This song dropped in 1977 and is still a banger but I got a couple for y'all: I Can't Tell You Why by Eagles and Ride Like The Wind by Christopher Cross!
FANTASTIC REACTION!! Since you liked that - Everyone thinks of these 2 groups & songs. Very smooth blue eyed soul. Ace "How Long" Ambrosia "Biggest Part Of Me" & "How Much I Feel"
The thing about the 70s music......it's timeless. I was born in 54 and for me music really started with the Beatles. Sure there was good music before them....but... it definitely sounds dated or old fashioned. 70s music still sounds great today!
I disagree that it sounds "dated." It's just different trends from era to era. And there's no reason to pigeon hole yourself to a handful of musical styles or think that just because it isn't modern day it's not worth listening to. There's value to be had from all music no matter when it was created.
This song is so smooth and one that stays with you when you combine the words, vocals and instruments. BABY COME BACK reached number one for 3 weeks on January 14, 1978 { the decade of great music} I agree great reaction. You guys should feature HALL AND OATS a very popular duo with songs like, RICH GIRL, SARA SMILE, OUT OF TOUCH AND I CAN'T GO FOR THAT.
In the mid 1960's, technology caught up with high fidelity. Before that time, sound quality was not that good. The Beatles pushed technology to the limits and made the first "perfect" album called Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band,in 1967, which was the first album to be multi-tracked in total in high quality stereo. After the success of that album (23 weeks at #1 in England), every recording artist wanted their albums to be recorded that way and by the middle 70's, that's the way everybody did it! It took that long to build enough multi-track recording studios.
I was around 10 or 11 when this came out, and I've only rarely heard it much in many years, but I still remember every word. Yes, miss the big groups with all the instruments. Thanks for the great reaction 💕
Yeah, back I'm my day they made real music. None of this computer shit! Musicians worked at their craft. Thank you for listening to my generation of music. This is why my generation were a peaceful bunch. IT'S THE MUSIC MAN!
This is purely one of the best songs and the best times. Music of the 70s was deep with lyrics and no autotune. Thanks for bringing memories back to me. Keep listening there's so much more.
Amazing what ACTUAL MUSICIANS can do, right? No twerking.....no crotch grabs, no auto tune, no f bombs.....actual lyrics u can understand, people playing instruments, harmony, skills.......a lot different from studio trash u can hear today
You have to understand, this was 1977/'78, when music videos were still a relatively new concept. Player had one more hit in the same year called "This Time I'm In It For Love", and that was it for the band. The guy in the orange shirt 'Ronn Moss' was also on the daytime soap opera called "The Bold And The Beautiful"...
@@reginayoung5578 ~ It's definitely a great tune. I remember seeing an interview with Ron Moss, and he talked about being in 'Player'. That's how I found out...
YOU CAN OLD AND NEW BUT CAN'T GRT BACK THE ONE YOU GAVE YOUR TOOOO. ALOT OF THESE GREAT SINGERS KNEW WHAT GOT LIFE. LIKE Cher Said If I COULD TURN BACK TIME... ANOTHER GREAT ONE. OH LOVE THAT FEELING WHAT GOOD PERFORMANCERS REALLY GET THE SOUL. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU. TAKE CARE.🔦
Hi 🙂 Back in the day videos weren't a thing. Sometimes "videos" are a performance on a TV music or variety show. Early actual videos to be shown on MTV or VH1 are experiments to a large extent. I have a couple of suggestions. Santa Bring My Baby Back To Me - Elvis Nights on Broadway on The Midnight Special - Bee Gees
Enjoy the ride fellas it’s gonna take you a lifetime to go from the 60s all the way through to today’s music…… I can never get enough of this song sounds just like you did the day it came out on the radio
Check it out, if you want to hear pure true hip hop. Listen to Digital Underground. 2Pac got his start from them. The song is SAME SONG from the movie Nothing but Trouble.
This came out in the times when you had to know how to really sing...and they really do. Some trivia for you... The guy all dressed in red in the group is now a actor and has been acting on the Soap Opera "Bold and the Beautiful" since it first came on.
So don't be trying to use that line now cuz everybody will know LOL seriously those dudes are so cool they had some good music back then and lots of it. I feel blessed I was there. Nice reaction guys
The entire 70's was great music. That was our internet if you will, the radio, albums, cassettes. Loved the entire soft rock sound and this one is a classic. It's great to relive music with you 2!! Keep going...❤👍🏽
I never saw this video, before, I just heard it on the 📻 radio and friends houses hundreds of times. Another classic, IMO. Thanks, Raymond and Keylow!!🙏🌲😇
man o man i was 15 when this came out and dug hard then and yes it sounds better today . this stuff is what we all crave and don't realize untill we hear it
Our sound quality was better than video quality from back then. I was in high school when this was popular in 78 & 79. It was #1 on charts in early 78.
If you want to have a christmas feeling. Please react to swedish Chris Klafford, his voice is amazing. He has done the most beautiful cover of "Santa Claus is coming to town". ruclips.net/video/AlnxRJ3eIRs/видео.html He has also been on AGT with Imagine. His voice has high notes, rasp and is so smooth.
These are all arranged by the artist. No computers, auto tune... Just talent. Music sounds like shit now. Watch the movie, "Sound City", and you'll understand. Mixed with the "Neve" board.
Yes! The days of absolute retention! Lol I remember these song lyrics from the radio than I remember the actual emotions of life hahaa This is fun tho, I was so young when this came out, but dad was Mr Music, so I heard all of this genre! *top 40* back then it was referred to! Hope you look for "Midnight Special" when checking thse oldies out! Always live (no smoke & mirrors😉) Cheers & hugs, guys! Thanks!! ♥️✌
The graphics suck because this video is from the 70's. You're looking at a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy..etc. The video quality drops a little bit with every copy. But yeah, this song is silky smooth
Don't automatically diss something because you think it's "old." As this song and I'm sure others has shown you, there's good music from all the decades. Keep in mind too that just because the video looks a bit shaky or blurry, might be from the degradation of the original recording. Keep watching and reacting. To best appreciate music means widening your tastes beyond what you normally listen to.
Player doesn't mean then what it means now. I believe the group got their name after watching an old movie in which all the actors got credit on one screen. At the top of the screen, it would have "The Players," then all the actors and roles. I don't know when single screen credits for actors changed, but it's at least after 1932. I'm watching "Doctor X" 1932 and it has "The Players," and all the actor names. It's a good two strip technicolor movie and a pre-code horror movie about cannibalism.
This song dropped in 1977 and is still a banger but I got a couple for y'all: I Can't Tell You Why by Eagles and Ride Like The Wind by Christopher Cross!
The Eagles will block their video. Don Henley is talented (I saw him live) but a real jerk.
Great tune! The stuff at that time in the 70's gave off the most positive energy! 🙏💫
FANTASTIC REACTION!! Since you liked that - Everyone thinks of these 2 groups & songs. Very smooth blue eyed soul.
Ace "How Long"
Ambrosia "Biggest Part Of Me"
& "How Much I Feel"
And Pablo Cruise!
Three of the best!
The thing about the 70s music......it's timeless. I was born in 54 and for me music really started with the Beatles. Sure there was good music before them....but... it definitely sounds dated or old fashioned. 70s music still sounds great today!

