Started my first semi project recently and happily stumbled upon your videos Bob, amazing! I've learned much from you in just a few short weeks, thank you much! Bought an assortment of goodies from you yesterday which you promptly shipped out today, again thanks! I believe I'll be learning much more from you, the help you've showed this newbie is much appreciated!
Loving your channel. A tip I learned when using the third hand is to put some heat shrink tubing over the alligator clips to help protect the wires. Hope that helps.
Have you ever ran across troubles with the Tamiya MFC volume control? I have an MFC 02 pickup truck kit, I had started this truck about 18 months ago and ended up. In the hospital 5 months and I just started finishing the truck and my volume stays at the maximum volume when turning the knob on the control box.. When I have the truck outside people 3 houses down can hear it if they are outside. I may have to see if Tamiya will look at it. I just hate pulling the truck apart because they will want the control box along with the MFC. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you for doing the video on the FS-i6X radio, your videos are so well done Your videos are done in a fashion where I am able to set the 9 year old young man from church, who I am helping build a night hauler on a budget, in front of the computer and he learns the how to videos you do. Thank you Sir!!
Great videos you have a great way of explaining what you are doing so people that are new to this understand End it is not too intimidating great job !!
I've been watching your channel for quite awhile now always find great ideas there, my problem is I have been converting trailers to super bs one is a flat deck and the other is a tanker any advice on a wireless lighting system for them ? I also would like to use my motorized support legs wirelessly i have difficulty getting them to stay hooked to the fifth wheel
Good morning and happy new year with gratitude I see your videos very illustrated and well advised I have a question can you link a second receiver to a radio link T10
Hi Bob, Your videos are by far the best on RUclips,I’m wondering if you are still planning on doing a GT Power light & sound pro video as mentioned in your King hauler dump truck part 4 episode? Keep up the great work and truck on👍

Hola, te sigo desde Colombia, y los videos que publicas me han sido de bastante ayuda, muchas gracias. Quiero preguntar donde puedo conseguir mas información de las Placa de expansión de sistema de luz y donde la puedo adquirir.
Hi. Loved your video on adding lights. I have a question on my situation. I have a Tamiya 1/16 Tiger 1 tank. It has a DMD multi function unit. It's the MF-01. I want to add l.e.d. lights to the front of the tank. There are extra slots on MF-01 but not sure if I can plug in a tamiya wire lume in one of those empty slots? I don't want to short out my MF-01 Computer. Are you familiar with the MF-01? On the top of the MF-01 of the empty slots that are not being used say OPT. I'm guessing that stands for options? Also does the Tamiya L.E.D. wire lume have a built in resistor? Is there any way I can add two lights to my set up? Thanks
Look in my older videos I have a 4 part series I did on the Tiger tank including radio programming etc. I would use an electronic switch for the lights. An easy way to do it and the lights do not connect to the MF unit. hobbyconcepts.net/products/hobbyconcepts-electronic-switch?_pos=1&_sid=4ad334b19&_ss=r
@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks for your fast response. So I noticed that to use this switch it connects to one of the channels on the receiver? I have a 4 channel receiver/transmitter and all for are already being used. I would need to buy a bigger transmitter, and receiver with let's say a 6 channel in order to use this switch? I would hate to spend another $150 or more on another transmitter?
Yes, you need a transmitter with more channels. I like the Flysky FS-i6x (it has 10 channels). hobbyconcepts.net/products/flysky-fs-i6x-2-4ghz-10-channel-radio-modified-for-tamiya-semi-trucks?_pos=2&_sid=ae98d2e1d&_ss=r
I have a question I bought the tamiya 56502 light set for my flatbed I installed marker lights on the side I spliced into the main wire harness all the marker lights work and the Hazzards but the tail lights don't work that's what I tied into can it not be done sure could use your advice thanks Chris
ruclips.net/video/FWPKRosXY5A/видео.html here is a video with spektrum dx4 that runs mfc-03, I'm building my first truck but using latest GT Power 60a that support SBUS with flysky Noble NB4 and got most function's.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC just to let you know… I found them on eBay via another video you made. I bought them and got them yesterday. It came from Amazon and it had a receipt in it. They paid them 9.99 via Amazon. I paid them 14.99 via eBay. Lol.
Hi Bob, You put 4 led`s on that lead rather than 2, How many extra led`s can can you put on a single lead OR in total on a MFC before it gets too much. Can the MFC handle the extra load?
What resistor and wire to use with 3mm and 5mm leds? mine burned out and i bought the mfc-01 but dont have enough leds and length to cover my project. Thank you in advance!
Why is it US /UK garage /gair-age schedule/ shhedual. but they don't say shhkool strawberry/ strawbre aluminum / al u mini um Sorry couldn't help myself. 00

