It always puts a smile on my face when you've uploaded a new video as they're fun and also inspiring. You must be the only youtuber who uploads photography videos and likes to dance too. Nice to see a great photographer not rabbit on about squarespace, 7 essential tips every photographer must use or cooking dinner in the back of a van 😁
Great place Courtney, I need a magic box :) I love watching your channel, the places are simple, the shots are fantastic too, many photographers would pass these areas by without a look back, but you make the photos stand out, and quite thought provoking, ps:your dancing is just the best. Thank you.
I recently discovered your videos and they are so much fun to watch. I really enjoy your sense of humour and the way you present your thoughts on photography. Thanks for sharing your content!
You are both sweet and funny and giving inspiration, I struggle with find finding interesting objekt in the forest. Perhaps not artistic enough or lack of fantazy, Thanks for your video
You were talkin about getting to know a place. Reminded me of a quote from Peter Shaffer: [L]ife is only comprehensible through a thousand local gods... spirits of certain trees, of certain curves of brick walls, of certain fish and chip shops if you like. And slate roofs, and frowns in people, and slouches... I'd say to them, "Worship all you can see, and more will appear...
You are a HUGE refreshing breath of RUclips Creator air sister! I love the way you dance, quit your photography channel and start one on dancing! Hahahaha! Of course I'm just kidding, you're a great photographer and your vlogs are, as I mentioned in the first sentence - A Huge refreshing breath of RUclips Creator air!!
Hi Courtney, I wasn’t going to say it, but I’m going to say it 😊this is the most innovative and enthralling photography Vlog I have watched, loved it, superb production, professionally put together, nice boots too 👍😎
Oh dear....funny :) :P I always get a laugh out of your videos when something untoward happens or you get hypo :) You'll have to teach me that trick with the old shoes and bag. Great way to get a new pair!!! :P I had a blowout a few days back as well. My right shoe literally came apart, but I managed to limp back home. Luckily, I had a new pair sitting back at home, so I didn't have to go out and buy another pair. And, poor eensy-weensy wouldn't have hurt!!! You should've grabbed a leaf and just brushed it off :)
Once again, another fantastic video Courtney! Your presenting style raises your content above many other creators I follow on RUclips. And then, of course, there's your fab images. Keep them coming!
I run photo tours in iceland and it took 3 visits to an ice cave to understand them and form the photographer / subject relationship. Another great photography message..
Hey lady, I'm here shaking a bag with my old beat up boots for 3 hours and no new boots so far! I think I've got scammed! :DDDD Congratulations on another great video! Thanks! :)))
A fantastic video! I always get jealous when you go to the Forest of Dean. It is so pretty with all the ferns! I feel like I could get lost in there for a whole day trying to find compositions!
I love how you said you like to build a relationship with a location and get to know it. That’s what I’ve been doing with Death Valley going back to the 1980’s. Some people don’t see the beauty around themselves until it’s revealed through repeated visits.
Finally, someone who dances as, well, uniquely as me. Best from a very old Brit in Mexico using my D750 for gainful employment. Keep up the good work; your channel is refreshingly different, cheers, Tom
You are an amazing story telling, love your vlog, and as a photographer my self, I got a connection with your videos, showing not only the good parts of the journey but also the bad ones, and that is what happens to everyone in a search of a good shot.
Thank you for your very nice produced videos Courtney! I must say, you are also fortunate to have such beautiful landscapes near you. Keep up the great work!
Thanks again Courtney for sharing your experience with great results... your delightful presentation excited me to always look forward to your video's.....the colour of the forest is beautiful & gives great pics... just love your work.... cheers from Australia 😀❤️
Thank you Robert as always for your kind comments! It was a beautiful part of Forest that I can't wait to photograph again sometime. Have a lovely week.
There were a lot of spider and beetles in the ferns and long grass there. That was the only one that thought to bother me while I was filming ha. Can't say I enjoyed the company! Thank you Keith, appreciated!
@@CourtneyVictoria I've never been any good at forest photography, I really need to give it another go. Up here in northern Scotland there are plenty of trees, I'm inspired to go out now
Dear Courtney, I'm an old-school man (61) who finds your vlog very refreshing and entertaining. I have D750 also and have enjoyed it for five years. Working as an IT professional a couple of weeks ago, I spent a weekend with a few friends from the Nikon Czech Republic at a Wildlife photo workshop and tried the Nikon Z7II, Z9 and a lot of expensive lenses. I don't need it, but I want it, it is such funny autofocus! I'd rather stay with my D750 and save a lot of money now. How do You Clean a chip? Thank you for the light in my dark forest :-)
I'm so in love with you and you silly magic shoes, weird banana eating, love for forest and everything else! You're probably the only other photographer beside Peter McKinnon whose photography and the videos feel so therapeutic. Thank you for the huge inspiration. I'm also trying to get into photography. Hopefully I'll be able to afford a camera in a few months. I wish you all the very best!
