Hey guys, please dont erase your ORIGINAL Stock SD. YOU NEED NEW SD CARDS. DONT REUSE YOUR STOCK SD CARDS. Its seems alot of people are deleting their stock sd to reuse it and deleting the necessary dtb files. Please follow instructions so you dont have a bad time. Also you NEED to use your own dtb from your stock sd card. Mine will not work for you anymore because the R36S has had hardware changes.

Anyone have trouble with the second (ROM) SD card slot? I am formatting my new SD card to Fat32 but the R36S isn't recognizing the new card, says it can't find a properly formatted card. It still recognizes the stock card as properly formatted and working.
For me it never loads up and the files are flashed and all. Its just a black screen for me. I did the steps over 4 times and nothing. Am I doing something wrong here?
I followed all the procedures as outlined in the video. I replaced the SD card with a Sandisk 128GB one. After transferring the data to the SD card and inserting it into the console, it displays the system logo and then goes to a black screen. It doesn't move past the black screen. I also noticed that when using Rufus, it only shows the BOOT partition. It doesn't create the EASYROOMS partition, and there's no option to change the drive letter. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Bro, you're a hero ! I managed to do this without any IT knowledge after my R36S with original SD card was not launching Pokemon after only few days. I even managed to get back my save. One precision though on my experience on copying the BOOT files from original SD card : I had one additional file called "autorun" that does not appear in your video. Firstly I only copied the 5 files as in your video and it did not work (black screen when turning on). Then I also copied the file autorun and it worked ! Many thanks !
Confirmed working, thanks! Two caveats from my own experience; (1) under the dual SD card setup, some save states will not transfer over will cause the system to crash if the state gets loaded. The actual save files were still preserved though, and newer save states from that point on still worked. This might have something to do with emulator updates in the later revision of ArkOS. (2) The very useful search function was also disabled by default, but that was fixed by START -> GAME COLLECTION SETTINGS -> AUTOMATIC GAME COLLECTIONS -> and then selecting ALL GAMES

Ok so did everything to get it to a single sd setup, followed every step, but i played a little on the stock SD. How do i basically copy the games on that and saves / progress and put that on the new sd? Someone pls help
IF YOU BOOT AND FIND A BLACK SCREEN TRY THIS: If using 2 SD cards, one for roms one for OS, I found that my R36S would not boot without BOTH cards ready and in the device. During the part where you delete the 4 files shown in the video, if you do not have some of the files the guy in the video has, then just delete the files you do have and replace them. LEAVE THE OTHER FILES if they are not going to be replaced. This is what worked for me, hope it helps
Hi guys I just purchased my device and after the second day it suddenly stopped working. The device starts up to the boot logo and then a blank screen nothing happens thereafter.. please help

Bios files are important system files that some emulators need to run games. Some examples are gameboy, gameboy color, and gameboy advance. These files can be found on your stock sd card in a folder labeled "BIOS" ROMs or Read Only Memory is a general term used to describe game files. Games files or Roms can also be found on the stock sd card. It important to note it is also best practice to source these games and bios files yourself on the internet as what you will find will likely be better than what is on the stock sd cards. However, if you dont want to go through the hassle of gathering those files, you can simply use the ones on your stock sd card.

Tried on my new R36S, keeps failing. Formated to ExFAT due to being a 64GB card. I noticed the ARKOS page downgraded the Image files? The video shows - Updated 9/29/23, BUT the site only shows RG351P/RG351M (Updated 05/01/2021)(OLD) So I'm not sure this video helps on the update anymore? I'm stuck once again...

