Hey guys! In order to avoid demonetization, we are currently doing a trial to replace the AI voiceover with Human Voice. Please bear with us, we know this change might be difficult to take for some people. But we are ready to listen to your feedback and improve! 🙏
This movie isn't bad but it always kinda saddens me when movies take a really cool idea like a Parallel Earth and just use that as a backdrop to tell generic redemption tales, love stories, etc
Same, I'm actually getting tired of romance in movies like these, it distracts from the core aspects of the movie and diverts the story line, often times pushing the characters to make rash decisions based off of the person they're enamored with.

I wish they would've done more with the sci-fi concept instead of just using it as a way for characters to redeem themselves and use it for love stories.
I guess it’s to shy away from the typical sci-fi storyline, it adds a sort of realistic sense to it in away I guess? Like what society would probably react towards something like this, Idk i quite like how they made a normal story a bit strange instead of it being a typical romance drama sort of thing like every other romance drama.
there's a jimmy neutron episode with similar concept, when evil jimmy creates evil earth, and excapt replica of our earth, only the inhabitants are evil
the new voice is good. But I'm gonna miss the AI's "Watch out and take care" tone. It was so sincere that makes me to watch out and take care of myself lol.
I think that they should've either removed the whole "second earth" element or doubled down on it. The idea of a woman falling in love with a man who doesn't realize that she's the one who destroyed his life is interesting. And the idea of and exact copy of our planet floating right next to ours is also interesting, but it felt really half-assed and unexplored. It's kind of sad because this could've been two pretty good movies instead of one mediocre movie
Ikr. Or they can just combine it. Like their love may have potentially cause if the other Rhoda didn't caused the accident, meaning the other John (is that his name?) Would still be alive too. The first John can only meet his mirrored family but can't be with them unless the other John die. And ya know drama, drama and drama. I just can see the second Rhoda literally be the maid in honor
I feel like the 2 concpets could work, it just needed to be longer,1st half js everything in the movie, 2nd half is whacko sci fi shit, maybe even a mini TV series
@@DjDiamstatOfficial alot of enjoying your job is your coworkers I work in a kitchen as a dishwasher and the job itself is shit but I love my work because I genuinely enjoy being around the other people in the kitchen
“Rhoda is a very smart woman” “Rhoda later drives intoxicated….” “She also looks out the window while driving at high speeds.” Bro it’s barely been a minute I to the video!😂😂
@@shacone3909 She was indeed book smart. That's what got her into MIT, and i'm sure she knew that drunk driving was stupid, but when you're A.) Young and invincible, B.) Under the influence and C.) At the height of a dopamine rush, you tend to do stupid shit. Like the narrator said, "Rhoda feels like she can do anything in the world". Usually at that level is when intelligent people fuck up because they let their feelings of invincibility cloud their judgement.
Imagine if they were exactly mirrored so when they sent the ship the ships would collide making it where neither planet can get to the other . A lot of people don’t understand and say stuff like that’s not how mirrores work , imagine a litaral mirror in the sky and that’s your answer
this is exactly what I tought xd altough you could counter this easily. Just send the spaceships not straight to Earth 2 but in a rounded shape either to the right or left. Since the other earth will exactly mirror that if you shoot it off to the right they will to. However since earth 2 is basically looking at Earth 1 the other way around their right is our left and vice versa this means if you shot the rocket off to the right or left they will pass each other and not collide.
In the movie, they explained that earth 1 and 2 are perfectly synchronized/mirrored until the moment they discovered each other. Since they're not synchronized/mirrored anymore, I'm sure they won't collide.
What I find even less believable than a parallel Earth appearing out of nowhere is the fact this man didn't immediately recognize the woman that killed his family.
@@sayycho6560 yes he did but he woke up well before she got out of prison and had plenty of time to look her up. If some drunk killed your family you know damn well you’re gonna be finding out who they are and what they look like.
Whoever wrote this could have benefited asking themselves, “Does this setting contribute to the story?” Or, “Could this story ONLY be told in this setting?”
I mean, yeah? The story would be entirely different if the second earth didn’t exist. She wouldn’t have crashed and never would have met the guy and neither would be meeting their replica.
I literally had this idea for a story, with a second earth visible from the sky, though I would have made it appear like 500 hundred years or something ago.
I'm still mad at RUclips for forcing you to change voices but this was very enjoyable and the voice guy did a really good job, clear and clean with just enough empathy. Can't wait for the next one!
Not defending the drunk driving but it actually wasn't premeditated murder more like drunk driving which resulted in death. These things carry different sentences
@@edgusmus7882 Thats not how the justice system works , it wasnt premeditated , and also was a dui. The man being in a fucked up state means nothing when it comes to her sentencing , thats how the justice system works.
I think in many countries that use common law, causing death or killing without intention is punished with 6-10 years imprisonment. After serving 2/3, they are eligible for parole.
There is one gigantic plot hole that no one seems to be talking about: Gravity Edit: Wow 5k+ likes! This is the most i have ever gotten in a comment. Thank you so much!
@@ElectricIguana I guess the point is that two large planets in such close proximity would affect each other gravitationally to such an extent that there would be earthquakes and tsunamis that would make the planet impossible to live on. But hey, it's just a story. 😁
Yeah i seen this probably like 5 years ago now and its a great concept, going into it i find it engaging and interesting but it falls apart when you find out what the main characters actually want. Terrible ending with no clear sign of what might happen.
@@hooni2212 what’s the point. Her meeting herself tells us nothing due to it not being a part of the story at all. Listening to this I was excited to see the outcome just to be hella disappointed
Ending explanation: Earth Two Rhoda also won her ticket because she was an ex-convict. However, Earth Two Rhoda only killed the father. So there was no one to give her only ticket to, because she probably didn’t confess to the family. Or, she did, and the single mother didn’t accept. So Earth two Rhoda went herself. Ultimately, I believe this means her Earth 2 self will also find the closure her Earth 1 self found. Happy ending for all🎉
I think it's slightly different. Instead of Rhoda killing John the father and the father being reunited with his family and two Rhodas meeting. On the other world, John killed Rhonda's family. She is alone there. And then John being interested in space wins the ticket and sends Rhoda. Now you have 2 Rhodas and 2 Johns each and better symmetry.
Or I have a theory what if the second earth was just like what happened on the original earth she does kill the family but in there or she decides to give the ticket to the guy instead of her going herself so that’s why we see her in the end because in the other earth she decides to go to the earth so when they said that the earth has slight differences it could be the same meaning for up there or two so she might have chosen a different option then when she chose on earth to
@@gunnesjoel That's quite a fascinating idea. In the end, John from earth 1 was able to meet his son and wife on earth 2 and Rhoda from earth 2 was also able to meet her family on earth 1. The synchronicity might have been broken upon the mutual appearance of both planets but the symmetry is there.
@@SilentMotherFuckers The reason she won the ticket was cause of the entire car accident, so her other self being there means that the man's family also died on the second version of earth, and that second Rhoda got the trip as well but didn't give it up to the man.
@@damilarebalogun3289 I think they both killed the mother and daughter just one made the decision to use the ticket so when the husband lands on on earth 2 wife and daughter still dead that's my theory
That ending where there are 2 identical people named Rhoda is one of the most undramatic endings I have seen when this movie could have been so much more intriguing.
That's kinda funny, but true lol For all we know, the girl could have just hallucinated the second earth while intoxicated and actually be in prison this whole time for murder

