Haha so many one liners and puns that make us English viewers fall off our chairs with laughter while Christian makes working on a landrover like a comedy show. You both are so creative and entertaining. The peal of bells at the end of the video was a calling to landrover owners in the local town to bring their broken cars to LR Time for repair. Well done to you both. You've made my Sunday a happy one
It’s what Sunday mornings were made for. It makes me want to buy a broken Land Rover and just rock up at your door with it. I love Vera’s channel and her little helper Christian.
Danke, Danke, Danke, I am sitting here in OZ trying to sort through the utter crap that is on TV in the hope of finding a program that is even mildly amusing, to no avail. Then I open RUclips and find that you have made my Sunday night immensely enjoyable when your video popped up about the 2 hour and 2 problem repair. You are certainly Master class in what you do. Good on ya mate 👏👏🇦🇺
The moment I heard the church bell rang (around 15:40), my heart jumped out of my chest and beat so fast...this scenery of your surrounding reminds me of my childhood home where I grew up, suddenly felt so nostalgic and almost made me cry, missing it so much. Thank you, Christian and Vera. Lot of love from here. Rgrds, a/d
You 2 are hilarious, you have such a Land Rover sense of humour! I have a series 2 currently but will be getting a series 3 as soon as I find one with the exact specification I want, so I’ve watched a lot of your videos and they are all a perfect combination of accurate factual information and brilliant humour! I think you should get a Toyota one day and launch a spin-off RUclips channel called Toyota time where you just upload videos of you week after week having nothing to do!!!
There can never be too many EGR valve videos! Can you post a link for your Swiss watch ratchet spanner, please. You guys deserve an Order of the British Empire award from King Charles for services to Land Rover.
Fantastic, innuendo’s galore and so subtle loved the video, i have had both BMW & “JLR” vehicles and i can safely say that a BMW has a place for everything and everything is in its place whilst a “JLR” has a place for everything and everything held in place by sponge, from an old LR4 owner 😀👍
Like many others I do look forward to Sunday for your video on Land Rover discoveries repairs Me a Toyota driver vdjdualcab v8 diesel Keep up the good work Ainsley from Australia
Seeing that coolant manifold makes me worry about mine. It’s never been changed on my car in 16 years. I have a new one in a box waiting but I also don’t like fixing things that aren’t broken! Great episode. Now I have to wait another week though which is too long.
You guys always make me happy! I never thought I’d be watching two lovely and highly intelligent German people with the best sense of humour I have seen in a long time, speaking amazing English and stripping Land Rovers with ease on their driveway but here I am. I am so glad I found your channel. Amazing job you did there too. I’ve just watched The Car Wizard’s video on the LR1 and LR2! Thanks for another highly entertaining video! It makes me want to buy a (proper) Land Rover!
Oh wow this video was hilariously amusing. All the double entendres about getting it back in and changing positions - in Australia it is 11:15pm and I have upset my neighbour from repeatedly bursting out laughing😂😂😂. So love you two Christian and Vera.
Your banter is priceless and your repair was good job done. just makes me happy I don't own a landrover .but I do like to watch the repair work thanks for your entertaining videos
Fabulous work Christian , you make a good team and the banter is superb , thankyou to you and Vera for another lovely video , and thankyou to Joachim too for providing the problem
Helpful video.. Only to be tried at home when 'erindoors' (the wife) is out shopping. Always ensure your dining room is cleared of all evidence of automotive activity. Top tip... If you have a big oven it might be more cost effective to place both headlamps in the oven... I'm fortunate...I live alone. 😂. Respects from the UK.
I really enjoy the videos you and Vera do, technical, informative, lighthearted, great stuff. Cheers from Miami FL. BTW, In case you're unaware, here in the states Toyota has been using 0w-16 and filters are not much bigger shot glass!
A lot of people over here in the UK blank the egr off but it is there for a purpose so I leave well alone it would not be there if it was not meant to be there ,thanks for the video
@@rvarsigfusson6163me too on my Disco4 2.7 , egr blanking kit and software remap (gap tool needed) . I’ve done that 2 year ago and I don’t have any problem. I think if you make a lots of km in city traffic, you will have a problem with DPF.

