Love the video! After spending time just looking at the moss covered tree, ‘Branching Out’ which is beautiful, I seem to see ‘A hard life’ due to all the gnarly branches. Anyway, learning a lot through your videos. 👏
I like your casual seemingly effortless way you approach your vlogs, not withstanding chasing fog... you really do need those retractable dog leashes to bring that fog back to you rather than chasing it all day. The woodlands were beautiful with that fog. Mature forests like that with the open space, the deciduous trees are beautiful. I'm up in the northern end of the boreal forest, so it's mostly conifers here, though there are some poplar and a few birch but very small trees with the growing season at this latitude. We only get yellow and brownish orange, never any good reds in our fall colours. Though we do get ice fog in the winter when it gets cold enough and the occasional sun dogs in winter and rainbows in the middle of the night in summer.
Amazing Images :-). I had nearly the same conditions on may last boat trip this year on our river at the frist of November. With greetings from lower Bavaria.

Hi, nothing like a brisk hike in the woods on a foggy day. Nice work you posted here, it shows that a DSLR and lenses some considered 'antiques' can get the job done. Good idea about wearing overboots out there. Better to have them on than hiking in the woods with soaking wet boots!

Loved your late autumn woodland stuff CV, especially your silver birch shots. I live in Ross-on-Wye which is just on the edge of the forest so I can get into the thick of it in no time at all; which I may well try to do tomorrow. And the forecast for warmer tomorrow which create some seriously good misty conditions..

Yay! A new video. 😃 What a great way to start my day. I'm envious of how tidy your forests are. Most of the forests here in the midwest USA are tangled with a lot of undergrowth. It makes finding a good shot quite the challenge, but it is one I welcome. Keep up the great work.
The forest here is quite vast and there are definitely some areas that are quite chaotic! Those busy areas aren't the easiest to photograph, but the challenge can be fun. Thanks Jay!

Thanks Lisa! As you can imagine I was extremely thrilled to find that spot! My first visit was cut short by some boar passing through that I didn't want to disturb, so I'm glad I was able to go back and in some great conditions!

Awesome video Victoria. Great conditions but you still have to work to get great photos and you nailed it. Hard to pick a favorite but Late Autumn would probably be my pick. I could see that framed and hanging in a log cabin above the fireplace, and admiring it while sharing a bottle of wine with my wife. Don't change a thing about your videos. Love the info and the style!
I was thinking that trying a low angle shot might have given you more separation between the tree trunks. Or at least an unusual composition. I love that area and the fog. Very cool.
Thanks for posting! I graduated with a BA(Hons) Photography degree back in 2020 and have probably picked my camera up about 5 times since graduating. I've promised myself I'll pick it back up in the new year and get shooting again (and hopefully upload to RUclips myself). This video was just what I needed to get inspired again, so thank you. The gnarly tree is my favorite shot this week. Is that one of Karin's beanies from Adam Gibbs that I see perched atop your lovely noggin?
It's a hat made by my mother haha! She knitted a new Winter hat for me which was lovely of her. The colours are very Autumnal!