But constructive criticism is always more helpful. Thanks again :) Sincerely, deepdarkboys
This movie seems trash, there's this HUGE idea with a whole as second Earth, and they're focusing way too much on this bull shit thing where the main female protagonist accidentally kills dude's family. Like, I WANNA KNOW ABOUT EARTH 2 MAN COME ON.
OH MY GOD! I just had a chill, not from the realization that the Rhoda met each other but because of WHY they met each other! The man Rhoda gave the ticket to as an apology ended up finding the Rhoda from the second Earth telling her all about the accident and what's going on, told her where to meet the other Rhoda and what's been going on since the last 4+ years. He found the family from the second Earth and well, since his not the main character, you can only theorize how his life ended up after that
They're "movie high schoolers". Most people who play high schoolers in movies are 20+, sometimes even 25+. It's easier to work with older actors because they typically have more acting experience and they're not restricted by laws on how long they can legally work like minors are.
Why is it enjoyable if it doesn’t explain anything about the 2nd Earth? The car accident/her redemption is just a back story.. Plot hole: How can John unite with his family on second Earth if the other John is also there? Of all the people on earth; scientists/ intellectuals/ etc... why, what could the second Rhoda do for the first Rhoda?? Seems like a waste of a space ship ticket!
I feel it's simpler than that: both girls did indeed live functionally equivalent lives to that point. The RTA did happen on both worlds, as did the prison sentence. If there was any difference between the two girls, it wasn't enough. Meaning that the only real difference is John going instead of Rhoda, meaning he'll get to the house and find his widowed self alone again.
@@itisALWAYSR.A. The Rhoda from the other earth wears much nicer clothings. Suggesting that the accident didnt happen and she was able to graduate from MIT (maybe because that other earth was on the other side of the car and Rhoda was unable to look out of the window and get distracted). And yet, even with a career, that version of Rhoda didnt seem happy enough which made her consider to visit her other version. This whole movie is about us fantasising about alternative lifes we could have lived if we just did xyz instead of abc. It asks us the question of where and what our true happyness is. And does it even matter "what could have been"? Especially if it distracts us from actually living our life that we have.
I think the point is that there are so many different things that happened in her life that insinuate "what ifs." What if she never got drunk and crashed, what if everyone in the car crash died, what if she told him the truth from the start...etc.? There are so many different avenues that could've brought her other version to earth, and the viewer is left to wonder. Even the single simple decision not to give him a ticket in the end could have brought the other girl here. A message I think this movie pokes at is the power of choice and how it affects our life outcomes. How powerful is a single moment's repercussions, can we fix the errors of our decisions, and does it all matter in the end?
@@SETHthegodofchaos i dont think her clothes mean anything. Remember it was an all expenses trip from a billionaire i doubt rosa would be wearing her janitor threads of she had gone either
My intrepertation of the ending: Rhoda 1 and Rhoda 2 did kill the family but the only difference between Rhoda 1 and Rhoda 2 is that Rhoda 1 tells the guy that she cause the accident while Rhoda 2 didnt
What if Rhoda 2 was the victim in the accident and her family was in the car and the guy from Rhoda 1 was the one who killed Rhoda 2 parents and then she was the one who got offered the ticket to Rhoda 1ns planet so she could see her family again
@@xxlightbgkingxx7039 it would be rare for the story to be inverted not cause it cant happen its because of time sensativity and how life works some things dont apply to other people
This movie had better potential. All the interesting stuffs we could get and we only got a drama story. Also, scientifically, an object that big and that close would disrupt both ours and it's gravity, and earth would be in chaos of natural disasters.
I wish they visited the other world and because its a mirror world they can't communicate with each other. To us they sound like they are speaking backwards but to them they are speaking normally. Idk lol
Another Earth, which is an exact replica of ours, up until it appeared anyway, literally appeared out of thin air (space?). I think I can ignore the laws of nature when it comes to certain things in the movie
@@Scion141 Yeah, certain movie ingnore certain "laws" to concentrate on one story, something like that. To me, it makes it better when it's all done accurately or like in this case let us know why gravity doesn't change so we understand.
another issue i had is how long it took for people to look at it. we have hundreds of probes and astronauts would have traveled there immediately if the atmosphere and places were identical to earth
