Just got my sand pearl white fxlrst... traded in my (what I thought was the best-looking bike HD ever made) 2019 Road King Special. That all changes when they dropped the lowrider st last year. Then my sales rep at CTXHD told me they were coming in white for the 23 year model. That completely changed my mind on what the best looking bike ever made was! Yeah... I said it... ever made. Harley or not. By far the best Harley I've owned... sportster, dyna, touring. Complete game changer.

I just recently bought a Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. While the bike in of itself is a great bike, it has just proven to be too tall for me, and hard to handle once off the bike due to the higher center of gravity due to the height. I noticed a sand pearl white FXLRST was in stock at my local HD dealer so I went to scope it out since I've been eyeballing this bike since it came out. I figured that this would be the bike I got if I ever got a Harley. I was able to set eyes on the bike, sit on it, and take it for a test ride. I fell in love right away. I can certainly tell you that once I pay off this Triumph a bit so I can trade it in, I'm getting myself one of these bad boys. I just can't stop thinking about it since my test ride. It is a wonderful machine.

And that they do, they play a lot of games no matter which one you go to. They try and squeeze every single penny out of you and that’s only if you just say yes to whatever they say. You have to be firm with what you’re willing to pay and as long as it’s reasonable they’ll try and act like it’s impossible for them to do but if you stick to your guns you can get yourself a “good deal”

I just bought this bike last week. Waiting on my new seat and passenger accessories for my wife. Popped some tab slip ons with the zombie baffles. She is loud. It came with the speakers (which I wasn't really interested in) and now I won't be able to really hear them. Had to snatch it up, cuz I know they'll be hard to come by. It's a tease at the moment sitting in the garage. It's not riding season here in the gettysburg PA region. Thanks for the video

I traded my 2019 Iron 883 for a 2022 gunship grey S and I love it. I almost went with the ST because it looked amazing, but I ultimately wanted to do my own fairing and bags (even though the asymmetrical bags don't bug me, but I get why it bothers other people). A very fun bike to rip around on and a huge leap from an 883. Anyone on the fence, I say do it!

Love the 2022 Lowrider ST and S but went for the S since all my riding is local. I agree, it's the best Harley I've owned. Plenty of power, best suspension on any stock bike I've owned and handles wonderfully. As you mentioned I'm also going to change out the bars for ones that bring the grips closer. At 5'6" I can easily flat foot the bike, the air filter is far enough away that I'm not banging my knee against it and mid controls will probably be comfortable for anyone 6' or less. Cruise control, standard on th ST but I added to my S model, will be a must on any future bike I own. It takes some of the stress of my shoulders and allows a periodic ability to flex the right arm on longer rides.

As far as handling it's a toss up between the Pan Am and the Lowrider. But I find myself riding the lowrider almost every day. It's insane!🏍😁👍✌️

@Sanjin Uravić I installed bilit forward controls with mini floorboards, a mustache engine gaurd that HD says will not work. I switched out the fancy intake (sticks out from the heads 8") to a screaming eagle ventilator ( it's only 2.5"), I added a kraus pullback plate to raise the stock risers 2" and back 2". If search for FXLRST groups you can join a rather large one (over 6 thousand members) that you can quiz others about what they have done (including photos) and get ideas and what can be done. My handlebar change made a big difference in the way is sit and did not require cable length changes. There are also RUclips subs that have made vids on how to do these changes. Check out Holy Shift he's done quite a few
      good luck!

