics. He's part of and even responsible for a lot of things in the MU. I think that's why he's spared in the end because the MCU might have more for him.
I remember crying uncontrollably when Rocket saw his friends in heaven. Even the second time I watched it! This movie was an emotional rollercoaster in every sense of the word.
I was crying so much in the cinema and I could hear other people crying in the cinema. When the movie ended we all started clapping it was amazing. One of the best MCU movie. 💗❤️ Thank you James Gunn for creating such an incredible film.
I love how far all of the guardians have come with their character development. Do you know how good it made me feel to hear Drax of all people to say, "pick on someone your own size" before he tossed Adam Warlock through the air? He is such a family member at this point.
Best Marvel movie ever and best film overall in a while. I don't think Nebula's growth is acknowledged enough. Was cold-hearted and literally robotic before and now she's like the group's older sister. Her dancing and smiling at the end is underrated (remember how she was dancing in the Holiday Special? Night and day). Saw an early screening where they also showed the first two films back-to-back before. 8 hours in a theatre, left at 2:30 AM, such a fun night. The Avengers were my favourite group, then the Agents of SHIELD took that place, and now the Guardians have it And side note: Did y'all watch that Guardians Inferno music video (from Guardians 2)? Somehow, I just discovered it only recently, after Guardians 3 already was out 😅 Best thing I didn't know I needed.
Fun little side fact, the alien that is forced to fall in love with Drax is played by Benjamin Byron Davis, who is best known for playing Dutch van der Linde in Red Dead Redemption 2.
I have seriously never cried while watching a movie, I bawled my eyes out watching this for the first time and every single time I rewatch it I still start to cry my eyes out even watching reviews. This gorgeous movie hits me like a truck and I absolutely love it. The most rounded out and perfect trilogy I've ever seen.
You guys always give me so much comfort in the bad times. My best friend just died. And i am constantly watching you videos when i am on my own. Makes me feel not that alone. You may not know me. But you allmfeel like friends. Thnks for everything you do, :(
An absolutely incredible movie, making me cry, laugh, just all the feels! And shines such an important light on how messed up any kind of abuse/exploitation of animals is. It makes me remember a really serious concept I either read in a book or heard somewhere online, where the author/host asked the question ‘Are you an animal lover or in reality just a pet lover?’ In other words the author/host is proposing a very self-reflective question of do u love and are compassionate to all animals or do u show love and compassion only to those animals society sees as pets
This is like the first of marvel phase 4 and 5 I actually loved I usually just think the phase 4 movies were OK or really bad but this is amazing and actually feels like there's love behind the project
15:20 I would like to point out it does makes sense tho since nebula has been the new gamora and this version of gamora has been acting more like old nebula was. They even worn opposites colors of each other in they’re space suits
I'm surprised you didn't include Nebula's reaction to Rocket being alive. Her crying in relief broke me. And as for found family, I just remembered the full version of "Blood is thicker than water." The full proverb is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." The family you build out of love is always stronger.
Rocket going back to where he came from and finally accepting he's a racoon is him accepting his identity is somewhat telling us that he has finally embraced his past that he kept secret for all this time, who he was and what happened to him is essential to knowing who he is right now.
The whole trilogy with Guardians has been great With so many Marvel movies and sometimes even the series not delivering as much hype as they once did it's endearing to see that Guardians delivered so much fun and coolness throughout its trilogy
I loved all the music that was featured in all the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. The High Evolutionary is giving me Space Doctor Moreau vibes. Adam Warlock is Space Jesus in the comics. There is no doubt that High Evolutionary is one of the evil villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for me, this is a dark, frightening, and excellent film. Chukwudi Iwuji described High Evolutionary as "narcissistic, outrageous, but very charming. I can't think of a better character who uses his skills better to join the MCU. Because there's something very Shakespear about him, there's something very emotionally dark about him, and he's fun."
The fact that Rocket casually mentions testing his Gravity Boots at the start of the movie, and then ends up using them to cancel out High Evolutionarys power at the end.
The movie is perfect and has so many lessons hidden in its such as family and even whether some like it or not saving all animals and recognizing that animals are friends and family and they are not food nor are they experiments it was so intelligently put together. Moving and fun.