Imagine if they where exactly mirrored so when Rhoda uses the telescope and point to the Earth 2 she will end up looking to herself in the telescope lens.
kills his wife and daughter stalks him, becomes maid, sleeps with him later tells him the truth when her guilt is too painful for herself to endure. what a fantastically selfish human female
I've found a good explanation for the ending: www.thisisbarry.com/film/another-earth-2011-movie-plot-ending-explained/ Rhoda meets herself alternate self after months, not days. Let’s assume that the last scene was on Earth-1. This means that Rhoda from Earth-2 has come to Earth-1. Rhoda (from Earth-2) didn’t leave at the same time John leaves from Earth-1. This leaves the question as to why it took Rhoda so much longer to come. Given the planets have been aligned in their histories, this delay is not because of a technology issue. One answer could be that John reaches Earth-2 and that causes the Rhoda from Earth-2 to learn about what happened. Eventually Rhoda (from Earth-2) gets a chance to travel and comes to Earth-1 to meet her alternate self. Perhaps there was never an essay competition on Earth-2. Even if there was one, Rhoda (from Earth-2) does not win the competition. Had Rhoda (from Earth-2) also won, she would have arrived on Earth-1 months before. Again, if on Earth-2, the accident never happens, Rhoda would have joined MIT. She wouldn’t have had the experience of being a convict and going to jail for killing someone. That incident makes her feel certain elements of pain and emotion that makes her write a winning essay. Coming to the accident, if the accident had not happened on Earth-2, John from Earth-1 would have got a chance to see John from Earth-2 happy with his family. There are many possibilities as to what may have happened on Earth-2, but the bottom line is Rhoda’s arrival from Earth-2 to Earth-1 is delayed and could possibly be a result of John’s landing on Earth-2.
Rhoda could have written a fantastic essay with an MIT perspective paired with her fascination with space and still won. Earth-2 was also late at sending a signal to Earth-1 so perhaps they waited for first contact.
Putting in my interpretation. A lot of people seem to just accept the parallel world different lives thing, but I think the last scene with Rodah (idk how spell) meeting herself means that they had the exact same life, since *Rodah only goes to the other planet if she became a felon*, which means John is not going to find anything.
@@mrxcs This makes sense. Since their Rodah also destroyed a family, she applied with the same motivation like our Rodah. In both planets she got accepted. On our earth only the husband survived so he does leave no one behind when he leaves our earth so he accepts the ticket. On the other earth, the wife cannot leave her children so she does not accept the ticket that's why their Rodah comes to our earth to see if the husband lives on this earth
@@NoName-xx9zd I'm bf of Rodah from parallel universe 2021 and yes she didn't kill anyone, she just excelled in science and won ticket to visit earth 1, and if u r wondering seeing my name ,yes BTS is here also n it's very famous all over earth 2.. good day earth 1 people
Well they can't just stop the movie right there! That's when it gets interesting. It implies that Rhoda from earth 2 also won the ticket and if Rhoda from earth 1 was correct in her assumption that means she never gave it to John hence, why she's here on earth 1. However, it also implies that Rhoda 2 never went to jail, so how did she win the ticket if she didn't have that specific life experience in writing her essay? So it's either a hell of a coincidence that Rhoda 2 who likely went to MIT and did what she had planned from the beginning, managed to nail an essay to win the ticket. Or, it's implying that Rhoda 2 did the same thing and had the same subject for her essay which caused her to win, but then likely never got into contact with John and never gave him the ticket. There are so many options this implies and maybe that was the intention with that ending. Maybe it means that John went to earth 2 for jack shit because the same happened there and his wife and kid are still dead on that earth. Which kinda also brings the situation that in the case that it hadn't happened and his family was still alive, what was the point of that? John from earth 2 would still be there, with his family. It's not like he can come in and just take over. And also how are the travellers just let go to do whatever they want on the different earths? I know it's been like 4 months, but there's no way government officials are just gonna let you loose when you're technically an alien from outer space. The most interesting thing was the ending and then they never even talked with each other. That's so lame. I'd want a scene where the Rhodas talk with each other and tell each other the differences if there are any or the similarities. If Rhoda 2 never caused the accident then she'd be likely horrified to discover that her counterpart had a whole life change due to this. So many options for this story and they fucked it up.
Thanks for taking your time and putting hard work and effort into these recaps! Just taking a moment to say we all appreciate it, and your dedication, and even changing the voice to keep this going is great