Well done on another great video, I agree forests do recharge flat photography batteries, I liked your comps they just needed light. Have you ever given ICM a go it adds a new dimension to tree shots. Your new shoes look fab, and who eats a banana from the middle
It was a very flat day, there was a little light to begin with but it disappeared very quickly. An excuse to return! I haven't really, but it is something I've considered trying sometime as I do enjoy seeing other photographers ICM images. Thank you David! No comment on the banana haha!
I really like the image 'A Little Light'with has the gradient of light. Woodland photography for me is one of the hardest to achieve a good result as finding a composition is so difficult. I watch Gavin Hardcastle for inspiration on finding scenes to shoot, then I realise I am not in British Columbine ! Lol PS the boots look smart !
It isn't the easiest subject in photography for sure! I think if I didn't enjoy exploring forests so much it would definitely cause me a bigger headache than it does ha! I feel that, you get inspiration from another photographer only to realise you don't live anywhere near that sort of location. Add it to the travel bucket list!
It's always a highlight of my day when a new video of yours comes across my feed. Your photographic process is inspiring and reminds me that being patient is not a bad thing. I just wish our forests here in coastal So.California were as rich and thick with color this time of year, but we do have other options I guess :) Thanks Courtney, and congrats on your new hiking shoes.
Thank you, Art. Learning patience in photography isn't always easy, but it can definitely take the pressure off a little bit in getting those 'great shots.' The shoes are wonderfully comfortable, but it's a shame they're not bright orange ha.
@@CourtneyVictoria I think the lesson that I try to remind myself is that patience starts with eliminating time constraints and enjoy being in the location and take it all in without having to worry about getting a shot before a certain departure time. Something I suffer from when I am cramming in several locations to explore in a few days. My photographic road trips takes me across states where I have to cover all in a week or so leaving me only a couple hours per shooting location...trying to do too much in a short time I guess. The key I feel is to just pick ONE promising location and spend as many days possible. Yeah I noticed you toned down the shoe color, haha. Hey but you're more stealth now 😉
Another great video! The second one I’ve watch tonight that focuses on scouting trips. I just watch Joshua Peg latest upload about scouting too. Something I really should try to do instead of looking for the ‘great shot’ all the time. Keep up the great work 👍
I find looking for 'great shots' constantly is quite tiring and can be stressful. Some days focusing on scouting and exploring just takes that pressure off a little. Thanks Steven, have a great week.
New to the channel. I love your videos. They're both informative and entertaining! Also, as a former teacher, I feel a bit of a tie in that regard. Looking forward to more videos!
Brilliant video, I have only just come across your channel and have already binge watched around ten videos. I have one question though, how on earth do you find your way back to your car? I would get so lost..
Congrats on the new boots, was quite funny the way you introduced them. Hope you can get your mic fixed soon, which model was it? Or what are you going to get? (RUclips fans might be able to help) Hope the spider didn't bite, or if he did, you are enjoying the new sipderman super powers 😉 And I'm sorry but that's not! How you eat a banana! Haha. As always great photos! I'm back from my trip in Vienna, got some photos but totally different style so not sure you'll like them. Oh and your dancing skills improved a lot, or was it the spider bite? 😉
Thank you. I didn't add any blur or the orton effect into any of these image in this video. I do like the orton effect every now and again though, adds a little bit of an ethereal feel.
Hi Courtney, I have a similar pair of boots to the pair you had before you put them into that purple bag, Tell me , where can I buy one of those bags please. LOL ( 😆)
The way you ate that banana! UTTER CHAOS! This is what I am here for
CHAOS! YES!
I loved the spider attack! :)
I didn't ha! Either the same spider or a suspiciously similar one decided to crawl into my camera bag and I took it home!
@@CourtneyVictoria New pet? Should take some macro shots of it!

love your energy Courtney
The darkness of the forest adds to the enchantment and allure of discovery.
You're smart, creative, beautiful and most of all your enthusiasm is infectious. Always a pleasure to watch your wonderful videos.
I clicked on for the photography, stayed for the groovy moves.
I recently, and I do mean recently discovered your videos. You put a smile on my face every time I watch your work. Thank you.
I loved the little dance at the end!
I love the fact that you stick with a D750 rather than feeling compelled to have the “latest and greatest”. Photos are beautiful.
Great compositions, envious of your proximity to such a swathe of forestry. Also, lol @ the spider