I like that the hands stay in the wind. I'd rather wear gloves in the cold than burn up in the heat.
There is nothing better about inverted forks on street bikes. They provide a little less unsprung weight and fork flex on race bikes, but I can beat my Road Kings floorboards to death in corners and the conventional forks work just fine. I'm sure the fancy stuff they put on the King of Bagger bikes works great on a track, but it'd be overkill on the street with weight/speed/cornering limitations of HDs. It does make the bike look sportier though. Maybe add a tad more confidence in 70+ mph sweepers, but then you're risking your neck with tires made for longevity, not corner speed.
I've owned many of both types forks on bikes that go around corners much faster than HDs and I couldn't tell you the difference on the street.
That said, the new Showa bending valve dampers have made new HDs FAR superior to old ones. The old ones felt like riding in a 70s Buick. Like being on a cloud with no feeling of connection to the road. I suspect the newer springs are stiffer than the old ones too. They feel like a much newer Buick to me now.
Bike looks good, but the ergos are ass. It needs a seat like the Fat Bob. The scooped out seat and high mid-pegs make me feel like I've fallen in a toilet with the lid up whenever I've been on one.
I like the tan white color with the rusty trim. Needs more trim definition of the engine though.
I love the simple cockpit. So tired of seeing bikes with big screen TVs strapped on the dash. What the hell am I doing, riding a motorcycle or playing Angry Birds?
Price is a bit insane for a bike you can't even take a passenger on, but I'm sure HD will still sell a ton of them. Hell, maybe even to me. Your ride did look like fun.

I really love the Low Rider ST and at the same time hate HD for the details case in point being the bags. So you buy the bike and fair enough you do the normal Harley tax, of doing a Stage one and fitting a new exhaust (probably a 2-1 as that is what suits her the most), and that is when the asymmetric bags start to look lame. Result 1k for exhaust/tuning and another 2k to fix the bags. It starts to become stupid in $$$$, when they really could have fitted a 2-1 as it was in the Sport Glide. That is excluding some other cosmetic bits....

That Atari display from the 60s look ridiculous for a $23K bike. Does it come with a magnifying glass so you can read what's on the display? You're talkin about LED turn signals? $25K Street Glide 107 comes with halogen head lights and no LED. I thought the German guy would bring a little more common sense tech to the bikes, but my bad!

Hi, thanks for a very good review, in regards to the ST VIN lock, if I find an ST owner can I have this person purchase the ST fairing so that I can install it on my 2022 LRS? Any comments on the ST wind buffeting so far

    • @throttleblip9854
      @throttleblip9854  Год назад +1

I don't see why that wouldn't work. I have no buffeting issues with that fairing. I'm also not as picky as some other riders I know. I'd say go test ride one if you can.

Your size - stick with the Road Glide. I'm only 5'9" / 160, and if I was much bigger, I'd be unhappy with my ST. I sold my '17 Ultra to buy the ST last spring, and by last fall, I ended up buying another touring bike ('20 Street Glide) for long distances / comfort. Still have the ST, on the fence about selling it. Much more fun for shorter rides but after a few hours, it feels cramped to me. Need highway pegs or something, those mids are a little high for me for several hundred miles at a time. Depends on your intended use I guess, couple hours - can't beat the ST, period. I cramp up at around 300 miles on it though with the stock pegs & no highway pegs.

Great channel and you have a new subscriber. Question...I turn 62 next month and have nor ridden a bike since selling my Harley Street Glide 15 year ago which we know is a heavy bike. Because of my age I am a tad weaker and when I saw this bike I was this wow....this is my next ride. I live in Austin TX and want a bike thats fun for cruising around thew city and also spending hours in the Texas Hill Country. I only ride solo and am not a cross country type of rider. Does thisa seem like the perfect bike for an old fuckker like me because I truly think the 100 lb difference between this and Street Glide will make this a much more fun ride. I do NOT like doing 100 MPH on a bike but LOVE going from 0-60 as quickly as possible. So plan on doing a stage two, change the seat and possibly add the thrasher pull back risers everyone seems to dig. I am 5'7" so hopefully this windscreen does not need to be replaced with a larger one. I do love music but not sure if you can hear the Fosgate once you change the pipes and wear a full face helmet. Just looking to hear from some other folks who were considering a SG or RG and bought the Low Rider ST instead and have zero regrets. Thanks everyone. . And thank you Throttle Blip for a great channel. Safe travels my friends🙏

I want two things: Same size bags (what company makes them!?) and lowers in the style of the Road Glide. I love the FXRT but the lowers being made do not match the bike, let's be honest! The ST deserves its own style, I taped up some RG lowers to it and it would look great with the chin spoiler and angular style lowers. PLEASE! SOMEONE MAKE THESE. The other thing... Harley... when you black out a bike FFS do the push rod tubes. All in all I LOVE my ST it is an incredible ride.
