Great Video! But how DO you connect the blue tooth controllers? Any help with this would be so much appreciated. I have a 8bit do SN30 Pro controller. Id love to make this a home console for my retro games.
Under the controller settings (press start on the main home screen) there is a "pair a Bluetooth controller" option. Then you put your controller into pairing mode, and it should automatically detect and connect to your controller. Then you will probably need to configure the controller, using the option in the controllers menu to do that. After that you can choose which controller is the primary controller, the built-in retro pad, or the new Bluetooth controller. If you have multiple bluetooth controllers you can choose which is p1 p2, etc. After that it should work as expected. Good luck!
Would you say that this RG353PS is more ergonomic than the newest 405 model? To me I have the 353M and I love the way it feels and looks but notice its not that ergonomic, holding it gets uncomfortable after awhile :(
Definitely. The RG353PS is one of my most comfortable handhelds. I've been playing it this last week and I've come to really appreciate its shape and size, I can play for hours comfortably.
Hmmm. Not sure tbh. I know lots of these play ZX Spectrum (that's what you mean by speccy, right?), but I don't often see handhelds with those roms included. You might need to add them yourself.

Yes, you can transfer both your save files and your save states, just grab the SD card from your previous device, do a search for the game name and then you will find all of the files with that name, grab the save file and the states, and make sure you put them in the proper place on the new SD card. Also make sure the files have the same names as the ROMs on your new device. But it's totally possible, I do this all the time, transferring saves between devices.

I ordered one and I'm new to this. My goal is mainly to fill it with best games for each system - especially those systems that run flawlessly or mostly flawlessly, up to N64 or some select Dreamcast/PSP games - and play them (I bought 32GB and 256GB SanDisk card and a card reader). Originally people said to also install ArkOS but I'm not sure, it seems just getting games might be enough. Especially if autosave can be activated in stock as well. Any legally acceptable advice on where to get the "top100" or similar game packs of best games?:D I know about RetroGameCorps video guide for ArkOS and games so I might be using appropriate parts of that.
Hey, I’m trying to play Kuon and Eternal darkness. Ps2/ps3 is there a plug and play that I can get both on. I want to get a retro I can plug in and the only one that seemed okay for me was Powkiddy Y6. Help please, thank you.
The Problem with this one is that it's only €10 cheaper than the RG353P which also supports Android. So i wonder: What were they thinking? They kill their own products. It's €180 on Amazon. And if it's on Amazon, most people won't buy it from Asian stores.
@@ondrej1893 You can do that, of course. Please wait 6 Weeks for shipping, at least here in Germany. And if you don't add Tax+Shipping it's not the "real" price.
I love to get something like this but I don't have a computer nor the knowledge to do the downloading of stuff to an SD card. If I get the console is there someone somewhere that I can go to and ask to load stuff onto an SD card?
I agree with you on the button colours Mr. Dweeb - those Anbernic coloured buttons that they've started using look absolutely garish and horrible! I've got an RP3+ in the European SNES colourisation, and that level of saturation is just about acceptable, though it helps that the buttons are small. For me, my favourite colour/saturation balance for controller buttons, is the original Playstation controller, recently copied by the AYA Neo Air Plus (I was set on getting the Intel i3 variant, until they doubled the price).
I'd really like one of these for PS1 games, with the 4:3 aspect ratio, stacked shoulders, analog sticks, and decent performance. I've got an RP3+, Miyoo Mini, and Anbernic 280V. Unfortunately, due to unexpected work troubles, and having bought 5 guitars in the past 5 months, I just can't afford to buy any non-essentials right now haha...
On the Anbernic shop it says this...16G (no game) ; 16G+128G (compatible 4519 games) ; 16G+256G (compatible 4318 games. Very confusing. So does this mean no games unless you add a sd card of 128gb? And it has less games with a 256gb card?? Or do they mean they add 4318 games to the 4519 games if you order it with a 256gb card?? Anyone knows?
Yeah, 16g means you'll be adding your own SD card with games. And I'm assuming the 256g version just has more higher end 3d games, which are bigger in file size, so there will be less of them (and maybe less of the lower end 3d games, which are smaller in file size so they can fit more). If you contact Anbernic they'll give you the game lists.
@@TechDweeb Okay, i might contact them but i hope both of the sd cards have mario games on them. I have the rg35xx with 64 sd and it has no mario game on it.
I contacted them but no mail yet. I used the mail adres and not the ticket option. If i don't receive an answer back next week i will try the ticket option.
I received this with the 256gb one and i would not recommend this card with the higher end games. i would opt for the 128gb one. the higher end games don't run that well. Tomb Raider 1 or 2 (not tried the other ones) don't load after the boot up screen. i paid more for the sd card to have less that run. I think i will contact them to send the 256 card back to have the 128 card to have more games that run good.
I tried evey tweak and different emulator but the ps1 games won't work. The same roms do work on my cheaper rg35xx and some roms for psx that won't work on that device at first i simlpy just set the video to "fast" and they do work. The menu on the rg35xx is also easier without having the hassle of the retroarch witch is a bore with the small box letters. I like the design of the rg353ps but it is just not as capable what the cheaper rg35xx does. A real shame as i like the design if the rg353ps as you mentioned. As a machine for 16 bit games it's good but nothing beyond that. The same insides of a rg35xx in a rg353ps would be great! Or do i have faulty one??
Do you think you could do a guide on how to set one of these devices up for a friend/sibling/family member as a gift? I’m pretty sure I could set one up but don’t know if there’s a way to make it fool proof or lock the menus so they couldn’t accidentally fiddle with things.
YES ACTUALLY! It's super easy. In the system settings there's a "UI Mode" that you can set to "Kiosk Mode". This will make it impossible to mess with the settings in the frontend, you'll just be able to do regular game stuff like search and launch your games. You'll need to type a special code to exit from Kiosk mode (AAABA). This is great for gifts or sharing a device with a kid or whatever.
That's a tough call. I think this is the superior device in lots of ways, it's what I would personally choose, but it's hard to argue with that screen on the x55.

