- As I was asked if I could show how I learned how to do growl screams, I thought I'd give it a try and share how I personally got there and what I find really important to do and learn to become better at it.
I wouldn't call this a tutorial as I am not a vocal coach, but I hope this is somehow helpful for you and gives you a place to start and try it out. Also I feel like seeing what happens in the body with your core muscles would have been really insightful for me when I first started, so I hope it helps someone :)
Let me know if you'd like to see some more in depth explanations or if it worked for you!

Thank you :)
Trees! Makes me think of Fair to Midland's Dance of the Manatee, which is the song that really helped me find my scream back in 2007 or whatever it was.
Helpful video, nicely done!
Thank you! I didn't know this band or the song but I just checked it out and it sounds super interesting.
Subbed! Thank you. Love the video!
Thank you! :)
So, false cord screams or vocal fry screams? Sounds like vocal fry. Remind this video: ruclips.net/video/Qv5t2ITnW1s/видео.html
As I usually do quite high false cord screams they might sound like fry screams. But I can assure you that it feels very different when I do them.
@@itzanowski You know better how it feels and what you do exactly. However, from what I heard and my own experience it seems to me that what you done was fry scream. As I understand, at the moment I am not able to do fry growls but can do grunts/growls using false cords. Maybe I am wrong and I doing it not using false cords or not only them but it is really not vocal fry technique.
