I've used Stansted airport around 40 times with Ryanair. Never really had any problems at the airport, even if there is a queue it's normally moving, even through security. I do agree about the long waits at passport control, especially if 2 or 3 flights come in at the same time. With Ryanair, turbulence avoidance is an extra €10 payable when booking 🤭🤭 But seriously, Ryanair have always got me to my destination in one piece and on time. Yes, they are not British Airways Business Class, but you get what you pay for, a seat, a bog if you need it, and a bit of nosh if you forget to buy a sarny before you fly. I really don't understand why some folks whinge about flying on a 'budget' airline, if you want premium service, get your hand in your pocket and pay for it!
@@TheTonytiger89 If 2 or 3 flights land at the same time, then yes there can be quite a queue to go through the border gates, but I've only had really long lines a couple of times. Normally they whip you through pretty quickly.
My worst experience with turbulence was when flying back from the states, halfway across the Atlantic all the plane lights went out and the seatbelt warning came on. I compared it to one of those rides at Alton Towers, Tim. 😅
You crack me up, I was starting to think you were going to walk all the way from start to finish. How you keep it together I'll never know. Really happy you arrived safe and sound, I would have completely lost it at the airport both with the delay and subsequently not being able to get the hire car, been there done that and it wasn't good. Can't wait for Sunday.

Don't worry! A great flight would be from Bristol, Newquay or Cornwall to somwhere in Spain! Small airports and turbulence is extremely rare, my cousin has flew for Ryanair for over 9000 hours, only experienced turbulence about 15-20 times!
Luckily we’ve mainly avoided bad turbulence except for once on the way to Greece when the hostesses ran down the aisle with a black bin bag and the cabin announcer instructed passengers to deposit all drinks, hot or cold, into the sack. Those complaining about giving up their recently purchased lagers soon understood why the captain made the request! That wasn’t the worst aspect of the flight, but that’s a story for another day 🤣

We flew Ryanair on the BH Friday 2weeks back…Had a 3pm flight from stansted. Arrived 3hours early as was told how bad all the Qs were being half term week..Got in terminal, checked cases in 2min wait, then security not fast track took less than 10, so had 3 hours to kill, the worst Q was for weatherspoon, over an 1hr to get in…Apart from that all ran smoothly.
During half term, we (me & my 13 year old daughter) flew from Bristol to Dalaman (Turkey) with Tui, the queues were absolutely insane, starting at arrivals & snaking all the way down the airport to departures, we ended up delayed by over 3 hours, but still had an amazing holiday despite the rough start. On return I claimed compensation for the delay & have already been awarded £700 by Tui, which was over half the cost of the holiday... I actually think Tui have done very well to own up to their recent issues, & compensate effected passengers where necessary. Tui airport staff & flight crews were amazing & they have been very apologetic since. I'm already planning a solo trip to Greece with the money, probably with Tui again! Result!!.. 😃
Turbulence is the worst. We experienced it coming back on a flight from Egypt, was thrown around for over 2 hours. I've not flown since but hope one day to overcome my nervousness!

JFK to Heathrow in Feb with an unusually strong jetstream. We experienced turbulence that the captain described as some of the worst he had ever experienced. Zero G and dodging all manor of items flying about the cabin. However, turns out that it broke the record for fastest flight after completing in 5h 11 mins.
That turbulence did not sound fun at all! The worst I had was flying back from Venice age 17 during a thunderstorm. They had to stop the trolley service and seat belt sign was on most of the flight. I’ve only recently overcome my fear of flying following that and I’m 36 now! I think that taxi queue would probably annoy me more now 😂! How long did you wait in the end?
Worst turbulence on Ryanair way back from Majorca over the Pyrenees as the winds sweep up the mountain range into the flight paths. That was sat at the back of the plane so I always sit in between the wings now as more stable and you don't feel the bumps as much!
@@abigailparsons3202 This was an afternoon flight in October, before take-off the pilot warned there were going to be 'a few bumps', I'd advise a stiff drink if they say that as it seems to be a gentle way of indicating moderate turbulence. If nothing's announced I wouldn't worry!

