I tried ArkOS on my RG353PS with the exact same image. Sadly it often doesn't boot and gets stuck on the boot logo. When it boots it sometimes freezes after exiting a game. I got so annoyed that I tried Jelos and it works perfectly. N64 performance is worse compared to ArkOS but at least it is completely stable.
I've seen on Reddit that this is an issue a few are experiencing across the 353 series where ArkOS won't load on some devices. From what I understand, it has to do with slight variations in some of the hardware used in the manufacturing process. It's a bummer for those that have one of those devices, but I'm glad Jelos is working out for you. I've been wanting to spend some more time with Jelos and UnofficialOS, as I've heard good things about both.
Sorry, I have another question. What about speeds? Would 100MB/s be enough for the main system card? I saw Sandisk 32GB and 128GB at this speed for a good price at my local electronics store.
Thanks for this video, I'm honest, I love this console version, but shipping to the USA costs me $165 more and I feel that it's too much, I understand that the PS version of this version came out at a more comfortable price, I'll wait for the price to drop the P version, on the other hand I understand that the best frimware for the P and PS version is ÁRALE, I hope you make a video with the installation of that Frimware.

Nice helpful video with useful links. I'm going to stick to the official Anbernic firmware release though, which came out 4/3/23 I believe. It works great, Bluetooth controllers pair up easily with no fuss, and I can boot into Android without having to take out the SD card in slot one. Plus it seems more snappier to me. Sure, ArkOS may have a few more systems that can be played, but a lot of them aren't worth the time. The official firmware has the major systems you'd actually want to play. Their new frontend on the Android side needs a little work, but it's quite easy to use right out of the box. Setting up Kodi to watch my favorite shows and live TV seemed easier to do on the official firmware as well.
The official firmware from Anbernic is a pleasant surprise on the 353 series. It's the first one they've put out, IMO, that is actually really good. You'll get no pushback from me for sticking with it. Happy gaming :)
@@kaczan3 Sure... You'll need a freshly formatted SD card. Format the card as ExFAT and then plug it into your 353 and turn it on. This will create all the necessary folders on the 2nd SD card. Once it's booted you can then power off the 353 and plug it in to your computer/laptop and copy and paste all of your games over into their corresponding console folders. Once your games are moved over plug the card back into the 353 and you should be good to go.
@@otggaming3180 Thank you. But there seems to be something wrong. It's definitely formatted to exFAT, but when I insert the card and turn on the 353 it doesn't seem to creat ethe folders. But it does recognize the card because all the games I have on the main card are now inaccessible so the sistem IS at least looking at the second card. Maybe this card is faulty too? Although it's a name brand that I had in my old phone. While playing on the main card save states on the faulty card didn't work, that's how I know it's faulty. The save states on the main card do work, but the in--game saves don't Maybe the main card is faulty too.
I want to go ahead with the two sd card method . Is the stock card that comes with the device reliable or not? If i want to keep the stock os is this card reliable enough? Or do i have to get a better card and install the stock os on this new card?
Is the stock card a Kioxia? If so, they are pretty reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to stick with it as the OS card. However, if the stock card is just a plain unbranded card, I would definitely ditch it as they have a bad reputation and it's only a matter of time before it fails.

The HDMI out works just fine on my RG35XX, but it doesn't seem to be working on the RG353PS using the stock software. Have you tested it on both the stock and the ARK OS or Jelos by chance? how arkos compare with Jelos? I'm on Jelos right now, and I'm raving problems with Doom port and having poor performance on my bSnes (my favorite emulator). Also from time to time my sound go away and just come back after reflashing the firmware.
Quite random, since I don't own this device (yet; still running the 351P and am happy enough with it until I can get something properly powerful or I'd go for the rg arc), but I didn't know about the SD card formatter software from before. Been running it now and have possibly saved two smaller cards (that I used to experiment with) so thank you for the heads up. 👍
HI! Thanks for this video...I did everything as you said, but as far as the scraper is concerned, I only looked for the images for Ps1, I see that it downloads them but the images don't appear in the games list. How can I fix it? I have a Rg353PS 🙏
Can you verify that they are on the SD card? They should be in the PS1 roms folder in a separate sub-folder for images. If they are there, then it might be your ArkOS theme settings. You could try loading a different theme and see if that solves the problem.

@@furmasterflash Are you wanting to make a backup of the card or just grab the ROMS and BIOS files? If making a backup, I would us a program like Win32 Disk Imager. You can use the "read" function to create a .img file of the SD card: win32diskimager.org/ If you just want to copy and paste the ROMS and BIOS folder, you can do that too. Just make sure you get them into the correct folders for the OS you move them too. No problem :) 100MB/s will be plenty. I wouldn't worry too much about speed though, as any modern brand name card should work just fine.

I just got my unit. The 2nd sd card was faulty. Could you tell me how to install the library on the seond card in the official Anbernic firmware?

Once it's booted you can then power off the 353 and plug it in to your computer/laptop and copy and paste all of your games over into their corresponding console folders.
Once your games are moved over plug the card back into the 353 and you should be good to go.
