it was her laptop, she talked about it in an interview. This is a writing session she decided to record to keep and to listen to it later (at that point she wasn't sure if it would be on the album). This is such an intimate song that she said she couldn't do it in a studio, so they went back to this room with better mics and used pillows and blankets to help with the acoustics and that was the recording for the record. She also said she wouldn't perform it live. Maybe that's why she decided to share this intimate recording. She does write all her music, some with other writers others alone, I believe most of the lyrics are hers.

You never have to ask "How many takes" with Adele. The answer is always one. She said to Vogue recently that she NEVER re-records her vocals. The vocal track on the album is the demo vocal track. It's the first time she sang it. She believes a song loses authenticity and emotion when you sing it over and over. So she goes into the studio when she's emotional and lets it all out. Unreal. She literally said she "never" re-records her vocals. "Never ever."

I think it’s more than one but always sung from start to finish. Whether she picks 1 or 17 of those recordings I’m not sure. No auto tuning I think because there are imperfections in the song. But I’m not Adele so probably wrong

@@evamangan101 she has writing credits in most of them, maybe all of them but she has people, a songwriting team that writes with her, many important names Max Martin (the most successful songwriter and producer), Ryan Tedder from one republic, Greg Kurstin, some of which have wrote her biggest hits like hello, rumor has it, turning tables... And so on, she is super talented, i am a fan and I am not underestimating her amazing work but she doesn't write all of them, she has a team behind.
@@felipetorres7641 she co-writes every song, her producers always get songwriting credits, max mainly produces and writes melodies when it comes to her music because she does the vast majority of her stuff, i’ve seen it in an interview before but i have no idea where i’d find it now

It's amazing by all accounts. She did an interview for Apple music I believe where she spoke about how personal this song is and how difficult it is to sing. She said that she would probably never sing it live, even recording it was a challenge. This video was one of the few and maybe early versions of the song. She mentioned in that interview that outside of this room, it was difficult to recreate the vocals and the emotions. If you listen to the album version, it is less produced bc it was recorded in this room. I think she shared this version not for any particular reason other than she really loved this version and possibly bc she won't be performing it live any time soon.

I beg to differ and for a valid reason.... I actually recently heard an interview, where she said she has no future intentions to ever sing this live, because it's just too painful for her....so I actually think she did this for the fans, because she just knew it would be our favourite from the album, and that we'd want to hear it live?! 🤷♀️😏😔 .....
that's what I think anyway because she has said over and over, that she's not in the industry for fame or money, but for the love of it, so I personally think marketing would not be her first thought! 🤷♀️😏🥰

The only other thing to be rated/measured with "count" is linen, where the higher the thread count the better the quality. Egyptian cotton sheets are renowned as the best because the high thread count.
So for her to to express the kind of love she wants/deserves using a tangible commercial concept is extremely creative.

And she is really not only promoting her album in a brilliant way but also courage the world today that with simplicity and limitations can achieve original brilliance as long all done with sincerity, honesty,passion and authenticity.

I understand the pain you mention, i constantly picture that meter going full up into the red... painful. I try to see it as a fan video at a concert and not something that was produced, it helps me to just watch the performance
