In his video on how to control your mind, The Anxiety Guy emphasizes the importance of adopting a "lion's mind" rather than a "dog's mind."
The "lion's mind" represents a mindset that focuses on the big picture, maintaining a broad perspective on life's challenges and opportunities. This approach encourages individuals to look beyond immediate worries and stressors, allowing them to see long-term goals and overall well-being.
In contrast, the "dog's mind" is fixated on smaller, immediate concerns, often leading to heightened anxiety and a narrow viewpoint. By cultivating a "lion's mind," individuals can better manage their thoughts, reduce anxiety, and navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.

STOP AND READ THIS. I don’t know who you are but you are here for the same reasons I’ve had. This is to let you know that yes you can overcome anxiety, yes you can have your life back, and nothing that your mental breakdown or panic attack could tell you that can happen, it won’t, it never does. You going to be alright, you’re not going to die, it’s just your body giving you the idea you need to “run”. But your 💯 safe

This approach to anxiety is definitely what has been helping me the most over time. The idea that you pause and teach your mind to do something other than the unhelpful, habitual patterns it's gotten used to try to protect itself. It's why my daily meditation has been so helpful for me as well. It has taught me that training the (subconscious) mind is a process and it takes patience. You just have to keep going and eventually you will see results. It's the same as learning any new skill or language. It's clunky and awkward at the start, but if you keep going it gets easier and easier. Hearing the same kind of idea in a multitude of ways is so helpful for me! So I will incorporate "lion's mind" into my self-care as well when I pause to consider what terrifying, catastrophic scenario my mind has created. Lol.

    Hi,
I came across your channel at the right time of my life! I've been battling with serious anxiety issues for awhile now. Had a nervous breakdown 4 yrs ago! I have learned a lot and do meditation, reiki, tapping ,qigong.. I was doing good with it until I hurt my back bad. 3 months ago. I'm out of the pain but anxiety came back with a force! You are my gift from the universe. Had to do a lot of physical mending but now mental! You've helped me look at things so different about it ,you've given me strength and guidance ,I hear your voice of reason when things start growing. This was another video that strengthens your guidence! Last night I came close to leaning on a lorazepam and after being more the lion than the dog helped so much I never took it!! I love you and grateful !!! Namaste !!
You are my new light and best friend!

Grateful and anxious can’t be same room, be grateful for everything, understand is and never will 100xcent under our control it doesn’t need to be. Make friends with your emotions even if anxiety, contemplating it, talk to it, make friends with anxious feelings and trust. The more you force something the longer it stays but the fact that becoming friend with the anxiety one day it will be gone, and it will stop coming

Surrender accept allow stop trying to work it all out. See the moment through the best of your ability and no more than that otherwise you are forcing the system Let the thoughts emotions and feelings be there they're going to anyways

It makes perfect sense to take the lions perspective. My intrusive thougt has always been that I am too weak or too stupid to do many things so I just withdraw from many acitivities. But from your program I learned to take the bigger perspective or to focus on the good things in my life . Next time the intrusive thougt pops up I will be the lion. Thank you Dennis. 💜

I am so grateful for you! I thankfully have recovered from a period of severe anxiety bordering on panic. I was terrified. My doctor thankfully dud not want to put me on medication. I resorted to immersing myself in your videos and those of other practitioners teaching about anxiety and panic. It took some time and a lot of introspection but I'm happy to report that I am now out of the woods and enjoying life again. Thank you for your very important work. Sending you love and blessings. ❤

I want a daily program/step by step program that mirrors David Hawkins book, letting go the pathway to surrender and power and force. Your letting go anxiety meditation is a perfect example and something I do every day. I am working on deep seated Guilt and Fear. I hope you get this and respond to me. Thank you. .

You're always spot on. I've been catastrophizing all day about something that might happen as a result of some info I received. I have been a dog's mind for sure, frantically running in circles and getting nowhere. I ❤ the idea of being a lions mind.

I totally understand mate. Its so very hard to escape the anxiety/alarm loop. For whats its worth i do a vagus nerve reset a few times a day which has had a positive effect. Lie down, head on a pillow, interlock your fingers and cradle the bottom of your skull. Face upwards and move just your eyes to your right (3 o'clock). Hold that position until you yawn or sigh. Can take 20 secs or a couple of minutes. When completed you should feel substantially more relaxed physically. Iv been doing it for 4 days now and it definitely breaks the moment and the anxious thoughts

I found the imagery as a whole to be helpful. I learn by doing so this sort of thing is difficult as it’s mostly theoretical/ideas/concepts. I can use your analogy now to ‘see’ the symptom as a bone, put it to the side and move on.
Thanku, I find ur videos quite helpful
