Fun fact..Scandinavians have a practice called koselig (Norwegian form) When winter approaches they prepare their houses by making it cosy! You will find soft rugs, blankets, furs on chairs and loads of warm candles and tealights lit around dusk each night. They drink hot chocolate, wear soft woolen jammies and fluffy socks. Gets them through the winter and is beautiful walking around a frozen town peering in windows at people's koselig set ups. Helped get us through each long dark cold winter in Norway. Another great vid..thanks Tim!
@@excession3076 yes! Thankyou! I just saw this response..Hygge is the Swedish equivalent! The concept is definitely migrating! I'm in the tropical South Pacific lol .I still practise koselig when a cyclone comes and we have the cyclone shutters up, it's truly quite uplifting. ☺️
In UK we carry on until someone says "blooming heck, it's cold". At which point we reluctantly put the heating on, and complain furiously until spring. Unless a flake of snow falls, at which point the whole of the UK ceases to function. At the beginning of summer, we turn off the heating, and when people start saying "blooming heck, it's hot!" we again complain furiously until late autumn, at which point the cycle repeats. In Europe they shrug, accept that the weather is what it is, and get on with their lives
@@Neil070 🤣🤣 I understand completely! I'm British myself!! And it doesn't matter where I live..from Norway to the tropics where I live now..I'm either moaning I'm too hot or moaning I'm too cold! British hypothalamus has defect I think 🤔😂

Great video always professional with specific details and information.Excited to see what you have in store for your fans this year! Thanks Tim for adding sparkle to our lives!
Your travel vlog to the Arctic Circle was so interesting Tim,you can see how cold it was with all the frost on the cars in the car park.Thankyou for another interesting video.
Two single duvets on a double bed is common where I live (Austria), so I guess it's the same in Sweden. When we migrated from Norfolk to Upper Austria, we knew about this so we brought our English double duvets (and the duvet covers) with us!
I'm chronically ill, and going through duty free is a nightmare. Like you said, it makes you feel dizzy because it snakes around and I feel dizzy 24/7 anyway, so it's the last thing I want! Plus, it is a massive amount of extra walking for me. Last year we paid a bit extra for their newish fast track service which is the normal fast track but also enables you to go through a secret door just after security that cuts out the whole of the duty free. Well worth the extra money for me.
Well done Tim, very interesting, I like your videos because they are different and not stuck in a rut of repeating the same repetitive content. After all a breakfast is a breakfast and fish and chips is fish and chips, theres only so much you can say.
Its traditional to have a duvet each in Scandinavia. Its good to see somewhere different and I can stay in my warm room and watch you in the snow, lol.
@@koogle5410 yea but then you get cold as it never covers enough. I hated it when in Germany and I was solo as if I rolled on to the other side the duvet slipped off😆🤣
If you're flying Ryanair from Stansted you will almost always have a gate on satellite building 3 as you've noticed, because it's one of the ways Ryanair keeps prices down. Not paying for passengers to use the transit system train, and not using air bridges for boarding.
Wow Tim I will say again that Airports are holidays! By the time I'd had my Wetherspoons breakfast & looked around all the shops I would probably be shattered & too tired to go & get my flight! That Wetherspoons looks lovely I'd be sat by the windows so I could watch the world go by! Another exciting flight you had taking in Great Yarmouth as you set off & Sweden as you landed. Swedish Lapland landing looked amazing ❄️ Love the Christmas Trees still up in Sweden, perfectly fitting for the climate there. Loved the fluffy chairs, reminded me of the Big Yellow Bird on Seasme Street! Nice to see your room in the warm hotel it does look comfy & luxurious I liked the fridge with some drinks & snacks in there too! And some wine 🍷 Shower Cubicle looked a tad small! Shame there was no Jacuzzi this time! Now I can't wait for your Ice Hotel Experience Tim🥶❄️
Hi Tim, I really enjoy the travel day vids/airport vids as they get me really excited for my own travel and also useful info about the airports. Keep em coming cheers mate. Happy travels.
Hotel looks great,I think those little Cabins looked nice as well tho.Freezing temperatures outside whilst being lovely and Cosey inside.Good old video as always Tim.👍🏴
It’s interesting to note that the Ryanair plane is registered as Ryanair Malta (Not Malta Air) and has been retro fitted with the down facing sharklet! The ones on the Max have more of a point at the end.
8:15 - we flew into Hobart in Tasmania, before they upgraded it to include x-ray scanners it had by far the smallest baggage claim of a proper airport I've ever seen - they had the bags on 2 hand carts that they pulled in from the plane / cutest - they had a search dog that climbs all over smelling for food produce to stop the import of potentially harmful parasites etc, good fun and great place
I love this channel because my dream is to travel around the world but I am so so scared of flying that even thinking about it can make me literally pass out. it's a shame but the areas that you went to are beautiful, I really love Stockholm!!!

Definitely a very luxurious hotel room! So in summer it'll just be a Hotel as no ice! Looking forward to the ice hotel video, suspect it won't be quite as comfortable for the night.
Tim, please could you do a camping video? Like camping in an actual yurt in like a cool forrest or something? be cool to see you camping, cooking on a portable stove etc!!!
Great video Tim. Just on the second flight you will not have passport control as it’s a domestic flight within Sweden. I have to travel to Belfast a few times a year and I never take my passport. Just show my driving licence and sometimes they don’t even look at that. When you go though Belfast airport on a domestic flight it takes minutes to get though. Sometimes takes longer to get off the plane than getting though the airport.
You know in glasgow airport any day at 4-7am it’s always so busy so it’s a prime time. I had a job in the airport but couldn’t go through with it and it was a 4am start cause it’s so busy
Looks like a fabulous place to stay - I’d love to do this but I fear it could be very pricey! If you want a smaller airport, you should try some of the Scottish island airports - Barra’s airport is just the beach!!
This looks has good has Lapland, did you have to pay for the minibar? will you be showing us the meal options and breakfast. Haha sorry asking a lot. Looking forward to the Ice Hotel too
Stanstead used to be a lovely spacious & relatively quiet airport..I'm old enough to remember this lol. They ruined it by turning it into a shopping mall, a real shame.
The duty free is so windy in Stansted I hate the airport (like the weather spoons tho lol) but the duty free reminds me of an f1 track it’s so many turns
There is no way those drinks and so on were complimentary. But stonking room - puts a lot to shame. Glad the channel has got so large you get payola, kick-backs and discounts. Some will see it as a bad thing, but in your case it's definitely progress, and deserved!
Single duvets on double beds appears to be a European thing. Stayed in both Berlin and Stuttgart at 4 star places and it was the same and I got cold because they didn’t cover me enough. Specially as I was solo as well and liked stretching out across the bed. Agree with rooms over hot. I sleep with windows slightly open even in cold weather as it gets too stuffy.
Since when is Britain not a European country? Do 2 people need to share one duvet in Britain? That is strange. I could never share a duvet with anyone.
What wss your breakfast like? The price of hot drinks isn't too bad if you have a few drinks. Our local 'spoons is £1.39 for refillable hot drinks. I'll be there next week to have a few lattes.
