@@fredericmarchiol8704 to be quite frank, I'm not sure it is. Haven't done a detailed analysis. But Bloodborne gives a strong, metal, heavy sound and that's quite enough for me.

Thank you Thank you Thank you... I run local fighting game tournaments and the monitors we use doesnt output sound load enough even with powered speakers and everything set to max. Just ordered some of these and hoping it will solve the issue since its outputting right from the PS5.

Would this also pick up microphone? I'm planning out a DIY fightstick and was thinking about using a usb splitter to include a headset jack if possible, like what the controller itself has

How about the volume? I've tried using an Audio Interface (Behringer UM2) and it sounds very very low volume.

Thank you for the video! I ended up using the same USB interface and it works great. The only small issue is that the PS5 recognises it as an headset and automatically mutes the controller speaker. Unless there's a way around it? cheers

I tried with a soundbar from sony the model is HT-CT 290. I've also bought that same adapter. And than connected a Aux to Optical cable. The PS5 sees the audio device but I don't get any sound on my soundbar. How could I fix it?
Can I still use the mic built into the controller whilst connecting this as out going for surround sound
This method does work for me but I've noticed that when I do it the speaker is much quieter compared to if I just plugged it into my controller. 😕

Nice video. Have ps5 with pc speakers. Monitor have no speakers but have a headphone and microphone jack. Monitor is Aorus fi32u current setup is speakers are connected to pc. Trying to use the same speakers for pc n ps5. Speakers have a 3.5mm jack. Any idea how do I connect?
You should be able to use this adapter to connect it to the 3.5mm jack on your computer speakers.
The sound quality is very low for mine because the speakers itself has no volume button would getting one with volume buttons increase the sound? Or will it just depend on the sound on the ps menu
Sounds like your speakers need a preamp.
For some reason when I plug my speakers into the port it is quiet compared to when I plug it into the controller

What if u do this 90% of the time, but 10% what headset audio & chat? Do u have to manually change settings on PS5 or will it plugging in headset to controller automatically redirect the audio to the headset and provide chat?

Depends on the capability of the monitor, but you’ll typically have an aux out of some kind. It should work plugging it directly into your PS5, though.
Hi! can anyone help me with this thing, i tried to do the same thing but my external speaker only produce 1/3 of the speaker sound even after i tune up the volume. My ps5 detect the speaker as usb headphones (KT USB Audio) when i connected through the converter/adapter. The converter/adapter that im using are from UGreen 2in1 usb external soundcard. I hope someone can help me with problem🙏🏼

I have an XLR mic, so I use a GoXLR (amzn.to/3URdGg2). It’s not cheap, and does voice changing and all kinds of other things. I run the line out through a volume control knob, and then to the mic input of the adapter to get my XLR mic to work through my PS5, including voice changing and everything.

If it can connect using USB, I would think it would work without this adapter.

Yep. I even use my GoXLR with my Blue Spark mic to chat on PS5 going through this little adapter. If I can find some time, that’s going to be my next video. This pesky day job of mine takes up so much time.. 😂

Unfortunately, I don't have a soundbar with a USB audio input. The two soundbars that I do own both have a 3.5mm aux input and an optical audio input. While I can't help with your question, I would love to know the answer if you get one, or figure it out.

Don't make it more than it is? Ohhh I got one for you. I have a leftover ps5 headset with that USB dongle to transmit audio from ps5 to the headset. I also have a behringer mixer that I'm tired of being tethered to. I'm wondering if I could get a 3.5mm to usb port adapter and plug it in the headphone jack on the mixer, then plug the usb dongle into that, and maybe magically the ps5 headset will pair back up to the dongle and I'll get the audio coming through the headphone jack?
I’m thinking the magic part won’t work when the dongle is plugged into the mixer, but it’s worth experimenting. I have a GOXLR. I’m set up so when I play on my PS5, I can get all of my audio from the mixer, use my XLR mic with voice effects from the mixer into my in game chat, and be completely wireless on my headset and controller. This requires some devices and cables to set up, but it’s great once set up. I’ll be doing a video on it when I get a chance, and hopefully it can help with the mixer you have as well. I started a new day job 8 months ago, and it’s been tough finding time to get videos put together, but I’m committed to grinding it out this year.
@@DocValentino interesting. I don't have a ps5 anymore, but I kept the headset. There doesn't seem to be much info on whether or not the dongle can work in those 3.5mm to usb port adapters. Most stuff is going the other way (plugging a usb device to output sound INTO the 3.5mm port). But I want it to just transmit like the dongle would normally. It would be the cheapest option since I'd only have to buy an adaptor cable, instead of an entire dedicated 2.4ghz transmitting system.
I gotcha… I’d be curious to know if it works. I think I have a PS Gold headset lying around somewhere that used a dongle for wireless. I have never even tried using in any other manner (it came with a bundle and I only even used it a couple times). As part of my set up, my headset has a base station transmitter, but there probably are a lot more people using a wireless headset that uses a dongle. Might be something I need to experiment with as well.

Yeah.. I was just looking at the adapters on Amazon. They are cheap, but they all have less than desirable reviews. My guess is the dongle for the headset, which gets its power from the USB port, wont get the power it needs from the 3.5mm jack.
I bought this at your rec and it arrived today. Its extremely quiet compared to using the controller output and has a high frequency buzz to it. Sounds like there's tons of interference going on and its just genuinely really bad. I don't imagine QC is fantastic on a $10 dongle like this. :/
You may need a ground loop isolator if you get buzzing. I don’t get buzzing from this setup, but I do with some other things, and that almost always fixes the buzzing.