Great tune man with a killer chorus. Oh and this is just a band playing it's own instruments and using their own voices....what a concept ? :)
Love their soulful sound! Reminds me of Hall and Oates! Check out “Sara’s Smile” and “She’s Gone”. You’ll love those too.
You might want to look at your grandparents in a different light...we were cool...and still are! From your 72 year old Granny! Smooth!

The low quality of video ... that was HIGH QUALITY back then hahah ... the vocals are really though ... this is panty dropping music lol
This old white lady loves you both. You are both so respectful and your admiration for music from my generation makes me happy. Love your channel!
They were REALLY singing and playing the instruments..Thats why it's timeless and classic. It will sound just as good 40 years from now
This song is so amazing. I have adored it for 4 decades. Great choice!!!
Amazing what ACTUAL MUSICIANS can do, right? No twerking.....no crotch grabs, no auto tune, no f bombs.....actual lyrics u can understand, people playing instruments, harmony, skills.......a lot different from studio trash u can hear today
This is a Smooth Ass Song!!! Heard it growing up and thought… Smooth:)

And I didn't know Ron Moss was in Player until I saw this video a couple yrs ago and recognized him. Player is awesome and this song 🎵 a favorite
@@reginayoung5578 ~ It's definitely a great tune. I remember seeing an interview with Ron Moss, and he talked about being in 'Player'. That's how I found out...
This brings back back happy memories from childhood. I grew up in the best time in music.