They should make a sequel where we’d see the Earth Two and how John and Rhoda are doing ! This concept is so complex, they could easily make more films out of it.
Wait a minute *has flashbacks of captain under pants in space*. Ohhhh, they made a other earth and different personalities just like the episode from captain under pants where they are on a different earth
The theory they had was false since world 2 had the same incident and didn't believe of anything changing for the 4 years they found out there was another earth. Earth 1 however thought so and thus became the change... that's why at the end her doppelganger showed up, realizing John lost his family in that world as well...
Is it though? Why it is not John that came? Or is it because John also die in earth 2 ? Because in earth 1, the girl didn't go, but the earth 2 girl did.. I really don't understand with the meaning of the ending..
Even if in Earth 2 his family is still alive...It is still not his real family. He cannot just go there and takeover as the new John 2 from Earth 1. That is probably the reason why Girl 2 came to Earth 1. John 1 probably lost his mind, tried to kill John 2 and was killed.
I think she won the contest on the other planet because the accident never happened. So she never felt like she had to give the ticket to john as his family was probably alive on Earth 2.
@@DeathnoteBB My ending explanation theory: Earth Two Rhoda also won her ticket because she was an ex-convict. However, Earth Two Rhoda only killed the father. The most infuriating plot hole is the fact that she didn't know she hadn't killed the father. Like she would have intimment knowledge of the crimes she was charged with. Also, even with the coma. I'm pretty sure you would have researched and recognize the person who killed your wife and kid
The two plots of this film are like wholly different worlds crashing into one other; they destroy each other before we can fully appreciate the gravity of either.

