Good attitude to have to it all Richy. I ran into something similar many, many years ago going through customs., they were training newbies. I wasn't as patient back then, and probably less smart and locked horns with her challenges and bad manner..
Because of this I was carted off into a back room where their trainee males went the full Monty search on me, and I mean FULL.... Horrendous. I came away from that more wiser I hope, and in future said, I'd just play the game , smile and let
them get on with their training. Its funny now looking back ( early 1980s). But wasn't at the time. Happy travels Richy , from Kampot... Cambodia ( I saw your film from here months back and it helped swing it for me)

Hi Richy. Some things belong in the kitchen, and not on a customer's table. An inedible chicken meal experience I had came in Malaysia. I branched out and went for chicken and tofu soup. It turned out to be chicken's feet and squares of foul-tasting tofu in a grease-topped broth. I'd have been better off going for the chicken's beak. All the best for Thailand.

I'd echo the advice to seek medical attention, you might have an amoebic problem they are rife in the Asian subcontinent, my ex wasn't right for a few months after being in India and Nepal, she had contracted an amoebic infection which was sorted out in Bangkok in a few days, her transformation from lethargic and feeling generally 'under par' to her nagging, vibrant self was spectacular.
As regards Immigration, as mentioned above, they're under no obligation to permit any non native, yet the enforcement of the rules does seem to depend on the particular official, but you seem to have been unlucky but it's all a part of the learning experience Richy. I think you did well in the circumstances, you kept calm, rolled with their demands, enjoy Bangkok, I arrive on Thursday morning next week, hopefully my arrival will be smoother than yours was 😊.

@@ParkinsonRaw thanks Richy, I'm really buzzing about getting back mate, but I hope for a smooth trip, I actually really dislike the actual travel hassles these days, once I'm settled in my hotel in Sukhumvit, I'm out and about filming for the new channel, I'll be much happier.
I feel you should look into the amoeba angle, amoebic health issues are common from the Asian subcontinent especially from some of the less sanitary situations you found yourself in, like falling into flooded holes in Pakistan etc... even the dengue can linger on for a while. Seeking professional medical advice in Thailand is easy and affordable, that would be my advice.

I can't believe immigration did that, especially when there are thousands of people doing what you are doing, it doesn't make one ounce of Sense, a lot of people would "play it by ear" when they get over there, as things change so quickly. @@ParkinsonRaw it's too crowded and noisy for me. Rent a ticket is a cool service. Usually less than $2. Or when I lived in Philippines I would book flights on cebu Pacific all the time even if I didn't know if I was going to make the trip because they would do automatic refund if you didn't check into the flight. Not sure if that has changed in years since, but I had flights booked at least once a month. Richie, long time watcher enjoy your videos. I'm no doctor but I've been listening to you and watching you recently and I think you should go to a good doctor or local hospital as soon as you can as I feel there is something wrong with your health. I think you do too but are suppressing this and trying to shrug it off. My best guest is got to do with dengue fever which you got. Lot of people get their spleen out or at least take medication for a long time after this. I'm not sure what's the situation afterwards in your case?. Your a very fit man but looking at you compared to videos from before I can see the change. You look more guant and thinner.
Like I say I'm no doctor or authority of any class but I urge you to get a full check-up and mention the dengue. Maybe it's nothing to do with that but you've been alluding for a while your not right so please don't ignore it. Might be the best money you've ever spent.

Haha I show it mate, I’ve done this trip more times than I can remember. I said in the vlog I understand the rules but in nearly 20 years I’ve never had this problem. I was very respectful as always and I did as they asked.

not surprised you had problems at immigration ricky because your frequent vistor to thailand they will ask alot more questions and onward ticket out of thailand is a must if you go there regular especially with all the new visas they have brought in recently.you can only come to thailand 3 times in a 6 month period so if you go regular with no visa they will ask alot more questions .i allways booked a return ticket because of this and i only come to thailand 2 times a year.

It’s amazing watching your channel. All the horror stories of people doing Thai visa runs I’ve heard over the years are absolutely true! It’s the very same countries that you do yours! 😂😂😂

If you mean by this that I’m a long term budget traveler Tim then yes but I certainly don’t scrimp on things if it interest’s me. I do a lot of prices because people appreciate that as some have never been to the places I go to and they want to know how much things cost.

@@ParkinsonRaw yes I like information too, my wording meant you like me budget traveller and its good to have idea on prices. Your just talking cost like when one tracks dailybexpenditures.
In todays Economy Rivky one has to Budget and adjust expenditure daily to manage a limited budget. We always get hit with a added cost not expected on long term travels. Unlike holiday traveller who can work few hours overtime when back to work to cover overexpenditure
People think a person travelling full time is same as a holiday petson. Hugh difference like you not paying £12 for a temple when you andvI been to 100's.
I make notes on things as saves getting badly ripped off. One always gets a little ripped off sonetimes which is normal as nobody really knows the true local price on everything. Two tiered pricing common and those nasty city taxes are poping up in Europe and eleswhere where. Bratislava old town tax @€3.5 person..