He is just a great Mechanic love your vids do you think you should let Vera do a repair on a Land Rover why you film her, I'm sure she would be able to do it now, she as watched so many repairs bless her, thanks guys
Great video you both, back to the good old days. I did the repair in my coolant manifold about 2 years ago. Simple easy and only require a few tools. Also, didn’t need to drain the coolant, it was already below the level of the leak 😂 As far I remember the manual says not to use any grease in the o-rings (which in my case came with the part). To make easier to assemble I just used a little of the coolant itself. EGR wedge was great idea. I blanked my with 5 cent coin and drove 2000km in a “emergency” 😄🙈 Looking forward for the next video.
I got the first comment hooray! Greetings from Australia, Sunday afternoon here. Got my popcorn ready. Toyota drivers have to do everything with one hand because they are holding a beer in the other hand.
Try use this Swiss watch tool on your exhaust oil change. Remember every 6k Land Rover require exhaust oil change. It so mysterious thing like the haggis roaming on glens
Reminds me of a car I had a while back (was a Rover or Land Rover) where I found the end from the EGR valve in the inlet pipe....the problem was that the EGR valve already had an end attached to it so this was an extra one! I don't think it had been replaced previously.
Being a Toyota owner is a very "comfortable" position to watch someone work on a Landrover from. So far as Landrover goes "I've done my time, I've paid my dues".
Christian, you know you look like a proper surgeon with all your long tools right? 💪. Yet another entertaining video. Who ever said that Germans don't make jokes 🙈
Watching you undoing those fiddly screws with your long double extensions puts me in mind of delicate endoscopic surgery. Well done! I knew a surgeon who could wallpaper his hallway through his letter box. Is that the church where you go and pray after LR repairs which I think you advised doing?
There is a section in our church reserved for LR drivers. Visitors can sit there quietly and pray and light candles in case of engine failures. Sometimes there is a line and you have to wait a bit before you get in. Christian
I did EGR delete on my 2007 RRS in 2011. Blanking plate and all hoses off etc. So far my RRS 2012 has not had any issues with EGR …. Touch wood… but will blank it off if and when it happens.
Hello Vera, hello Christian, I hope that you're fine. Another great video, thank you. I have a question, and it is a bit off-topic: Car ramps, this yellow car ramps, where we can purchase them? They looks very solid. Regards, Greg
If a spring fits easily, it's mounted wrong.... I been wrenching away today on my 1968 Landrover. When my first daughter was born I was going to rebuild the engine, she is now 18 and I got the truck started with the newly rebuilt engine last week so a tad slower than you guys!
So you had these parts on hand or did you have an idea before hand and ordered them? Either way, you make it look a lot easier to fix than it really is!
We inspected the vehicle a couple of days before. Then I order everything double to have it on hand. Joachim’s is the same as Veras so we have most parts on hand. Christian
Hello Vera and Christian Did you know for Australian Landrover owners they use Water Manifold Upgrade from Axiom and is made from solid aluminum? Rolf from Portugal
EGR Wedge, 😂😂😂, €98 sounds like a bargain, maybe you could sell a 3d printing design for a smidgeon less and we could print our own? Another wonderful episode full of so much innuendo Kenneth Williams would have been proud. Oh no missus!

Hi guys thanks Vera for the info about the EGR valve cycling in and out three times as I did not know it was for the purpose of self cleaning.
we are all glad you've got friends that have Land Rovers so when yours are working well we can still get videos repairing someone elses 👍

Toyota does not sell diesels in the United States.
True, also, diesel here is even more expensive than premium gas. Don't know of any diesel cars sold here anymore, just trucks.