I was honestly intrigue by the concept of parallel earth and lots of possibilities but it kind of ruined it for me by filling everything about love story, redemption and drama. 6/10 for me
Even 6/10 seems generous for just fully leading the viewer on, I'd give it like a 3/10 or a 2.5/10, the story itself isn't bad, but the premise is so cool, and they wasted it and led the viewers on
I thought the movie would take a more sci-fi orientation. I was thinking it would take a Junji Ito's Hellstar Remina approach by presenting us with a planet that absorbs other planets, but not quite. Like the two planets would collide in a very dramatic and explosive way, chaos ensues between the two worlds, maybe internal conflicts within the characters that make them reflect on themselves, now that they have someone who mirrors them in every aspect. Something deeper than romance, the plot is great, but sci-fi kind of feels like a sub-genre, if the identical planet was removed from the equation it'd probably be just another romantic movie. I wish they just elaborated on the other planet, it was very interesting
I think the fact that theres another her on earth means the accident did happen, what didn’t happen was her falling in love with the father and giving him the ticket, hence why she is on earth now
Unexplained? I thought it was straight forward. People and their duplicates got tickets only to avoid confusion. She gave hers away and the other didn't, it's as simple as that. Of course I only gave a simple answer and there is more to it like Maria stated but the movie basically explains it.
@@MariaEduarda-ng1th The accident might not happen though, since the second self have a different aura. She seems successful and got to receive the ticket due to a different essay. Remember that she have always been interested in the space.
If the accident never happened on Earth 2 then why is the dad going there to be with his family as surely there's a version of him as well. Is he going to whack himself?.😆
A lot of people are frustrated with the lack of sci-fi elements and cgi. I was too, until I looked up the budget. It's only 100k, which is really impressive.
I've watched this the year it was released. If you want a scifi film with emotional depth, you'll love this. It made me ponder about life and my existence. I'm a different person after seeing this. It's the kind of film you have to watch alone...
This film is an underrated gem. The scene with the car accident/aftermath gave me chills (I saw the film when it first came out). It also didn't have the traditional happy" ending.
Was introduced as a “very intelligent woman” who that SAME night, drove intoxicated, at high speeds while looking at the SKY, and smashed the father/husband of the pregnant wife and child she killed. After putting him in a coma of course…..
I think it did have a happy ending. It wasn’t traditional or straightforward, could definitely be interpreted differently but here’s my take. My ending explanation theory: Earth Two Rhoda also won her ticket because she was an ex-convict. Happy ending for all🎉 *also note, she may be wearing nicer clothing, but that doesn’t mean she went to MIT. She won a trip from a billionaire to another earth, which was televised. She’s not going to wear her every day clothes.
So basically at the end where she sees her self im assuming that on earth 2 she never got into the car accident so when she applies for the free trip and wins she doesnt give it to him because she never killed his family which is just incredible to think about
I think she wouldn't even need to enter a competition to get there. If she had completed her higher education and had pursued her goals she could have easily become part of the team for the trip to Earth 2.
My ending explanation theory: Earth Two Rhoda also won her ticket because she was an ex-convict. However, Earth Two Rhoda only killed the father. So there was no one to give her only ticket to, because she more than likely wouldn’t have told the family. Or, she did and the single mother didn’t accept. So she went herself. Ultimately, I believe this means her Earth 2 self will also find the closure her Earth 1 self found. Happy ending for all🎉
One of the biggest scientific inaccuracies in the film isn't the theory of a mirror Earth...but the fact that another planet could be that close to us and NOT create massive geographic and geological catastrophes because of the introduction of a new gravity well within our own orbit that was much stronger than the moon.
This isn't truly sci fi, they had a much more interesting parallel Earth concept but focused instead on a single person's story. Kinda wasted a good setting there...
I have a theory about how the second Earth and moon appeared. It involves a popular theory in science-fiction of when people make decisions, sometimes it creates a parallel universe when it explores both choices of yes or no. But there was a "hiccup" or "malfunction" when the choice was made, and the Earth and the moon ended up in the wrong universe, which caused a double-up.
Brit Marling is the blonde girl and she’s a genius. Graduated top of her class at Georgetown University. She created “The OA” on Netflix, and also The Sound of My Voice & The East. But Another Earth is by far my favorite film by her ❤️❤️
Yeeees i was hoping someone else here knew of her genius! The OA was one of the most profound and interesting shows I've ever seen I was immensely saddened when it got dropped. Her writing style is just incredible and the stories she weaves with it even more so.
I love the parallel with earth 1 Rhoda's cloths looking poor and seemingly lesser then earth 2 Rhoda who looks more lavish possibly confirming her theory. It is kind of sad for john though as his parallel family is living on normally so unless he murders his parallel self he's only gonna suffer more knowing he can never truly have his family back
The concept is actually interesting. To think how we would have turned out if we grew up under different circumstances, if certain traumas did not happen, or if we had made different choices. Lead a different lifestyle, had different habits.
I always thought it would be cool to eventually find another planet similar to earth just to find out that evolution evolves the same everywhere. Maybe find humans, or maybe the planet is still in its Jurassic era and we find dinosaurs.
Actually it’s homicide, it’s not murder because she didn’t have any malice aforethought and didn’t intend to kill, she was drunk. Also shut the fucc up this is just a movie.