@@TechDweeb as far as i know yes it is! Thanks for your reply and good luck with the channel!👍🏼
Love my 353ps. This plus my steam deck are all I need
Solid combo!
The Bluetooth doesn't sync with my Xbox controller or can't find the controller. Can I connect it using a direct cable instead of Bluetooth?
Which ist better choice,rg353ps or rg35xx h?
Exactly my question :D
Is that your real voice 🤣🤣I think you record it with a peg on your nose myself. lol
Love you bro
U too bro
Hey, I’m trying to play Kuon and Eternal darkness. Ps2/ps3 is there a plug and play that I can get both on. I want to get a retro I can plug in and the only one that seemed okay for me was Powkiddy Y6. Help please, thank you.
The Problem with this one is that it's only €10 cheaper than the RG353P which also supports Android. So i wonder: What were they thinking? They kill their own products. It's €180 on Amazon. And if it's on Amazon, most people won't buy it from Asian stores.
I ordered from Anbernic and the preorder price without tax+shipping was 87 USD.
@@ondrej1893 You can do that, of course. Please wait 6 Weeks for shipping, at least here in Germany. And if you don't add Tax+Shipping it's not the "real" price.
@@wizzel22 never paid any tax from anbernic and shipping is around 12 bucks for europe and usually they arrive in under 3 weeks
Anblernic?
Amblernic
does it do vectrex? that is the real question here
I love to get something like this but I don't have a computer nor the knowledge to do the downloading of stuff to an SD card. If I get the console is there someone somewhere that I can go to and ask to load stuff onto an SD card?
Anyone know how to save games to “favorites”?
Hold X with the game highlighted in the game list.
I got a sf2000 for 16 € with 2 controllers, a battery and a sd card. dont understand how a 150 dollar handheld decides to come without.
On the Anbernic shop it says this...16G (no game) ; 16G+128G (compatible 4519 games) ;
16G+256G (compatible 4318 games.
Mine won't load past the boot logo
Very weird. Sounds like a corrupted SD card.
@@TechDweeb maybe, i bought a new one to try when I get home from work
Mine said it gad 9000 plus games and it only had 4500 .
Mine had no mario games and no donkey kong country for snes
Yeah I noticed that too! Not a big deal for me, I'm planning on replacing the ROM library, but that was a little bit weird huh?
can it play all monster hunter series in PSP smoothly?
This or X55 🤔
That's a tough call. I think this is the superior device in lots of ways, it's what I would personally choose, but it's hard to argue with that screen on the x55.
There’s to many of these handhelds coming out it’s difficult to keep up with .
So true.
I forgot to comment on this one for the algorithm.
So THAT'S why it was a flop!
Why does he call it Anblernic instead of Anbernic?
super RUclipsr 🎉🎉🎉
Isn't it ANBERNIC? Is this one (or the other) a knock off of the other (or this one)?
You missed the schtick/gag.
@@strikelight Definitely did. I thought it was a joke in the introduction. When he kept saying it, I started to wonder if he really knew the difference ha ha ha!
Its powerful enough to play gta vice city its worth buying
Mary-oh! 😂
Amblernic... Is there an inside joke here?
I would NEVER joke around. Nope not me.
Huh, this was one I tried and just did not like at all, ended up returning it
Why not?
@Echoherbs I thought it was a bit too big to just shove in my pocket and not worry about it I like the other anbernic designs better
