    The tutorial is partially incorrect. If you notice, the section view is longer than the part actually is. This is because the section tool is sectioning along the 'jogged' line, adding to the length. To fix this, you need to set the 'jogged' line to "Construction" so that SW knows to not actually draw the length of that line. :)

    Do you notice that the sectioned view is longer than the view it is projected from? Why? Bug in the program? It did the same thing to a similar drawing I am working on.

    The section view is longer because SolidWorks flattens the jog line and includes it's angled view (sideways through the assembly in my case) into the middle of your section view...it creates interesting and useless results if you want a simply top-down view at differing depths, for example.

    Also, the linetype for the section line is incorrect on the drawing. It shows up as a solid thin line.

    This process is very clunky...
