I love a clanky midboosted grind but I can not deny just how incredible it is that the bass player here creates an atmospheric vacuum with his instrument. So sick.
I really appreciated Jake's emphasis on dsm-v being the last song and how they are not going to pretend to leave and come back haha. I've been to a lot of shows and I have honestly never cared for encores. They just feel like a formality a lot of the time and seem very disingenuous and dumb in my opinion. I saw cursive in Detroit in like 2003-2004 and they played 3 encores and it was exhausting.
Those Cursive shows were amazing. I recorded them on some shitty cassette recorder. But I love them. I don’t think they really intended to do that many encores.
