I love watching movies and some tv shows. But the worst part about it is finding something to watch. I’ve discovered at least 5 movies from this channel and probably 10 total from channels like this one. I love these ! Thank you!
I love movies/stories where two people of two different worlds fall in love and then eventually unite their worlds through some kind of breakthrough. I know it sounds like some kind of cheesy love story at first, but damn, love truly does conquer all.
For anyone wondering, "Wow, this is such a cool concept. I wonder if there's an anime version of this.", check out "Patema Inverted". Same concept, two gravities. I've only skimmed the movie so you be the judge if it's good but the visuals are amazing.

The movie is about perspective. You are told at the start that the "up top" and "down below" is separated and different, but as it goes on you start to realise that "up top" and "down below" is no different from the other. The full movie is very good, I recommend watching it.

I was always amazed this movie didn't get more attention. Yeah, it's cheesy, but there are moments that are unforgettable. I've shown people the "falling between worlds" scene many times. it's jaw dropping. If nothing else, that whole segment deserved some recognition. It's also unjustified to criticize it for its scientific inaccuracies. Right at the beginning they back out and describe a reality with different physics as a given. In fact it covers its bases on that account far better than nearly all movies in the sci fi genre that we consume unquestioningly. Christopher Nolan's Interstellar being the WORST example. THAT one stars out screaming at you that it's hard SF, and invoking NASA, and by the end it's got the physics of a bad Stargate episode. He actually misinformed millions of people about what black holes are while pretending expertise. Any time Nolan touches sci fi concepts he fails pretty badly, and very few people call him on it.
No one knows who performs the "Falling Down" song in the end credits. The song details do not appear on the end credits. It is a complete mystery that no one has been able to solve.

@@crawfish9042 still doesnt make sense as in nigeria the power of the north is upheld by the state. In this world people from north cant force down people to do anything, the police or military of the north will not be able to extract the resources
The idea that two planets could exist so close to each other with a physical gravitational dividing line is physically and scientifically impossible. If this was real life, the two planets would have collided due to the gravitational forces between them. This would also disrupt the orbital patters of the planets.
At last someone recapped this, I actually didn't finished this and never got to know the title since I was watching this on a bus, the law of things burning when one matter from another planet to the other is absurd, we actually see some Moon and Martian rocks here on Earth and doesn't burn even a close planet would definitely smash to each other because of the gravity. I love watching movies and some tv shows. But the worst part about it is finding something to watch. I’ve discovered at least 5 movies from this channel and probably 10 total from channels like this one. I love these ! Thank you!
Bob a real dude that’s the homie I want on my team. He only wanna uplift those around him.
"Dual-gravity planet where the rich live above and the poor below"
The kid doing handstand: i see no god up here, *other than me*
BOB is the true mvp here
I find it weird how the majority of the movies he covers I almost never seem to hear about coming out
I remember a anime movie called "Patema Inverted". It has the same concept and was released in the same year. It was a good movie :)
*Wow this movie takes the 69 position to a whole new level*
👁👄👁✋🏻
Looks more like a **bd**
Nice
Woah bro
😂😂😂
Everyone need a Bob in their life
Yep.
bob is hero in this movie.
Bob is literally the best character. I love him so much.
I love movies/stories where two people of two different worlds fall in love and then eventually unite their worlds through some kind of breakthrough. I know it sounds like some kind of cheesy love story at first, but damn, love truly does conquer all.
That basketball game at the end would be so much fun!! 😆
How would that even work?
@@kpay10 idk man
@@kpay10 gravity.
Imagine they made some crazy theory of having a doppelganger on the opposite planet or symbolism of mirrors when you live on planets like those.
Try watching “Another Earth”.
then that would be a us ripoff u gotta wait at least 7 years
Just like in "Us"? God I hate that plot twist in there. It doesn't make sense.
I remember watching this movie when it came out but this recap was more impactful to me then actually sitting through the whole movie. THANK YOU!
For anyone wondering, "Wow, this is such a cool concept. I wonder if there's an anime version of this.", check out "Patema Inverted". Same concept, two gravities. I've only skimmed the movie so you be the judge if it's good but the visuals are amazing.
Ohhhhjhj, I'mma check that out
that movie has a better story line than this one tho... i mean this one is more for visuals the recap makes it sounds 10x better (dont roast me this is just my opinion)
@@TheSpooder87 Ah, my bad. I always thought it was "Paterna" lmao. 😅
@@loulu8699 bro thats why we watch recap, because the movies are shit
im scrolling the comments trying to search this, i remember watcing patema
bob is a true one men!
I would believe in the gravity situation before I’d believe in rich and privileged people sharing their prosperity with the lower class and getting along with them. That is the most unbelievable part.
Bruh
Than everyone would be poor living at the bottom.
The movie is about perspective. You are told at the start that the "up top" and "down below" is separated and different, but as it goes on you start to realise that "up top" and "down below" is no different from the other. The full movie is very good, I recommend watching it.
It’s free on RUclips
This is the sparknotes of movies, I love these videos I can “watch” a movie without even needing to look at it, keep up the fantastic content!
In a planet with two gravitational pulls can you truly say there is an up or down at all? What defines “up” when both sets of gravity pull you “down”
Ask yourself why North is always on top on every map and.
Up is the richer place so ofc it’s up
They just called it the up and the down, they didn’t say one is actually up.
Up in this case means rich
@@HypercatZ North isn't on the top of every map. You should go south of equator sometime, look at some maps.
I'm kinda surprised that interactions between two people of different worlds doesn't cause them both to start burning
Cause physics doesn't apply here. Any matter will attract to the nearest gravity, even though it's not originated from there.
Nice movie btw.
I find it curious that no one here seems interested in the inverted basketball game they developed. Gotta be more exciting when there are four baskets to go for.
Just wondering how both planets experience night and day while that bridge building remained intact.
I assume it's like how two magnetic balls always face each other when rotating.
I thought this movie was gonna be stupid but it actually seems interesting. Also Bob is a real one!
did they just drink everything upside down on the "uptop"? lol gravity really gets messed up.
no when they go down for tourism they drink things upside down. upside is the same as normal.
Gravity would feel the same for both sides. It’s confusing yes but think of it as both side experience the same gravity
@@smilingflower6117 How could she go Down Below without burning up? That being said, they were actually Up Top
Now. There was a line about manufacturing and adopting stuff for the people Down Below. Maybe that explains why one (Up Top) could transverse Down Below without harm
@@hunternease only had thing is when one shats, not a good sight
@@MaluluKeleGuiSila if you go to a restaurant in the down world when you are from the up world. I guess the poop would go up.
I've seen the actor of Bob in other movies where he's an evil sidekick. It's good to know he isn't just evil :)
What’s the name of the movie?
I remember watching it a long time ago, it's a memorable movie to me and I loved it. But hardly anyone knows about it
What's the name
@@subho23x upside down
Yup same with tenet
Shout out to Bob, everyone needs a real MVP friend like him 🔥🔥🔥
Hope everyone has a blessed day and may fortune be on your side
Thank you. In this movie, fortune certainly was on one side..
🙏
No. I wish the worst to you.