FOR ANYONE LIKE ME THAT IS MISSING SOME OF THE FILES HE SAID TO DELETE: I only had 2 of those files on my stock SD card, I just copied those 2 into my new sd card and deleted the 2 that needed to be deleted, the extra 2 I had I just left and my device worked fine

Ok, i've got a problem. The easygames-partition didn't appear in the list. I can see it in the MiniToolPartition Wizard, without a letter. Then I gave it a new letter, press "apply" and close the programm. After that it seems to resetting my chosen letter to "no letter" and stays invisible. The second problem are the files in the "boot"folder. It's said to change 5 of the files but there are only 3 of them. Can anyone help me? 😢

I need help ArkOs was done updating and it said i needed to check dpad or something Basically it made me remap the whole controls and i accidentally set some of it to the wrong buttons and i dont know how to fix it
i tried doing this and now my handheld wont boot. the screen stays black with the blue light on :( also when i use 7zip on the arkos it spits out 4 new files
In another video he mentions the function button be enabled through this set up. I watched it in its entirety did I miss something or was it not mentioned?
So if I want, am I able to just copy the ROMs from the original game card to the new micro SD card? I dont want to go searching for most of those games when they are already downloaded on the old game card
You can, but some of the ROMs it comes with don't work or are weird. Or at least on mine they were. Some games wouldn't boot up. Once I replaced them with ROMS of the same games that I already had then they worked fine.

hey, i followed every steps here but my r36s won't start. It shows a black screen. i noted that the stock files were not the same as you showed in the video. i have only rg351mp-kernel and rk3326-r35s-linux the two V1 files are not here. also, for psx games, is it normal that files are not .iso?
help. I did 2 cards setup. i'v put the fat32 64in the r36, did the thing with the option and then back to the PC for the rooms. BUT there is no BOOT or EASY ROMS partitions/files!. just some other files
so im trying to use the latest version ArkOS_RG351MP_v2.0_07312024 but i keep getting a flashing curser after the first couple of reboots during the installation process. i have copied over the original boot files to the new flashed card, but still have the same flashing curser issue. i read its to do with the system looking for a second ROM card but why is it doing this if it should start up as a single slot set up?
Did you figure it out? I don’t have all his dtb files on the stock SD but moved over what I did have. I try boot it up with a single SD on the right side of the device and I get black screen and flashing red LED.

When I first got my Orange R36S one of the first things I did was remove the back sticker. I trimmed it and put it under the battery.
What is the purpose of putting it under the battery? (Just wondering)

So is there a specific reason why you'd want to install a new OS? Why not just keep the ArkOS that's already installed??
Arkos is the best OS for this device. Also the version of Arkos on the default stock sd is modified.

So if I want, am I able to just copy the ROMs from the original game card to the new micro SD card? I dont want to go searching for most of those games when they are already downloaded on the old game card
You can, but some of the ROMs it comes with don't work or are weird. Or at least on mine they were. Some games wouldn't boot up. Once I replaced them with ROMS of the same games that I already had then they worked fine.

hey, i followed every steps here but my r36s won't start. It shows a black screen. i noted that the stock files were not the same as you showed in the video. i have only rg351mp-kernel and rk3326-r35s-linux the two V1 files are not here. also, for psx games, is it normal that files are not .iso?

help. I did 2 cards setup. i'v put the fat32 64in the r36, did the thing with the option and then back to the PC for the rooms. BUT there is no BOOT or EASY ROMS partitions/files!. just some other files
I tried creating a rom folder and a bios folder but it still doesn't show any game when running
so im trying to use the latest version ArkOS_RG351MP_v2.0_07312024 but i keep getting a flashing curser after the first couple of reboots during the installation process.
i have copied over the original boot files to the new flashed card, but still have the same flashing curser issue. i read its to do with the system looking for a second ROM card but why is it doing this if it should start up as a single slot set up?
Did you figure it out? I don’t have all his dtb files on the stock SD but moved over what I did have. I try boot it up with a single SD on the right side of the device and I get black screen and flashing red LED.

hey bro the easyroms partition only has 752mb space. but i wanna make use of all the the 112 gb thats unallocated for my roms too. what do i do javi?
When you boot it up it should expand that partition for you and youll be able to use it for your games