Amazing nice 👍 work, I would purchase the expanding now, that’s the simplest
Thank you so much for this! You help me by my Tamiya Mercedes 3363 so much. Greetings from Germany. (Excuse my English) 🙂
Hi Bob..
What voltage are the pre wired led bulbs you use..found loads on eBay and Amazon but want to make sure I get the right ones,👍

Superb presentation Bob
Love these videos. Can you add lights to the Tamiya light kit? I’m building double trailers and want to add lights to dolly and 2nd trailer. Thanks
hey bob. you didn't mention at what temperature your running the weller station at. please
Good morning and happy new year with gratitude I see your videos very illustrated and well advised I have a question can you link a second receiver to a radio link T10
What temp do you use on the heat gun so's not to damage the wire but shrink the sleeve?
Thanks nice informative video 👍👍
Happy to you rakshabhandhan festival 💑💑💑
Awesome! Thank you Bob!
What resistor do you use for your LED's? assuming a 7v current.
I’ve always used the side of the soldering iron to heat shrink joints. Why bother with a heat gun?

I am working on one now but support from GT Power is horrible and holing up the video.

hola buen día puedes por Amazon o eBay también por Ali express ahí consigues muchas cosas para tu RC
What size shrink wrap should I look for in soldering light systems and motor leads?
1/8" for the light wiring and larger 1/8"-3/32" for the other wiring.
Hi can I ask what voltage are the LEDs on a tamiya MFC 01

Hi Bob, great video as always! Just wondering what voltage LED's you are using? Id like to purchase them from you but live is Aus :(
Up to 12 volts. Most all my models run on
Very helpful video, thanks, just one question, with the electronic switch, should you wire the led's in series or parallel? Thanks.
I wire them in parallel.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thank you
I make sure to ALWAYS wire them up in parallel in series I think they will buildup too much resistance.....

I am hoping if I buy a 5 chan reciever for my spektrum DX5 rugged I can use it and have most of the MFC01 system work with it in my grand hauler build
I have never had any luck myself with pistol grip transmitters.

I think you may have forgotten to add the eBay link to the 30 wires and shrink wraps. I don’t see it?
Thanks for letting me know. I just added a link to Amazon.

Hello Bob I am not able to see the link for the 30 g wire from e bay.
Try This: www.ebay.com/itm/202691806753

Hi Bob, You put 4 led`s on that lead rather than 2, How many extra led`s can can you put on a single lead OR in total on a MFC before it gets too much. Can the MFC handle the extra load?
That I do not know for sure. I have run up to 6 but I am sure you can run more.
I believe that 10 is pushing it to the limit that the controller will handle without glitching or blowing it out
@@angryyank 10 in total OR 10 per lead? Also why does bob put a resister on the new led BUT tamiyas do not?
@@garymurphy5133 That is 10 LED's per lead
I like
What resistor and wire to use with 3mm and 5mm leds? mine burned out and i bought the mfc-01 but dont have enough leds and length to cover my project. Thank you in advance!
I’m also wondering about the resistor value on these…did you ever find out? I can’t order from Bob to Canada.
Hi what solder r u using? U have a link ? Thx
I use Kester rosin core lead free electronic solder
(Lead free? & how thick?)
I use .031 rosin core lead free electronic solder by Kester.
Wonder why in the US its sodering and in the UK its soldering?
It is soldering, but the l is silent.
Why is it US /UK

To have a truck do I need a mfc?
No you do not need the MFC. You can run with a regular speed control.
