    I’ve just passed my class 1 and I can’t wait to find a job but this is my single biggest fear, that exact situation… doing a hard reverse with a load of impatient “experts” watching getting snotty, I love the technical stuff when I can go at my own pace, not when someone is telling me to hurry up who doesn’t have a clue, well done for keeping it together.

      well done on passing, your best watching Russell Worthing's vids as he's a very experienced driver know running low loaders in south wales and a lot of the reverses he does are impressive. lot of stuff to be learn't from watching him.

      You get used to it mate. There will be days you blind side it in like a pro and others where you struggle on a simple bay reverse in an RDC, doesn't matter how much experience you have

      Even the longest driving people have days where you struggle all I can say and I’m a newbie just take it slow and don’t be afraid to get out and take a look and I found a steering wheel spinner helped me in reversing too

      i passed my class 2 also very tigtht corners especly in london i tell you somthing dont give a fuck mate do in your time just switch off and focus what you doing to be safe and your equipment be intact just as i do cars drivers honking dont bother me

    16:28 Did you say you were in Wembley? You were on the northern end of Scrubs Lane, NW10. I'd call that area College Park or, perhaps less accurately, either Willesden or Kensal Green. Wembley is about 3.5 miles away.

    When I was doing old field work in West Texas, there was always some rig worker anxious to tell me how to maneuver my truck...Funny. I never felt the need to tell him how to drill for oil

    Well done Jay for giving as good as you got, too many jumped up people out their on a power trip. Maybe next time he'll think twice about being so arsey with a truck driver doing a difficult maneuver.
    There is something very captivating about that sequence of you washing the truck down, especially the side skirts, could have watched it for a lot longer, I fell into a mesmerized stooper.

    When I used to to it I would always drive as close as I could to the most flashy car in the yard. Then tell them it was first day driving and my boss was a gangster who didnt give a shit. After that, cars and vans would disappear.

    Watching this made reminded me of the time I used to go out in the lorry with my dad, I do remember a delivery like this scenario I could see him getting agitated and no one was helping him eventually he snaps at everyone and asked me to jump out and give him a hand

    Jay-sus! That reverse would've been a bea-atch without the cars. As soon as I clocked the number of cockwombles in pristine hi-viz [the cleaner it is, the less work they do that needs it] I realised there were more chiefs than grafters. They'd have been better employed boiling the kettle - not that you'd have seen the result of those labours.
    Kudos to you for keeping your cool, as you always do, I'm not sure I could have.

    I would have refused those blind sides and driven straight in. Looks like it would have been easier to reverse out onto the main road when loaded. Great job under pressure Jay

    Welcome to London, I usually drive a Low loading flat bed with a ramp for plant. Yes it maybe a 7.5t. But I have to tell the Banksmens to EFF OFF too a few times, As I would ground out or the ramp is not going to be level for the off load. On occasions I would pull my keys out and tell them to do my job. Sure enough they comply and become my eyes and ears. Good luck buddy.

      I did that about 40 yrs ago had an Atkinson no power steering fully loaded trying to get in a shed 1ft wider than truck after about 4 attempts guy says do you want me to do it, gave him keys he got it in first attempt, he was the shunter for the company, next time I went I got it in first go by remembering how he positioned the truck.

    Happy New Year to you Jay. I used to visit construction sites with my previous employment and I do not miss it one bit! particularly around the London area where they seem to be populated by twonks with big gobs and no brains! By the time the deliveries reached our guys on the site most drivers were totally stressed out by the moron that they call a banksman. well done mate you have my total sympathy.