I like how this movie carries the weight of Gamora's death from Infinity War. Yes a Gamora is in the movie, but she has no connection to the Guardians outside of Nebula and doesn't have the same relationship with them as the one who died. At the end, she leaves them once again. It hammers home that the Gamora we knew really is gone and isn't coming back. Unlike how the MCU handled Loki and Vision. Loki was given a PowerPoint of the main Loki's life and Vision literally had all his memories restored. Gamora didn't have any of that bs
Top 5 or even top 3 MCU movies out there, hands down! Everything was perfect. I really expected this movie to bring so much fun, emotions, action and it definetly was worth the wait and it had it all. I enjoyed every single minute of this movie. I liked Adam Warlock. I knew he was not gonna have much screen time, because here he's still a baby. He's not that powerful yet but i definetly can't wait to see more of Adam and his full power. He will most likely be one of the strongest when it comes to fight Kang.
When Drax had a moment fighting Warlock at the beginning I KNEW this would be my favorite guardians. THAT'S the Drax who was meant to beef with Thanos but got his arc replaced with Thor's (which was done very well for Thor but still)
I don’t know if you guys knew this already, but buff groot isn’t the same as original groot, he’s more like his son. This groot is a different person, original groot died in volume one.
High Evolutionary, finally a vilain who is irredeemable and not a tragic character. We don't want to see a monster eugenist be redeem at the end, it would be weird. Great acting, a little over the top at moment but i think it was intentionnal.
Rocket’s backstory was possibly one of the saddest things I have ever seen throughout the MCU 😢😢😢 40:07 - 41:14 The fight scene with all the Guardians, was awesome. The fact that it was done in one take, was incredible. One of my favorite scenes in the movie, along with 38:03 Kraglin using Yondu’s arrow and 43:34 “The name’s Rocket. Rocket Raccoon.” 🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌
You know I think you're the first reactors I've seen who didn't straight up laugh when Drax told Nebula "You didn't ask" if he knew the kids language. Like sure, that's exactly what Drax would say. But it also shows that he isn't all that stupid, and that the team maybe dismisses him far more often than they ought to, excluding Mantis for the most part.
So the whole point of the villains goal is to create the PERFECT society. He was never able to create the perfect society though, because he couldn't get his subjects to "invent". He could only program. THATS the whole reason he was hellbent on getting Rocket back. Some mistake he made resulted in Rocket having the conscious ability to create/invent. Think for himself and expand on his thoughts. Counter Earth wasn't necessarily supposed to be a copy of Earth. It was supposed to be a recreation with "perfect" inhabitants... But ofc that failed due to the limits of his subjects and their inability to advance/grow, which is why you see the society fail. It's actually a very well thought out plot when you really think about what's happening.
Nope. He didn't have his mask because it broke against his dad in the last movie. The writer's of Avengers f'd up by having him wear it in those movies.
It is theorized that the Sentence from Layla "The story has been yours all along..." means a lot more and that rocket will porbably have a very important role in the MCU. Hope that turns out true.
I'm so sick of people forgetting how good phase 4 is. Sure the movies have been inconsistent but Wandavision, falcon and winter soldier, loki, and moon knight were great.
Spiderman: No Way Home, ShangChi, and Wakanda Forever are some of the best movies Marvel has put out. The other three phases had just as many hits and miss movies but its just cool to hate on Marvel now for some reason.
@@LukaDoncicGOAT l don't think you can fairly say all the shows over the last couple years have been terrible, l mean the one with Hailee as a Hawkeye protege was good and have only seen good things by reactors about it.
I believe the reason why we heard “I love you guys” instead of I am Groot” at the end was because the longer your around Groot the more you understand, when he said that to Gamora near the end she said yeah it was nice working with you too, clarifying she understood what he said, I love that at the end since we see Groot so much, they even involved us because of him saying I love you guys, again I believe that’s the reason I totally forgot, but great film!
Jennifer Holland, James Gunn’s wife, Administrator Kwol in Guardians 3, plays Emilia Harcourt in Peacemaker. Daniela Melchior, Ura in Guardians 3, plays Ratcatcher 2 in The Suicide Squad. Nathan Fillion, Karja the security guard in Guardians 3, plays TDK in The Suicide Squad. Chukwudi Iwuji, High Evolutionary in Guardians 3, plays Clemson Murn in Peacemaker.
