The song just sums up her relationship with her husband he wanted her to give up her career in music to be a wife and mother , he couldn't handle it . She tried for 6 years to live a lie and be what he wanted and guess what, she realized you can#t live a lie you have to be yourself and do what your heart tells you .Wasnt that she didnt love him far from it , did you know after they split she bought a house across the street for him so he could be near their son , what a woman .

For me Adel is the only genuine soul singer around she is so original and soulful not manufactured like the rest , and guess what no auto tune she records everything authenticaly hence the deliberate breaks in her voice which to me make her sound so authentic and real . Go figure a fellow Brit bringing Soul to America .She has more soul in her little finger than Beyonce has in her entire body JUST SAYING .