Can we talk about how Bob is the real MVP of this movie
To think all the world's problems would be solved if we had more kids interacting through basketball.
No one knows who performs the "Falling Down" song in the end credits. The song details do not appear on the end credits. It is a complete mystery that no one has been able to solve.
A quick search told me the singer is Aggie Hsieh lol
@@rinlovestraps4894 It was his plan all along to wait for someone else to find it for him. Saving him the effort of searching. Think about it. It's BRILLIANT
This is such an interesting concept for a movie and I think it was well-done. Great job, recapped!
I think we all need a friend like Bob.
This makes me so grateful that i live on planet earth.
The ending is like a good walkthrough ending . The movie was so weird with its choices it felt like Adam the player was walking on eggshells and one bad choice and you get the bad ending where everyone dies
bob is such a nice man, really gotta love this character
This channel has introduced me to so many movies i didnt know existed!!
Director: we need ideas ppl
That guy who just sits there: how about ignoring every single law of gravity
Director: I like the way u think
I'm kinda confused how one world got the advantage over the other.
there was no advantage they were just richer
Its like different the two leads is from two different countries lol thats the simple explanation..
its like northern vs southern Nigeria. south has all the oil but the north has all the politicians and uberwealthy.; whoever makes the rules has monopolized the power. (note this analysis is over simplified and a bit dated, really it was British colonizers appointing powerful roles to northerners so as to not make one side too powerful and prevent a revolution... didn't work)
@@crawfish9042 still doesnt make sense as in nigeria the power of the north is upheld by the state. In this world people from north cant force down people to do anything, the police or military of the north will not be able to extract the resources
It says in the beginning of the clip that the up above gets oil from the down below and sales them electricity at a high price.
Bob is literally the best person/wingman you can have
The idea that two planets could exist so close to each other with a physical gravitational dividing line is physically and scientifically impossible.
Can't blame it's a science fiction, now I want to watch the movie again to finish it :-)
I watched this movie a long long time ago. Was really good. Sometimes we have to forget about real relativity and just enjoy something.
People bashing RIP physics but the movies isn't considered sci-fi at all. Might gonna snap their forehead if they say Marvel/DC is real...
Ngl this would've been great as like an action movie too. A rebellion of both sides fighting against the main rules.
Awwww I'm so glad a movie like this was made with a wholesome and hopeful ending. So many of these fantasy stories end with "wellp everyone's screwed". Dystopian societies are OK but as the saying goes when something hits rock bottom it has nowhere to go but up.