this is exactly what I tought xd altough you could counter this easily.
That's actually a really good theory 🤔
In the movie, they explained that earth 1 and 2 are perfectly synchronized/mirrored until the moment they discovered each other. Since they're not synchronized/mirrored anymore, I'm sure they won't collide.

What an incredibly anti-climactic ending to such an interesting premise...
I don’t get what the ending means when she sees herself
@@SilentMotherFuckers The reason she won the ticket was cause of the entire car accident, so her other self being there means that the man's family also died on the second version of earth, and that second Rhoda got the trip as well but didn't give it up to the man.

So the other girl won a ticket to earth 1? Maybe cuz she was at m.i. t and made a bad ass essay. Cool ending but hate when it ends like that
I feel it's simpler than that: both girls did indeed live functionally equivalent lives to that point. The RTA did happen on both worlds, as did the prison sentence. If there was any difference between the two girls, it wasn't enough. Meaning that the only real difference is John going instead of Rhoda, meaning he'll get to the house and find his widowed self alone again.
@@itisALWAYSR.A. is that shown in movie?
@@itisALWAYSR.A. The Rhoda from the other earth wears much nicer clothings.

I've found a good explanation for the ending:
www.thisisbarry.com/film/another-earth-2011-movie-plot-ending-explained/
Rhoda meets herself alternate self after months, not days.
Woah thanks!!!
whats the song in the intro thats goes ahh yuh
Narrator sounds like he is saying “rota”
Can we get a narrator with a deeper voice
Rhoda could have written a fantastic essay with an MIT perspective paired with her fascination with space and still won. Earth-2 was also late at sending a signal to Earth-1 so perhaps they waited for first contact.
Putting in my interpretation. A lot of people seem to just accept the parallel world different lives thing, but I think the last scene with Rodah (idk how spell) meeting herself means that they had the exact same life, since *Rodah only goes to the other planet if she became a felon*, which means John is not going to find anything.
On the other hand, the Rodah of this planet did not go to the other planet, so they have different lives. One Rodah goes the other one does not
@@NoName-xx9zd That's ryt😯
Or maybe in the other planet just him has died.

Ultimately, I believe this means her Earth 2 self will also find the closure her Earth 1 self found.
Happy ending for all🎉
The most infuriating plot hole is the fact that she didn't know she hadn't killed the father. Like she would have intimment knowledge of the crimes she was charged with. Also, even with the coma. I'm pretty sure you would have researched and recognize the person who killed your wife and kid
RUclipss choice to demonotize the robo voices is pretty weird, but the voices you've been testing out sound really good!
Thank you Squiddy this means a lot to read

@@ForgedInferno Yeah! This is the first time I've provided voice for a channel of this size.

