You dont, they are making this 10times harder than it really is. It's very simple make sure the bottom row is level, just use a Brad nail and nail the 4 corners, install the rest and you only really need to nail the bottom, middle and top. Use rubber hammer to pound in place.

Do you need to leave a 3/8 space for expansion? Or can you butt it right up to the walls on the ceiling?
Because of the way I did my walls I left about that

If there is paneling on the wall how to prepare it so you can use planks
Rip the paneling down and install drywall. Then install the laminate to the drywall.

My walls dont have studs, its plasterboard held on by dot and dab over breeze block, can this still be done?
if you're using the 7mm, you can still put it on.
How do you account for expansion gap between the floor and the wall on the base row?
Trim I'd assume or shim it
What do I use for outside wall edge?
My wall is concrete how to do?
That's dum small peace on the top when the small piece should have been at the bottom so the trim could cover it
Can that be applied onto a concrete floor or wall without drywall?
probably with liquid nails or adhesive

Why cut off the tongue of every 2nd row boards? Seems that would be needed to lock them in place. Maybe not an issue for wall install? Thx.
Because youre gluing and nailing everything. Normally you'd have to drive the short sides together after clicking the long side. No need for that in this application, so the short sides will just lay nicely on top of each other.

Yes
Really need a gap for expansion if you glue and nail??
Yes. Just like tile(backsplash). Wood and tile etc all expand with humidity etc
...Both will pop up or break if expansion room wasn't left

Silicone is $6 a tube .... each row will use 1 tube ..... I would use liquid nails , $2 a tube