I hate flying but I can just about control myself on a flight if its all going smoothly. On the way back to Edinburgh from Malaga a few years ago I was on a flight that hit some minor turbulence about half way. I was white knuckling the arm rests with my eyes tightly shut until it sort of calmed down about 3 mins later xD I could see people were trying not to giggle at me and I was def the most scared in any of the seats near me, everyone else seemed like it was totally normal. When we came in to land an hour or so later in Edinburgh, the winds really picked up to the point where the people around me that were not even slightly phased by the turbulence earlier were clearly panicking. We were coming in to land and the whole plane was shaking like mad, the person I was next to even threw up. I was just totally blank, I had already been stressing for 3 or 4 hours and it honestly felt like it was the end and my fears were justified and I just checked out xD As it turns out, it was just strong cross winds and the pilot stuck the landing like an absolute boss, in fact the actual landing was about as smooth as it gets but the cabin was def traumatised. I felt like standing up and shouting "SEE!! ITS FUCKING SCARY NOW INS'T IT?"
No one should think it funny that someone is scared etc... I'd love to takes these smartarses up in a cradle with me, 170 feet in the air on the outside of a building, on a windy day...and then see if they were laughing 😡

Super view of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Very nice trip review. I have flown all around the world and hardly ever experienced turbulence .... I have been so lucky. Very shocked to see those bed stains.
And yet they make it look so easy on TV lol 😆 I don't think I'm going to be flying anywhere soon, I think travelling to Scotland is far enough thanks haha 😅
I am a recent subscriber to your channel. The joys of air travel. Delays turbulence and queues. Why do we do it? We all just love to travel. Love your vlogs.
I used to be terrified of turbulence, but I studied it extensively.Planes are tested, where they bend the wings to the breaking point. In the US they fly planes into hurricanes to take measurements. So I don’t like turbulence, but there’s no reason to be overly frightened. I just think of it as going down a bumpy road in a truck.🛻
These Ibiza hotels have the air con rigged to the terrace door, I had a roommate in a room in a hotel in the party side of the island that wouldn’t turn off the air con. So I figured out if you had the terrace door even slightly open, without appearing opened, the air con would shut off. Drove him mad but at least I didn’t have the air blasting me in the back as I slept.
Thanks for this Tim. Its good to see what this kind of experience is like - and then realise how grateful I am that I don't ever have to do it!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Worst turbulence I ever had was Heathrow to JFK, just over Boston. Hit a massive patch of turbulence. Drinks flying, stuff coming out of the overhead cabins, people vomiting. It was hell!
10:08 I’ve always wondered why someone chose to put bright yellow in front of ya face on the seats lol 14:59 also how much was the tax in Mallorca? I’m going there in 2 weeks!
Top tip for turbulence, pretend it is a roller coaster! Makes it much more enjoyable and fun😂 The drink that was spilled on you oh my god i would have cried
If you ever come to Cape Town on British Airways flight BA 059, what ever arrival time they give it is not right. It is the flight most tour guides will happily pass on to another guide
Flying back from Dallas USA to London a few years back we were at cruising altitude and drinks etc were being served, suddenly announcement comes to put seat belts on etc…next thing lights are turned off and I see lightning outside to my right, then the plane literally dropped I don’t know how far but the overhead compartments flew open with stuff going everywhere, people screaming and the woman next to me who I didn’t know from Adam got hold of my arm in a death grip and started crying. This went on for less than a minute and then everything was smooth again. When we landed I found out that the thunderstorm we were trying to avoid was larger than anticipated and that we’d caught the edge of the storm’s downdraft. Frightened the life out of me.
@@WalkWithMeTim I prefer staying in England now, it’s always such a hassle abroad! I went can pistilla a few months ago not sure if you’ve been there , close to the airport etc…. But the faff of flying I prefer going to Devon now a days haha
I experienced the worst turbulence ever on a flight to Kenya with Voluntary services overseas. I sat next to an American lady it was a nine hour flight so after eating some food and drinking a beer I decided to have a stroll round the plane. On reaching the tail section a steward thinking I was looking for the toilet pointed it out I thought well Whilst I am here I may as well pay a visit! Went in dropped my trousers sat down and the plane hit Turbulence! A sign lit up Turbulence please return to your seat The steward was tapping on the door and saying similar the ride was so rough I was struggling to pull up my trousers! Had many more fights to Kenya as I married Kenyan but I am always cautious about using the toilet.

