You have a very cool daughter!
Thank you!
The time signature for Pyramid Song has been subject of much debate because it sounds very disorienting at first. But in the end it can be perceived as a syncopated and swung version of 4/4.
Yep. Phil actually confirmed this in an interview once.
It’s easier to pick up on once the drums come in. The chords are two dotted quarter notes followed by a half note that crosses the bar line followed by two more dotted quarter notes. The specific chords differ in different bars which makes it even more disorienting.
I think of it as 8/8 but subdivided into 3 beats and 5 beats.
Or a measure of 3 and a measure of 5 if that’s your preference.
I've heard it was in ten
As mentioned before, Phil Selway (Radiohead's drummer) said it's in "good ol 4/4". The piano being syncopated.
Live from the basement series from Radiohead can't be beat! Better than any album versions!
Good choice
Loved them both!
We live in a golden age of simply searching "what albums influenced "Kid A" by Radiohead"? ...and search engine tells me "Warp Records, Alice Coltrane, Krautrock and Jazz + personally, I got to say Charles Mingustoo - but it's really that simple. Want to know which other albums influenced... Creedence/whoever - some nerd's written it down somewhere and it's so easy to just work through discovering pretty much whatever direction you want to go in.
We live in an era where I can just hear the name of a genre + go explore, beautiful thing the internet - sometimes ;)
Erol - I would be "chuffed" if you'd do the odd jazz album here + there :) :) :)
The moment in Weird Fishes, that break is just super-uneasy and disorientating - oof, musical jealous - I wish I'd thought of that kinda thing.
Hey there! Im in Australia and have only just recently come across your channel and am really enjoying your reactions. I'm a big radiohead fan and like the way you come across with your reactions, seems genuine and much more pleasurable to watch. Other reaction videos i have seen on RUclips just seem fake and awkward. Keep it up and hope your channel grows! 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Please reaction to Morrissey - Last of The Famous International Playboys
Have you heard anything by the band ‘The Waterboy’s’? I think you’d really like them. One of their best tracks is called ‘The Pan Within’ from their album This is the Sea! Some really nice piano parts in there too!
I have not, but I’ll gladly add them to our list!
You might enjoy some of the more complex Mars Volta songs, off their earlier albums. Mexican Americans harking on Can et al.
May I suggest a song? "It's Called: Freefall", by Rainbow Kitten Surprise. A very minimal and interesting song, with great lyrics.
The Rip by Portishead would be my suggestion for your next reaction sir (I have commented on another video too 😉)
Try Antimatter-Existential
Reaction "clocks" to Coldplay, please
Who's dad?
My dad! We run this channel together. But obviously he’s “the face” of the channel lol
