Thanks for the tips man! I don’t own one of these since the whole kit is out of my price range. But I still found this video useful for complementing a review video of this drone for those who like what they see. I hope the next iteration of this drone will not have the landing legs as part of the battery itself. Ken Heron’s vid amply demonstrated this drone has poor tolerance for rough landings. Keep up the good work, man!
Thanks Opium Den! Hopefully the price will lower over time, I'm hoping that they'll introduce a budget version with less sensors and lighter! And of course cheaper too!
Awesome flight Sir. Man that was actually pretty damn good piloting brother. Keep up the good job. Thanks soo much for sharing buddy. I also have the Dji FPV drone and i am loving 🥰 the sports mode. You just got a big like 👍 and thumbs up 👍. Also a big fan and a Big Supporter here. Just subbed to your channel. Would appreciate love and support Sir. Thanks for all you do and please keep flying.
May be a checklist before takeoff like this! DJI FPV Battery Charge full. DJI FPV Props good condition fix and lock. DJI FPV Flight Mode Normal. DJI FPV GPS Satellites at least 11. DJI FPV Motor Sound Ok. DJI FPV 25% RTH (go home).
Great video for beginning. Please repeat a similar video and do it with the motion controller for the FPV Drone. It is a trip. Think your viewers will appreciate much. Good job again
That's a characteristic that is typical of a real airplane. When you Bank, the aircraft will begin to lose altitude. Slightly pull up on the stick as you start to bank.
I've since crashed this drone hard onto a farmers field. The damage was bad including a broken arm . All repaired but it initially looked a write off . Probably because of all the mud and the shell was just shattered. Looked worse than it was .
The fpv date DJI drone has a glitch in the controller software from the factory after 8 flights the drone will fly away because it loses signal it's the controller you have to have them reload the down download the software
Thank you for your helpful tutorials 👍🏻 but wondering can we fly this Dji fpv from inside the car without loosing signal??? And is this drone can fly when it’s raining please help???
9:16 Great tips but are you sure this "altitude loss" is not just a result of turning your quad while it's pitched forward? If you're moving forward in manual mode, it means your quad is pitched forward. So if you turn, you're not turning relative to the ground; you're turning relative to your quad's pitch axis. That will naturally result in a loss of altitude. The answer is to pitch back slightly every time you turn. Another way to think about it is: If you pitch your quad forward and then turn it all the way around--180 degrees--now your thrust is pushing you directly into the floor. If you can't picture it, use your phone like it's a drone for the visual aid. Now think about that same effect, but only with a 90 degree turn. You might not be flying directly into the floor, but you'll be essentially sideways, and you'll crater into the ground regardless. Now think about a 45 degree turn. Your thrust is still keeping you in the air, but not as much as it did before the turn.
looking to buy the DJI FPV. been flying camera drones since the DJI fc40. looking forward to this one for sure. question for you, the spotlight at 7:00 of the video. is that part of the airframe or is that something you added aftermarket?
The battery % is based on voltage, and the time is based on voltage compared to how you're flying. It doesn't matter if you start with 100% or 20% battery.
Sitting, for me, is the best tip. I just got my drone today, and on the second flight I almost fell down from tilting my head. I got really dizzy after the third flight then got my folding chair out. Vast improvement.
The drone should know when to RTH when the battery is low. It would estimate how far you are and will calculate how much battery charge it will need to RTH. So you won’t lose it. Unless of course you stop the RTH like Dustin Dunnhill doing a range test. At least he knows where to land and know when it’s time to come home. 😂
I have been a phantom pilot for many years. I bought my FPV 2 weeks ago. I have been flying in normal mode on the drone and simulating sport mode for the time being.
Just getting in to this and doing some research, great video and your tips! If you get the Fly More kit how much memory space do you figure one would need if flying on all 3 batteries from full charge? Trying to figure that piece out before I order things.
I’ve had mine for about 2 weeks now. First drone. Just live in the sim buddy. I’ve been putting three batteries a day through the drone and countless hours in the sim. Already hitting gaps, flips, rolls, and my rubik cube is getting clean. Manual really is the way to fly.
Ash dropping the knowledge, thanks mate, all great tips but the foam replacement is a must imo, the standard foam is super uncomfortable and has terrible light leak, after flying 3 batteries my face looks like I've been slapped several times 😂
Thanks Ash. All tips are very useful. Especially the 'low light' tip. I was filming by some cliffs at dusk and lost video feed. I thought I had lost the drone. RTH kicked in and all was good. Lesson learned. :)
imo it drops when banking because its arms generate lift with speed, and when you do 180 turn, that lift disappears completely requiring extra throttle to maintain height
That's correct, we know why it's doing it, we're just not sure why DJI have allowed it to drop when flying in Normal and Sports mode, the firmware should compensate to avoid the Mavic-type of drone operator from getting into trouble.
@@Droning-ON im not sure with limited experience of the normal mode on this drone but for normal/sports mode where the drone is hovering automatically, a constant feedback system is in work to keep the drone in place, so a loss of lift is no different from a sudden gust blowing it some random direction, if what youre saying is happening there might be deeper issues or maybe just some weird parameters they messed up
@@deadlyk1tten the Mavic Air 2 or Mavic 2 in Sports mode doesn't suffer from the same to such an extent, and this isn't due to gusting, so this is definitely something which can be solved by DJI by tweaking the flight parameters and boosting throttle during a turn to ensure that altitude hold is maintained.
@@Droning-ON normally the throttle would automatically increase to compensate, cause the feedback would cause that otherwise even normal hovering is simply impossible as dynamically in the feedback loop the throttle change is done like tens of times every second, to compensate every direction and change accordingly unless theres some systematic flaw or intentionally setting (that ended up the quad behaving unexpectedly)
Not really, that would make it heavier and a shorter flight time, the only way to get longer flight time is to reduce it's weight, I'd suggest that they produce a version without obstacle avoidance sensors/cameras.
Thanks for the tips man! I don’t own one of these since the whole kit is out of my price range. But I still found this video useful for complementing a review video of this drone for those who like what they see.

Why don’t you just have a micro sd card in the goggles what’s the point of having it in the drone
Drone films in 4k not the googles (1080)

Im not sure that my sticks are good as i dont know the right settings, could you please make a video off the settings of the sticks😅
"Motor sound": plug an earbud, It gets more immersive; you'd be able to hear your quad's motors wherever it goes.
You can also capture Audio on the Drone itself. You don't need the goggles for that.
I believe the SD card in the drone also captures audio, it's not just the one on the goggles.
Correct
That's very odd because mine doesn't capture audio to the drone's SD card, perhaps this is a setting in the menu system!
There is a setting in the goggles under camera that turns on and off the audio in the drone
Good tips Ash👌
Thanks dude, really appreciate it!

Why not 18 tips?...LOL
I do get audio from my sd card in my drone per the goggle settings

Thanks so much for the tips I have been sick and I just got one for Christmas

thank you for the tips!! using the drone for my media business to get some cool real estate shots

never pay attention to the estimated time on the battery, look at the percentage left before its out. it will auto land itself if it gets too low
Best tip is the one where your turning to go up a little bit higher when you bang to the right or the left
