Your reaction is a perfect example of why I am so hooked on reactions. (Aside from the fact that I really enjoy your personality, that is.) I almost didn't watch this one because I saw the song listed, and I thought, "Oh yeah, I know that song very well. It's okay. Nothing too special about this song. I can't imagine that a reaction to this would be particularly interesting. I think I'll skip this one." I thought that because, being 61 yrs old, I've heard this song about a thousand times. I've gotten so familiar with it that's it's become almost like background music at this point. I know every note, every beat, every word... and it's kinda ho-hum now. But seeing you experience it for the first time gave me a chance to hear it with new ears, as if I'd never heard it before. It gave me a chance to notice the awesome elements of the song that I'd gotten complacent about. I have a whole new appreciation for this record, and now I'm in love with song again, just like I was 40 years ago.
This whole reaction phenomenon is the coolest thing in the world!!!!! Thanks for another great reaction. And thanks for doing the old songs. It's wonderful to see them find a new life.

Yep, this is my era of music! I'm so happy to be listening to it again. As a young black girl I listened to all genres (Soul, R&B, Rock, Heavy Metal, Country, Pop, Opera, Jazz, Classical, Some Blue-eyed Soul, etc... I liked it All) of music as most of the people I associated with did too. So glad to see that younger generations, like yourself, are now hearing some of the great music of the past. I love your style of the reviews. Keep diving into the good stuff... Music that is... Lol!😊

I first heard that song year 2014. Had my first heartache. I was 22 that time. I went away from the city and did some volunteering work in a beautiful island, just to get my mind off from the heartbreak. As i was travelling by the road towards this island, this song suddenly played in the stereo.
The first time i heard it i felt pain, but a beautiful pain. It was dawn and was cold as i was driving off, and the road was quite dark. As the song was playing I said that I wish he will come back.
But when I went to this new place, i suddenly meet someone new. He helped me moved on from my heartbreak. We had a brief summer love and it was the best i ever had.
Months after, i had to leave him.
I went back to the city leaving so much good memories into that island. This song reminds me of that beautiful moment in my life, how i see the transition from heartbreak to moving on and being happy. I still listen to this song until now, i am now a married woman. But everytime I listen to this song, its like a time machine - it will take me to that experience of mine and my great summer love. This song is a nostalgia. I still get the same feeling everytime i listen to this song, i close my eyes and it brings me to that very specific moment.
Glad this song has been noticed after these years!

It's totally blowing my mind that you were just hearing this song for the first time... Let's get in my time machine and go back to about 1979...I was listening to this song coming from a boom box carried by my brand new "boyfriend"...it was a summer night and I was 10 years old. Well, we went to the back of the playground of my elementary school near the fences, and he put down the boom box, turned up the volume and that lil player gave me my first kiss. Hearing this song takes me right back there. That was sooo many years ago. Watching you react this way makes me really happy. :)