They had to cripple Adam Warlock with him coming out early, since Guardians 3 was delayed because Gunn was taken off the project, Thor was no longer part of the Guardians by the new release date. Since Adam is so powerful only Thor and the Guardians would be able to stand up to him, without Thor, a full powered Adam Warlock would destroy the Guardians easily.
What a goddamn beautiful piece of film. It was wild and weird and wonderful. Rocket whooping with unrestrained joy at the end will stay with me forever.
Before watching this, my favorite version of the Guardians was the recent PS4/PS5 version and story. But this movie is now my favorite, it had the same elements as the game, those darker elements and moving moments that hit me in the feels, tye heart muscle. James Gunn has this ability to put so much heart in relatively obscure even villainous characters that you don't see in movies with actual well-known superheroes even movies with the Avengers who felt more like co-workers than friends or family. I'm going to miss him in the MCU but I've enjoyed his material with the DCU so far. Seriously guys, you definitely should play the Guardians of the Galaxy game if you haven't yet, the characters aren't MCU Guardians but they're still a great version of those characters and world.
When me and my sister saw this in theaters, I thought she was going to cry more than me, but it was the opposite. I cried from the ending on, bawling my eyes non-stop and even a few days after I watched it
When groot says "i love you guys." He's really saying "I am Groot." Its just that we can understand him. The same way the crew can understand what hes saying.

This was the perfect send off for the guardians I felt so many emotions though out the whole movie
Almost every Guardian in the MCU is a former minor villain turned hero through the power of found family.
This movie also explains Rockets obsession with stealing parts off random people and using them to his own ends 😮
43:33; his power is gravity, they mentioned anti-gravity boots at the start of the movie.
Even Nebula was horrified by Rocket's memories.
You have to remember that when Peter killed Ego he destroyed his only connection to celestials and Egos power
Yeah exactly otherwise he would have used it in Infinity War
41:37 these guys might have the absolute best reaction to Lambshank which, if you didn’t know, is played by James Gunn himself😂😂😂
Rocket going back to where he came from and finally accepting he's a racoon is him accepting his identity is somewhat telling us that he has finally embraced his past that he kept secret for all this time, who he was and what happened to him is essential to knowing who he is right now.
The whole trilogy with Guardians has been great
With so many Marvel movies and sometimes even the series not delivering as much hype as they once did it's endearing to see that Guardians delivered so much fun and coolness throughout its trilogy
The Groot " I love you guys" was US finally understanding Groot.
It was truly an amazing movie. It made me laugh and cry as a good movie should. Props to James Gunn, the cast and crew.
I didn't realize that Harcourt girl was the one in the spacesuit that got shot!
This was my first time rewatching this since I saw it in theaters and it hit just as hard. Easily my favorite film of 2023.
Guardians 3 was a outstanding conclusion to their story. By far the best movie since Endgame.
The fact that Rocket casually mentions testing his Gravity Boots at the start of the movie, and then ends up using them to cancel out High Evolutionarys power at the end.
This movie is honestly one of my all time fav Marvel movies...
“One of these days, I will be reacted to!” - Werewolf By Night Special
I literally just finished watching Gaurdians of The Galaxy 3 with my mom, crying my eyes out. Only to see you guys upload a reaction to it
I kind of expected that final "star lord will return" screen to say "Star Lord Will Return...After He Mows The Lawn"
Yeah because it's not like the MCU doesn't already have a bunch of jokes that do nothing for the plot already. Fantastic writing 👌
"Star Lord Will Return... maybe."
The movie is perfect and has so many lessons hidden in its such as family and even whether some like it or not saving all animals and recognizing that animals are friends and family and they are not food nor are they experiments it was so intelligently put together. Moving and fun.
Ummm they are food that’s the circle of life or is a lion supposed to eat a plant?
endgame made ALMOST cry but THIS movie, oh boi, it hit hard af
I like how this movie carries the weight of Gamora's death from Infinity War. Yes a Gamora is in the movie, but she has no connection to the Guardians outside of Nebula and doesn't have the same relationship with them as the one who died. At the end, she leaves them once again. It hammers home that the Gamora we knew really is gone and isn't coming back.
Unlike how the MCU handled Loki and Vision. Loki was given a PowerPoint of the main Loki's life and Vision literally had all his memories restored. Gamora didn't have any of that bs
"Don't be rash" - Adam Warlock
I was mid-vape hit in the back of the the theater when I heard “orange is for blue!”
