I use a pentair bubbler that is connected to mains and runs off batteries. It automatically comes on when the power is out. Very cheap options but eliminates my need to be home. I hide the bubbler behind my rock work
Yes custom or compromise. I watch lots of your videos and one thing I wish is that you would show your tank up close when you speak. Sounds like you have good advices but we can’t see your corals or livestock. Yes there is some cube with water far away behind you but viewers can’t see it thrive up close.

I have a used APC UPS from EBay. Got it for about 30 bucks. I tested it on my MP10. Lasted more than 10 hours.

Hi Marcus, a relay that automatically switches to a 12v battery running an air pump during a blackout is another option .

Have you tested your UPS to see how long it would run your return pump?
I tested it for 1 hour then got impatient and wanted to set it up haha. I need to do a full test to see how long until the battery is depleted
