Set up my VR2 when it arrived on launch day, but it was late and I did nothing but check out my cars in the VR world (amazing!). I played tonight for the first time, and felt nauseous before I finished my second lap. I'm a bit sick at the moment, and took some cold medicine about 20 minutes prior to playing. I'm hoping that is the reason I got nauseous. Just watched a video on how to avoid motion sickness.
With that said, it is SO IMPRESSIVE.

Try driving an open top car, wearing PS VR2, whilst using a force-feedback racing wheal, with cockpit and set up a large fan, at head hight, a metre or so in front of your cockpit setup.
It is genuinely mind blowing, just how immersive this game gets with the right set up.

If you play sim racing primarily as an attempt to substitute actually getting to a racetrack to drive a car....then there's no question. The idea that a £450 piece of kit is worth it for one game sounds absurd but I already feel like it was worth it.
Driving around tracks at night in the rain in GT7 VR is basically the 'dream' as far as what I thought games could one day be.
I hope we get more racing titles. WRC 2023 (essentially, the new Dirt Rally), Assetto Corsa 2.....would be awesome!

Well I have already played GT7 on my PSVR 2 for over 20 hours. I believe I will spend over 100 to 200 hours on it in March. $550 for 100 hours is like $5 an hour. Why not? GT7 on PSVR 2 will be my go to game in the coming months, besides No Man's Sky and Resident Evil Village. Both games look amazing. There will be over 100 PSVR 2 titles, including two brand new AAA shooting games that will utilize PSVR2's new VR technologies, that will come out on my PSVR 2 this year. I won't even touch any of my 2D games any more this year. BTW, I have 100 Steam games, many of which I have never even touched. IMPORTANT THING that most GT7 VR players dont know is - for anyone wondering how to adjust the in game wheel to be higher or lower, or away from you (the driver), or closer to you, simply lower your head (while you have the psvr2 headset on) and keep pressed the option button if you want the wheel to be higher, raise the head+hold the option button if you want the wheel to be lower. Lean/move your body toward the wheel and keep pressed the option button if you want the in game wheel to be further from you, move away from the wheel+hold on the option button if you want the ingame wheel to be closer to you. So, play around a few times until you get the desired position.

Remember this headset is in Vanilla mode. Imagine if you can use this on PC and tweak it with super sampling etc.... This would be amazing inclarity and sharpness. Ive been using this since day one and finally fired up AC on PC with my G2. G2 much much sharper than this with the tweaks. But I am enjoying GT7.
I suggest to lower the brightness almost lol the way down in the VR setting and in game turn up exposure and Saturation to max. It will give you less Mura

On a side note make sure you go into the system and change it to 120. It is a very noticeable difference with your frames when you don't. Then go into your accessories to your psvr to settings at that point the 120 and HDR will not be grayed out anymore and you will be allowed to switch them on. This works for all your 2D games as well. the only downfall doing this is your system will no longer produce a picture on your TV screen. In fact you can just shut your TV right off because you won't be using it anymore.

The screen door effect is something that's hard for any VR HMD to get rid of. While yes, further increasing the resolution in the HMD can fix it, still having your eyes that close to the screen can still prompt the screen door effect to occur, giving you that blurry 'grid effect' that was mentioned in this video. It's a normal aspect of VR, however I don't think the system is worth it for just one game. I'll wait for the other PSVR games to release before I opt to get one.

The PSVR 2 it’s more like an upgrade than the revolutionary breakthrough I was hoping for. Yes, it has better resolution and other improvements. But it still uses teardrop lenses and of course you are tethered to the console.
GT 7 is an INCREDIBLE game, no doubt about it! But just to play that one game you’re talking well over $600.
But honestly I am very satisfied with the Q2 still. Games like
Mothergunship Forge VR, and even an app that’s a couple of years old like Warhammer 40K battle sister looks very good for the standalone headset. And of course there are many others, like Anshar 2: Hyperdrive is pretty wild.
We’ll have to see when more PSVR 2 games become available that aren’t available for the Q2… or Q3. it can turn around quickly. although the Q3 will have pancake lenses and the price is likely to be at least $100 cheaper than PSVR2.