Couldn’t help but let it all out
“Fucking Raccoons are hardcore, man” - Peacemaker
Top 5 or even top 3 MCU movies out there, hands down! Everything was perfect. I really expected this movie to bring so much fun, emotions, action and it definetly was worth the wait and it had it all. I enjoyed every single minute of this movie. I liked Adam Warlock. I knew he was not gonna have much screen time, because here he's still a baby. He's not that powerful yet but i definetly can't wait to see more of Adam and his full power. He will most likely be one of the strongest when it comes to fight Kang.
I love them saying the Guardians movies have been all about Rocket the whole time. Makes rewatching even better.
I honestly thought I'd never see counter earth in a Marvel movie. My memory of counter earth is from an animated show called "Spider-Man Unlimited".
Nebula's Reaction to Rockets return is what broke me.
When Drax had a moment fighting Warlock at the beginning I KNEW this would be my favorite guardians. THAT'S the Drax who was meant to beef with Thanos but got his arc replaced with Thor's (which was done very well for Thor but still)
Chris being the embodiment of me during the intro? I'M DYING
"I'm afraid to say my name. Because every time I say it, cool things happen."
In comics the high revolution had a messed up face doing experiments on himself
I don’t know if you guys knew this already, but buff groot isn’t the same as original groot, he’s more like his son. This groot is a different person, original groot died in volume one.
53:50 groot is indeed from a planet full of other groots but that planet was destroyed and as far as we know he is the last of he’s kind
This movie brought to tears twice 😢
The death of rockets friends and the afterlife
High Evolutionary, finally a vilain who is irredeemable and not a tragic character. We don't want to see a monster eugenist be redeem at the end, it would be weird. Great acting, a little over the top at moment but i think it was intentionnal.
I held it together until the end dance scene, when Rocket screams out cathartically.
Rocket’s backstory was possibly one of the saddest things I have ever seen throughout the MCU 😢😢😢
40:07 - 41:14 The fight scene with all the Guardians, was awesome.
THANKS for this, Normies!!! A Saturday lunch with you is perfect!!!
Peter didn’t have his boots or his mask cause he was drunk earlier in the movie lol
Nope. He didn't have his mask because it broke against his dad in the last movie. The writer's of Avengers f'd up by having him wear it in those movies.
@@Micheal93k I forgot about that
You guys make me watch movies when they come out so that I can fully appreciate the reaction.
0:40 I love Chris. So glad they didn't move away.
This movie really is amazing.
It is theorized that the Sentence from Layla "The story has been yours all along..." means a lot more and that rocket will porbably have a very important role in the MCU. Hope that turns out true.
In the comics Phyla Vel is Quasar and is actually the girlfriend of Drax's daughter as well.
Someone has to do a compilation of Suraj saying “since Endgame” or saying “the best since Endgame” I bet the video would be 10 minutes 😂
💀
I'm so sick of people forgetting how good phase 4 is. Sure the movies have been inconsistent but Wandavision, falcon and winter soldier, loki, and moon knight were great.
Spiderman: No Way Home, ShangChi, and Wakanda Forever are some of the best movies Marvel has put out. The other three phases had just as many hits and miss movies but its just cool to hate on Marvel now for some reason.
Bruh all the shows were terrible
@@LukaDoncicGOAT l don't think you can fairly say all the shows over the last couple years have been terrible, l mean the one with Hailee as a Hawkeye protege was good and have only seen good things by reactors about it.
I think this is phase 5
@@jeffreyweitzman6463 Hawkeye was mid at best
“ worst case scenario, they will scratch the hell out of your face” - Dr. Fore S. Hadow 😂
Fun Fact for @TheNormies, the baby raccoons Rocket ends up saving are his nieces and nephews.
What a goddamn beautiful piece of film. It was wild and weird and wonderful. Rocket whooping with unrestrained joy at the end will stay with me forever.
This is my second favorite MCU movie after Iron Man. The humor, the action, the emotion…..top notch Marvel content 🙏🏾
After all these years we have a F-Bomb & Rocket admits he's a raccoon.
Drax carried High Evolutionary off the ship and he's currently in the Knowhere prison.
When me and my sister saw this in theaters, I thought she was going to cry more than me, but it was the opposite. I cried from the ending on, bawling my eyes non-stop and even a few days after I watched it
