La Grange, for example is a little ditty about a “shack outside La Grange.” Mostly known as the Chicken Ranch, it was a Texas brothel, open from 1905 to 1973. A simple farmhouse with no signs advertising its purpose, the Chicken Ranch ran with the knowledge, if not the blessing, of local politicians and law enforcement.
It not only inspired the 1973 ZZ Top hit, but also the Broadway and film adaptations of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

Good old ZZ Top! Great reaction Leo, funny thing about this band, the drummer's name is Frank Beard, and he is the only one of the 3 guys in the band without a beard. Billy Gibbons(lead guitar/vocals) and Dusty Hill (bass guitar) always had really long beards. 😆 They are another one of those great old 1970's bands with only 3 guys. They had a lot of hits in the 80's too and the car they used in the music videos from the Eliminator album had a life of it's own, appearing at classic or hot rod car shows all over the county. Billy Gibbons would make appearances with it sometimes and sign autographs. I'm bad, I'm nationwide is a great song, I saw lots of great ones mentioned already, but you'd get a laugh out of Tube Snake Boogie and Pearl Necklace. 🤣 Cheap Sunglasses is a fun song, Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers is another one. They are a vibe all their own, that's for sure! 😎✌️

Awesome band. I saw them with about 30 of my friends . We were at Veterans Memorial early 70's in Columbus Ohio. Bad ass band guy. I saw Ted Nugent there around the same time. He came swinging across the stage no shirt and was on a rope like Tarzan. His guitar was screaming to the opening of "Strangle Hold". OMG! IT WAS INCREDIBLY AWESOME! I've had some great adventures in my life and been to hundreds and hundreds of concerts. I've loved every minute of it. I think thats one reason I enjoy your videos so much. Your reactions are great and real. You really just get the music and thats what it's all about. The music and people.

ZZ Top was the first concert I ever went to in 1982, as a 14 year old sitting in the back seat with her best friend. Her brother and his friends were in the front seat passing around a jug of wine and a joint. My Mom had no idea what she let me do until I was an adult with kids of
    My own.

Sooo many outrageously good songs by ZZ Top but I'm going to recommend "Nationwide." (I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide... Killer). The studio version from the Deguello album. They are great live but there are awesome nuances in the studio recording that you don't get live. It's just cool and funny. Tons of charisma from this band, these tres hombres.
