This movie radiates 2000's vibe stronger than the first 3 MCU films.

How they ever thought that Thor love and Thunder would beat this is beyond me. This is the true Thor that fans like and will always be a fan of
Except this wasn't the thor fans like
@@SyedKumailAbbasGillani Actually if you look online at reviews people like this Thor who's more serious than the one that Taika waititi put on screen that wasn't dark or serious enough. That was one of the biggest downfalls with Love and Thunder in it's reviews is that Thor was too jokester and wasn't serious enough like he was in this film and The avengers films
Thor 4 from Taika waititi is just so freaking bad! Waititi is just UNWORTHY to make Thor films!!
@@Jobaka005 He did make Ragnarok, which was a big success. Perhaps he and James Gunn should’ve taken some notes from Ragnarok, Guardians 1 and 2, and Infinity War for how to do a proper Thor film.
this is terrible tho
He selflessly sacrificed his own life for a species that he learned to love and was taught humility, thus regaining his worthiness to wield Mjolnir going from being the prideful, vain and arrogant boy he once was. What an epic scene
I agree. Its one of my absolute favorite Thor scenes, especially when his arm lifts up to take the hilt as it flies towards him, and lightning strikes as he grasps it.

A lesson there for all of us.
Literally no scene in Phase 4 holds a candle to this moment.
Odin did one right thing in his life. Exiled his son to teach him a lesson
Odin: Whosever holds this hammer if he be worthy shall have the power of Thor
Also Odin: Are you Thor the God of Hammers ?
I mean the implication is pretty clear that the hammer amplified his powers. Thor just used the hammer as a crutch until it was destroyed
me watching TV and switching the channels with the remote. suddenly the remote dissappear and now I can't change the news channel.
Odin: are you the God of remote
me: tryed to stand on my feet and changed the channel with the buttons on the TV
@@AC_Hurdles I think in this film though, and in the mcu (not so much the comics however) its implied that odin essentially "locks" thors powers in the hammer, until thor proves himself worthy again. Potentially if someone else held the hammer and was worthy, they'd be able to wield it and be granted thors godhood, essenitally rendering thor purely asgardian possibly forever, as odin seemed to have completely rid him of it. however even in the comics etc, thor's powers are his as a god, and his hammer is his weapon and channeling agent, with even odin commenting on thor as a baby being afraid of storms (without him realising that he was the one causing them when he cried)
Odin: Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall POSSESS the power of Thor.
As in, While holding the hammer, you can channel Thor's inherent power, along with using Mjolnir as the catalyst in the way that Thor did.
Evidenced by Cap-America being able to utilise lightning powers despite never exhibiting any sign of the ability before holding Mjolnir.
That’s not Odin saying Thor is nothing without his hammer.

But one very underrated scene is 1:22 when Odin in his Odin sleep sheds that tear upon thors death right upto that epic line "whoever is worthy..."

It's so interesting to revisit clips from the early Marvel movies when they didn't exactly know what they were doing yet.
Have you looked up the scripts online? You can find earlier versions, where they didn't have a clue what to do with Loki (generic evil villain) and really failed to flesh out some of the scenes that, thankfully, got much better by filming.
The one major highlight, though, is that the older scripts ACTUALLY GIVE THE WARRIORS THREE SOME FUCKIN' PERSONALITY. The films pretty much cut out all of the character for all three characters, and that made me not care about them at all (and be glad when they died). But then I read fics where they're fleshed out a bit -- Volstagg with a family, Fandral the snarky rake, Hogun dutiful and no-nonsense, hard to win over but with impeccable loyalty once you've got him on your side -- and I started to want to see them developed into characters.
And then I read the older script, and realized that the HAD BEEN. And it got CUT OUT. What the hell, Marvel?
Fandral even macks on Darcy! (And she appears to reciprocate, not that it goes anywhere.)
Arkylie yeah and now they’re dead and Asgard is destroyed. Hopefully they do more with Asguardians on earth

🤣🤣 I saw that like it glitched or something
They probably animated it from end to middle and start to middle, so it hits perfectly and it's sudden. However it does not convey mass.
Same 😂😂
And the wire work was butt too
The first and ONLY time we see Thor create a storm
Love how you can see the hammer breaking sound barries due to its speed.
There needs to be more sharks in that tornado.

@@mroffice8166 That's called a Stark move.
I do believe Thor had other opportunities to use more weather powers in the movies. That said, a tornado has to be used carefully. It could cause a lot of collateral damage and casualties -- it's a freakin' tornado!
I knew it. Thor can always summon a Tornado just like lightning. Rare powers for sure!

Tbh I don't think he could have reverse engineered it the most he could probably do it use the scrap metal
Actually he kinda did, In the Comics he has a suit made out of the same thing as the destroyer.

Thor’s hammer overpowering the destroyers beam....Years later his axe overpowered all the stones...
I still don't think the laser Thanos shot is all the stone's power. Afterall Iron Man handled the laser from the power stone but the power stone is supposed to destroy planets. I think the lasers are like a forced-inefficient way to use the stones as a ranged weapon
Me // The old issue - most folks assume nigh-omnipotence means “I shoot bigger lasers than everybody else”. That’s how Thanos used the gauntlet except for his finger snap. The true power of godlike beings is using something else than pure force.
Example: How would you kill Eternity without destroying the universe in the process? Simple: just remove the universe’s property to have personifications - poof, they’re all gone, Infinity, Eternity, Oblivion, Death.
And the universe goes on. So pure physical power isn’t the answer.
@@magicmulder Thanos could've done so much more with those stones than he did, lol. One of the major plot holes in relation to those stones.
You're a real failbag if you loose with infinite power at your command (in whatever way power can be translated).
I mean he could change reality, but didn't at the time he needed it the most.
Marvel movies are rigged with plot holes.
Isn't a problem ofcourse, but so many ppl claim these movies are set up in perfection, which clearly they are not. Haha
@@Handlealreadytaken.Trythisone. Indeed, one would assume if you're convinced you need to cull half the universe, you would first eliminate anyone who could theoretically stop you. Just for once I'd like to see a movie with a super-intelligent villain who isn't at the same time super arrogant and negligent.
Like "how would you handle an actual god, not someone like Thor" which would require a genius solution and no "oh we found this one artifact that can kill him".
i think thanos was caught by surprise and used a limited amount of the stones power to save for the snap. that's why thor overpowered the gauntlet
Love this. Thor is such an important character!
Really don’t get the Portman hate, she did a decent job in this film and the whole credibility of Thor learning humility rested on the Thor/Jane relationship. That “Oh my God” line is a decent little joke about her realising he is indeed a god. I certainly dont hate it.
This is one of the top Marvel films for me and it’s the characters that make it work so well..there’s more than enough been said about the fantastic Thor/Loki relationship and only Thanos challenges Loki for best bad guy in the MCU.
The character received mixed reception in the films until Thor: Love and Thunder, where she becomes more useful as the Mighty Thor.
The "Destroyer" looks like a cross between a lantern and a badly designed lamp post with limbs added.

Thor getting his powers back was cool, but the camera work, zoom ins and "Oh my god" haven't been kind to this scene
especially OMG. it was phony. the scene is very powerful otherwise.
Music too bro,,, it was good but not good to the scene
The movie is great, but it is showing its age more than, say, the original Iron Man. I feel it will not age well going forward.
It's probably because there have been so many Michael Bay movies that you don't like to see the style anymore.
Why do y’all care about those little details so much. That stuff doesn’t even run through my mind while watching this scene. I’m just thinking about Thor.