@@ForgedInferno Thank you so much.
The two plots of this film are like wholly different worlds crashing into one other; they destroy each other before we can fully appreciate the gravity of either.
im bugged about in the movie that intoxication on the road leading to manslaughter was only a 4 year sentence, what kind of dystopia do they live in
Earth 2.
Par for the course here in Ireland. Maybe even a suspended sentence.

I love how the billboard calls it a voyage of a lifetime when it’s literally an exact replica as the government calls it and you would just see everything you normally would except you might meet your alternate self
Brit Marling has such an ethereal beauty about her. She's neither gorgeous nor plain, she's in that sultry in-between.
As a person with adhd these recaps are amazing.
I also wonder what the ending of the movie could’ve meant
adhd: re no patience to finish the movie?
well i suppose it would be good if this channel/these channels had a recap for every movie so sometimes we don't wanna watch the whole thing but just see the summary but at the same time get entertained
but actually mostly i find out about these movies for the 1st time from this channel/these channels. for you did you hear about these movies BEFORE the channel/s?
I think that Rhonda had the accident in earth 2 too. Because her speech to get accepted was that she was an ex convict
these videos are the best i watch these everyday
Agreed
I’m glad I didn’t waste my time watching this just for it to end abruptly.
I was honestly intrigue by the concept of parallel earth and lots of possibilities but it kind of ruined it for me by filling everything about love story, redemption and drama.
6/10 for me
4 out of 10 for me. Disappointed.
-1/10 for me. made me mad.
Concept: Amazing
Execution: Appealing
Ending scene: Unexplained and in turn a huge letdown
Same. I wanted to know if he did find his family there. That would be awkward since his second self is also alive there.
It also didn't have the traditional
happy" ending.
Happy ending for all🎉
*also note, she may be wearing nicer clothing, but that doesn’t mean she went to MIT. She won a trip from a billionaire to another earth, which was televised. She’s not going to wear her every day clothes.
I love this channel, you dont need to lose time to watch bad movies! Get the concept, laugh about the plot and you are done after 15 minutes
John went to earth 2 and found his earth 2 wife and son still alive along with his earth 2 self........awkward.
So basically
at the end where she sees her self im assuming that on earth 2 she never got into the car accident so when she applies for the free trip and wins she doesnt give it to him because she never killed his family which is just incredible to think about
I think she wouldn't even need to enter a competition to get there.

She's a beautiful person. I would have loved to see that movie
Then do it?
@@koltonnanninga905 Nah I'm good, It's already been spoiled
Brit Marling is the blonde girl and she’s a genius. Graduated top of her class at Georgetown University. She created “The OA” on Netflix, and also The Sound of My Voice & The East. But Another Earth is by far my favorite film by her ❤️❤️
I love her. The OA is breath taking. Brit Marlin is truly the most spectacular actor (regardless of gender) I’ve ever seen.
A sequel would be dope though 💥
Yeeees i was hoping someone else here knew of her genius! The OA was one of the most profound and interesting shows I've ever seen I was immensely saddened when it got dropped. Her writing style is just incredible and the stories she weaves with it even more so.
I like this new voice it fits the channel very well
Thanks for your understanding..
Thank you!
I love the parallel with earth 1 Rhoda's cloths looking poor and seemingly lesser then earth 2 Rhoda who looks more lavish possibly confirming her theory. It is kind of sad for john though as his parallel family is living on normally so unless he murders his parallel self he's only gonna suffer more knowing he can never truly have his family back
I enjoy movies like this, and Melancholia, where something immense happens in the background while people lead their lives and deal with their issues.
Nothing wrong with this voice,
I'm just going to miss the AI. His voice added a tiny bit of sarcasm. Made me feel like I was discussing in real timw
This sounds rly good ! Nice work from the voicer, keep it up ! ^^
The concept is actually interesting. To think how we would have turned out if we grew up under different circumstances, if certain traumas did not happen, or if we had made different choices. Lead a different lifestyle, had different habits.
I’m also interested in space science and will never lose fascination.

I always thought it would be cool to eventually find another planet similar to earth just to find out that evolution evolves the same everywhere.
Maybe find humans, or maybe the planet is still in its Jurassic era and we find dinosaurs.
Ah ha, but thing is, evolution is merely a theory with no basis! How can either of us be so sure about the origin of man?