I had my first flight in Ryanair from Birmingham to Rhodes in Greece, very good and smooth they’re not that bad but it mostly depends on the weather
Super view of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Very nice trip review. I have flown all around the world and hardly ever experienced turbulence .... I have been so lucky. Very shocked to see those bed stains.
Yes was great view wasn't it at Sunset
And yet they make it look so easy on TV lol 😆
I don't think I'm going to be flying anywhere soon, I think travelling to Scotland is far enough thanks haha 😅
lol
I am a recent subscriber to your channel. The joys of air travel. Delays turbulence and queues. Why do we do it? We all just love to travel. Love your vlogs.
Thanks Heather, I do moan about for the video but yes do lol

thanks Hazel
@@ColchesterCO3 very true
Thanks
Stanstead... never again for us. A small airport trying to handle large passenger quantities.
Yes and it's grotty and old..needs to be Upgraded..
OMG... what a queue...this is all you need after the flight from he'll...
Worst turbulence I ever had was Heathrow to JFK, just over Boston. Hit a massive patch of turbulence. Drinks flying, stuff coming out of the overhead cabins, people vomiting. It was hell!
10:08 I’ve always wondered why someone chose to put bright yellow in front of ya face on the seats lol
14:59 also how much was the tax in Mallorca? I’m going there in 2 weeks!
it was very cheap like 15 euros whole stay
Each to their own not for me but loved the experience and as always thanks for the video.
Taxi line always been like that on late night ibiza flights we’ve waited hour before
“Whoa” ...... as if to say “ slow down” ..... 😂
I went on a Club 18-30 trip to Ibiza once when I was in my early twenties. Oh boy. Never again.
Hi Tim. Your flight looked really scary with all that turbulence. Glad you arrived safe and sound.
Yes it was! I only started rec when it was bad so missed the worst
Me to 🖐️
Did the Captain say anything?
Top tip for turbulence, pretend it is a roller coaster! Makes it much more enjoyable and fun😂
The drink that was spilled on you oh my god i would have cried
It did a bit
This is a great channel. Really enjoying the content
Thanks , means alot
I was just at Stansted Airport last week on a city break to Rome. Stayed in the same car park
Frightened the life out of me.
omg
How long was the queue in the end for the taxi?
longgg
@@WalkWithMeTim I prefer staying in England now, it’s always such a hassle abroad! I went can pistilla a few months ago not sure if you’ve been there , close to the airport etc…. But the faff of flying I prefer going to Devon now a days haha
Jesus! - what a nightmare from start to finish.
I think I will wait for another year.
Sympathies mate.
:-)
I’ve waited two years, I’ll chance it now thanks!
That was really interesting and enjoyable. I’ve subscribed for more adventures.
Awesome, thank you! more abroad adventures to come
Flossie's cake is beautifully decorated ❤
Surely the car hire should be open from first to last flight, I would think
15.48 Why does it look like a hospital? 🤣🤣 You beat me to it…
I used those exact check-in desks @3:23 (desks 501) for a flight two weeks ago to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines / AnadoluJet
wow
What equipment do you use to film this video?

We had some bad turbulence landing back in Manchester a few months ago in a thunderstorm. I'm terrified of flying anyway, but it felt like we dropped 30ft 🤢
Omg
