“There’s an empty space inside my heart where the weeds take root..” ❤
I remember you discovering them... that was a good night!!!
Every Radiohead song is a journey. Always worth the ticket price!
Thom Yorke is a true gem. No other way to say it. Glad you found him.
I'm loving the Radiohead reactions dude. I'm here for the entire discography
Yes! Love this! Thom’s dancing is my favorite.
Appreciation....Kudos.
they take you there!
YESSSSS ✨
Fantastic band!!.. Haven't checked which tunes you've done BUT : Paranoid Android.. Let Down.. There There.. My Iron Lung.. Reckoner.. and so many more!!
The way this song floats in the stratosphere... omG. You're so much richer now compared to 3 years ago for discovering Thom in the meantime! ❤. He's one of the best artists of all time. I'm so glad he exists in the world. And yes, all the everything he puts in everything. OMG. ❤ The way he dances on this, fuck age, fuck routine, fuck everything else besides each lil piece of art he and Radiohead creates. ❤
well said :)
If you ever want to delve into to how great radiohead is, watch a video by Vox on the song videotape and how they ‘hide’ a syncopated beat. they also mention J Dilla (of Detroit, rip) and his beats, which is a whole rabbit hole on it’s own. But that 15 min Vox video on Videotape by radiohead is a must watch, even if you don’t do a video on it.
my humble request is a reaction to radiohead playing Life in a Glasshouse Live on Jools 2001 - they bring up this small group of older gentlemen playing live instruments and it’s a really jazzy song. I think you’d truly love it.
Your reactions are always great, reminds me of watching Mtv in the 90’s with my friends and us staying up late watching EVERYTHING we could and just jamming and discussing our favorite parts.
🫡 Cheers to Patrick for always requesting great tunes 🎉
Lyrics:
I will shape myself into your pocket
Invisible
Do what you want
Do what you want
I will shrink and I will disappear
I will slip into the groove and cut me off
And cut me off
There's an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
And now I'll set you free
I'll set you free
There's an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
So now I'll set you free
I'll set you free
Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers
'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what if
Just to see what is
I can't kick your habit
Just to fill your fast ballooning head
Listen to your heart
We will shrink and we'll be quiet as mice
And while the cat is away
Do what we want
Do what we want
There's an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
So now I'll set you free
I'll set you free
'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what if
Just to see what is
Oh, the bird that's flown into my room
Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers
'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
I dance around the pit
The darkness is beneath
I can't kick your habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head
Listen to your heart
All the music, the generations of sound you've experienced and Thom is top 3?
As it should be....It's like he is a vessel through which the heavenly song of the Universe pour through. That's why Thom disappears behind this lids whenever he goes "here." Always closed, eyes rolled all the way back, entranced.
Their rock songs are fantastic, but it's songs like these that hold up my theory.
someone'll have told you by now to check out a song from their other basement performance, a song not released on a record, called The Daily Mail
Hell yes!