Ahhh, the memories of slow-dancing to this song at my high school dances! 💃🕺💃🕺
YOU CAN OLD AND NEW BUT CAN'T GRT BACK THE ONE YOU GAVE YOUR TOOOO.

You guys are nearly up to 10k Subs......i enjoy watching you guys keep up the good work.
You should probably check out something from Chicago maybe 25 or 6 to 4 for starters you will be amazed how good they are
The golden years of music.
OMG - LOL you nailed it. This song is "player smooth".
This song/music video is from 1977. The quality looks fine for the time period.
This is one of my favorites from the 70's!! And yes, could be released today..and would be just as big of a hit!
One of my all-time favorite songs. I just wish the song and the guitar solo at the end were much longer!!!
Check out You Are In My System by The System. Lit!✌
The guy in the orange became a big soap opera star.
Ron Moss as Ridge Forrester on Bold & the Beautiful.
Ridge Forrester on the bold and the beautiful 30 min soap.
You guys crack me up! Love the personality!
One of my favorites…. Just discovered your channel. Enjoyed your comments.🙂
If you ever watched the Bold and Beautiful soap in the past, see if you recognize the band member that played Ridge.
Hi 🙂 Back in the day videos weren't a thing. Sometimes "videos" are a performance on a TV music or variety show. Early actual videos to be shown on MTV or VH1 are experiments to a large extent.
I have a couple of suggestions.
Santa Bring My Baby Back To Me - Elvis
Nights on Broadway on The Midnight Special - Bee Gees
Try Suzi Quatro Devil 😈 Gate Drive, 48 crash, If you can't give me love, the wild one, can the can and try Suzi Quatro with Chris Norman Stumblin in
Enjoy the ride fellas it’s gonna take you a lifetime to go from the 60s all the way through to today’s music…… I can never get enough of this song sounds just like you did the day it came out on the radio

Try some Boz Scaggs, you'll dig it
One of my favorite songs!
...."The graphics of this video is crazy bogus".....
I cried when he said that.
Peace.
One of the good ones!! Man!!
i forgot about this song. It's a banger!
I've got no clue why this talented band only recorded 1 more LP after this and called it day...a true case of wasted talent.
This song came out before music videos were invited, hence the video quality. Michael Jackson really revolutionize music videos in the early 80’s.
This came out in the times when you had to know how to really sing...and they really do.
Some trivia for you... The guy all dressed in red in the group is now a actor and has been acting on the Soap Opera "Bold and the Beautiful" since it first came on.

React to Brownstone "If you Love Me"
Back when no “auto tune” was needed… 🤔
You guys need to listen to Black Betty by Ram Jam. Never tire of it.
The entire 70's was great music. That was our internet if you will, the radio, albums, cassettes.
Loved the entire soft rock sound and this one is a classic.
It's great to relive music with you 2!!

Thanks, Raymond and Keylow!!🙏🌲😇
Great song! Loved it back in the 70s and love it now.
This is my favorite song from Jr high, 77-78. One of the best songs ever!
man o man i was 15 when this came out and dug hard then and yes it sounds better today .

62 and still feelin it like yesterday.
Fabulous and smoooooooth! You are gonna love Hall and Oates- “ I Can’t Go For That”.
This was way before your parents ever met,lol
70s
One of my faves. The bass player Ronn Moss portrayed Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. Loved your reaction to this.
You need to react to POCO... Rose of Cimarron
Please React To Waylon Jennings - The Road
Raw talent and no auto tune back in 1977.
Nice reaction. 70’s music is great. How about a reaction to Teddy Pendergrass singing I don’t Love You Anymore?
Nothing beats 70s music...
Black or white the music will always win.
React to panther movie freedom rap version
If you want to have a christmas feeling. Please react to swedish Chris Klafford, his voice is amazing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯
This was a huge hit!
All this sound and they didn't have auto tune
☮️💙💙💙🔥🌟🎄
Our music back then was fantastic
In the days when you had to know how to sing.
Great reaction! Give a listen to Sweet, Fox on the Run, and The Baby's, Isn't it Time!

Merry Christmass bro’s!
One part of the Soundtrack of my Youth. Loved it then as today.
Similar to Hall and Oates.

What's up guys, love your channel. Was wondering is that a Armstrong High School Wildcats Jacket ( Richmond, VA ) u got on?
😮😮 fire😊😊😊😊😊
How about more from Players, Ambrosia, and Hall and Oates? Referred to as Blue Eyed Soul back in the 70-80s.
Not bad for 70s ay
